The food at Delano Seafood Market is absolutely fantastic! So is the service! I had never eaten a lobster club sandwich before. My dad has told me how good Delano's market and restaurant is several times, so I stopped in on my way to visit him. I picked up what is easily the best fresh haddock, and therefore the best haddock, I have ever had in my life from the shop. I cooked it really simply in butter and added a little lemon and it was incredible. The shop is also super cute with local goods, wine, shirts, etc. The service was great. Got a haddock basket which includes slaw and fries. The tiny tub of slaw was alright (think condiment tub filled with about 3 TBsp of slaw) and a massive raft of hot squishy fries under the huge slab of haddock. I am not fond of squishy fries. But they were not oily and they were understated like I prefer. The haddock was the headliner--flaky, mild and moist. And barely fit in my clamshell box diagonally. If I rated the fish alone for $8.99 it would be 4 maybe even 5 stars. Heck, they sell it for that raw in the seafood market. The Maine crab cake was a disc of mostly filler and breading. Could barely taste the crabmeat. For $5.99 it was not for me. Brisk business and orders are car hopped. Will return for the haddock. read more

Went on a hike down in Friendship and thought, what a better to finish off the afternoon than with a lobster roll nearby. The spot I originally picked was closed on Sundays, so Delanos was next on the map and they didn't disapoint. I ordered a lobster roll with fries, blueberry tea, and a whoopie pie (does it get ANYMORE Maine than that?!). The roll had plenty of meat, a perfect meshing of mayo and seasonings, and the bun was toasted to buttery perfection. Fries were demolished. Tea gone in a few thirsty gulps. The whoopie made whoopie to my sweet tooth. No complaints! You order at the trailer with super friendly staff, all taking precautions with the current climate. They bring the food to your car and you attack the meal in the comfort of your car. read more

From the snack shack! price are good and the portion was perfect and they actually bring the food to you. This little gem deserves a five for sure!!! We came here on our way out of Rockland and stopped on a whim because as we still hadn't had any lobster ( Were road tripping and needed to move on.... But not without some lobster first!) Anyways, the people who helped us were so sweet and accommodating! The man told me I could have just the fresh lobster without the mayo or on the roll.... Exactly what I wanted!!!! I also ordered a crab cake and sweet pot fries.... Which were both delicious! Not greasy at all and didn't have the usual "fry" taste. PERFECT! The lobster was AMAZING!!!! I ate the half lb with nothing else.... Sooooooo good! My hubs had a lobster role, fries and slaw. Equally worth it (y'all know I just like to eat healthy for the most part). They have a bunch of different seafood rolls and platters to try, lots of sides, and a store where you can buy fresh seafood to take with you. Prices were comparable to everywhere else we looked, and although this is a little stand with a detached store, it is totally worth coming here! Bring a picnic cloth in the summer! Lobster was good, but service was poor and obnoxious. Were told they only had select lobsters and no hard shells - not sure how much I believe this. They then put the lobsters in a bucket and weighed them charging us for the weight of the bucket too! When we said something they actually gave us attitude. The best Lobster roll we have ever tasted! The sweet and tender Maine lobster was prepared perfectly and you can choose up to a 1 lb. sandwich if you want. The fried haddock was a generous size and fresh also. The haddock chowder was rich for our taste but loaded with haddock. read more

We were driving to Camden and searching for a lobster roll for the wife and side dishes for the family. Passed Red's Eats in Wiscasset and saw a line there so my wife called to find out wait time and price of lobster roll... couldn't get wait time but got $25 for the lobster roll so we kept driving! Came upon Delano Seafood and saw a large menu with $16.99 lobster roll so we were sold! My wife reported 4 stars for the roll (which is small) but the other items were not so good thus 3 stars... fries, new chicken sandwich, buffalo cauliflower and some Asian dumpling thing that was awful. If I were to recommend this place, stick to the lobster roll which my wife reported was better than Pete Ott's on the water in Camden.... and that was surprising! read more

We visited Delano's yesterday evening with high hopes from the reviews, and word of mouth. We pulled in and of course Wednesday nights are their cruise in nights, so we expected them to be busy. The parking lot was nearly full, so we were eager to try different items on the menu. The ordering process was simple and easy, and the young lady taking orders was very pleasant. They bring the food right to your car, and the lady doing that was very sweet. The wait time was about 35 minutes, but again, we expected this. If I was giving a rating on ease of ordering and customer service, they would get a 5 all day. We appreciated the kindness. However, now onto the food. This is where Delano's drops the ball.... and this is the most important part. We ordered chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks for the kiddos, Mac n' cheese bites, a clam strip basket, and a haddock taco basket. The total was around $58 with tip. Overall, the food is mediocre at best. The mozzarella sticks are similar to the frozen kind purchased at Sam's club, they are nothing to write home about. They are thin and most of the cheese was in the takeout container. The French fries were the most disgusting fries I have ever had. They're cut super thin, and the only taste coming out of them is the oil they are cooked in. They were so soggy, and need to be cooked about 20 minutes more to achieve any crispiness at all. The coleslaw could be drank, so that leaves a lot to be desired. I was looking forward to trying some fresh local clam strips and let me tell you, they were very rubbery and also tasted like they came from a frozen bag that you can purchase at any local discount store. The haddock taco was decent and the sauce on top was delicious. The over abundance of coleslaw made it soggy and messy, which really took away from the appeal. The haddock was tasty, so they do get some points back for that. The chicken tenders are very yummy and kid approved. Between the haddock, chicken tenders, and customer service that earned you a 2 star review. While I would not go out of my way to recommend anyone to visit this spot, I do hope the quality gets better in the future. read more

We went for lunch at their food truck. The fish sandwich was delicious. We were a fairly large group and we all sampled each other's food. Was given to lobster roll, onion rings , sausage sandwich and french fries . They had a blueberry soda that was so fun. The menu is extensive so everyone can be happy. We were for sure. read more
