I have finally found my nail salon in Sun Prairie. This is the only nail salon I will go to now…read more Excellent, polite, kind technicians who will/can actually converse with you if you so desire. What I really love about this place is that there is ZERO pressure to up-scale your pedicure. I've been to the other salons in town; the minute you sit down they hand you a book and pressure a more expensive pedicure with a lot of useless fluff. This place is appointment only and cash only. I highly recommend you give them a try. You will be more than thrilled with the people and the results.

Lovely Nails fit the bill. When I visited the salon, it was a Tuesday, early afternoon. There was only one other client in the salon and she was nearly finished. There were only two people working there, but both were very nice. The salon also was very clean. It was no frills, which is fine with me. I went in for a mani/pedi. A woman (sorry, I didn't get her name), did my pedi. She was very good. She spent a good amount of time with a pumice stone, and for the most part was very gentle. She had a little trouble with polishing my toenails, but I have small feet and toes, and she got off all the excess polish, so it was not at all an issue. There are four pedicure chairs; two looked brand new and a third one she told me was also new. The one they save for client who like a more rigorous back massage. I have a bad back, so I don't even turn on the chair, so I was fine forgoing that. It's been nearly a week, and my toes look good. My nails were done by the other person working there, who is a man. He was also nice, though, maybe not as quite as attentive to detail as the woman. I'll have to go back and give him another try. The best part? The mani/pedi was only $44! That very good for this area where one can pay easily over $50. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that they are limited on the colors they offer of nail polish. Next time, I'll bring my own if I want something special. I would definitely recommend them if you want decent mani/pedi for a decent price.

They seemed as though they were irritated the moment I came through the door, didn't even acknowledge my presence, I had to ask them if they had time to do a pedicure. They said yes. The place looked out of date... pictures on walls looked dusty and old. The pedicure looked ok but chipped within a few days. I don't think I'll be back.... I'd rather drive the distance to another nail salon where people are actually friendly and happy.

I am impressed by the quality of this pedicure, particularly in the thorough callus care, as well as the precise application of the white french tips. I called without any appointment and they said I could come in right away. The salon looks and feels sterile and clean throughout, which contributed to the overall quality of the experience. Lala is a kind and lovely person and I always leave feeling beautiful. I even take my 14year old and get their nails done. She always does such a great job, she listens to her clients and help's come up with some wonderful idea's. I get compliments constantly, as do my daughters all the time. I get very anxious about hair cuts often because I feel like I have difficulty communicating what I want. Alice is very approachable and she gave me advice on what styles would or wouldnt work with my face and hair type. (A good stylist should be able to say no if they can see a certain cut won't work for your hair type... I really appreciate that!) She helped me figure out what would work and then gave me wonderful cute bangs. I may never go back to long front hair again. I went back a second time to Alice to get a few inches cut off for the summer, and I am incredibly happy. She has a true passion for hair and beauty, and a great person to ask for advice. I had an experience at this salon at my past visit. I came in for a simple acrylic manicure and…read moreremoval. The entire process took 3 hours. An hour and a half was spent on shaping my nails alone. My manicurist was throughout my service talking on the phone with multiple different people, laughing and chatting with her fellow coworker that was seated next to her not working, and operating very slowly. At one point she was on the phone with the police and asked me to translate the conversation she had. Very unprofessional. I partially attribute the slow working to the attention to detail on my nails and shaping, but often it felt she was just taking her time. I left the salon with cuts all over my nails and hands, as well as gel polish cured to my fingertips. My hands are still in pain days later. The facility itself is dirty, with the desks for nails being dusty and clearly unclean. My nails turned out okay, my manicurist did not ask for my input in the style of nails. When I suggested that the design I requested be altered several times, she just decided to paint them however she thought looked best. Also, this place charges for different nail shapes? Not something I have heard of or experienced prior.
