I'm very disappointed with my recent experience with Grails SF. I've purchased several pairs of shoes from them in person in the past, but after this experience, I won't be returning as a customer. I placed an order through their website, only to have it canceled and refunded the following day because the shoes had been listed at the wrong price. I was told the pricing error was due to an "intern" mistakenly listing the item incorrectly. While I understand that mistakes happen, I don't believe customers should bear the consequences of a business's pricing error. Given Grails SF's reputation, I expected them to honor the listed price or, at the very least, offer a reasonable solution. I even asked if they could provide a discount on a future purchase as a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience, but I was told there was nothing they could do. That response was especially disappointing and left me feeling that customer satisfaction was not a priority. Unfortunately, this experience has changed my opinion of the business. Because of the lack of customer service and willingness to make things right, I won't be purchasing from Grails SF again. read more

Really good experience! I didn't know what to expect, really, I've never been into sneakers beyond a $100. But the offspring wanted to use some of her bday money on Jordan's. I'm from the East Bay, so not too familiar with this part of SF. It's mainly a residential section, with a few stores. Seems kinda quiet, and a decent neighborhood with easy parking out front. A very cool and hip front of store with an ultra clean and well presented inside. Each shoe is wrapped in sealed plastic, and from what I could tell, these guys are a stickler from detail: so clean and only the best for the used shoes. They had jerseys and other apparel. Gorgeous stuff. The guys that worked here were very super nice and helpful. Kudos! read more

Had a bad experience selling my shoes here, store wrote a bad check and funds weren't available when I cashed it. Went back and forth with store trying to communicate with someone to try and help me but nobody was getting back to. Girl in front was useless too she didn't know what she was doing when she said she was trying to help. She told me she would reach out to the store owner. They still never reached out and I had to call many times just to reach the owner. Bank put check on hold which created a whole another problem. Still nobody seemed to know what to do to try and help, I was being professional too. After multiple weeks with arguing with bank, the check was finally release to me. I don't recommend this place for selling or buying shoes after encountering this problem . read more

Great local consignment shop. They have a really great selection of both new and used shoes across all the major popular hype brands. They also buy shoes and clothing that are popular. Items can be new or used, but price will be dictated by popularity and condition. Of all the consignment shops in the San Francisco area, Grails is one of the best and most fair when it come to buying back your stuff. One of the best things they do is offer random steals and deals on their Instagram bag. I've been able to take advantage of many greats deals being close to the shop. They're a perfect example of not needing a huge storefront to be successful. Quality over quantity is a great approach to have. Their staff is also really nice and willing to help answer any questions you have. Definitely check out the shop if you're in the area. Finally a good shoe store in my neighborhood! What first caught my eye was walking by and seeing the key master arcade game by the front door and saw that it was filled with shoes. I decided to give it a play and was so close to winning a couple times... but maybe next time. After getting past the game, I walked in and saw that they had a plethora of different shoes and goodies - from a variety of Nikes, Adidas, and Jordans to socks, shoe cleaners, and backpacks - they had it all (even a pair of oreo racers I've been looking for!). Great local consignment shoe store. The prices are very good compared to other shops around the Bay Area. The staff are friendly and attentive, greeting me right as I came in. Circling around for half an hour looking for parking in the neighborhood for a shoe store usually located in the more urban areas and then paying half of my life savings to a meter only to end up with 15 minutes. #SF You know what I do like? Grails SF. Okay, let's be completely real here. Where else can you find a consignment shoe store in the sunset district ("The Avenues" for those who aren't from here) ran by two locals, where prices are if not market, below market, and the customer service is awesome? They always have in stock the newest releases in a variety of sizes and a galore of other consigned shoes all displayed over the wall for your choosing. Not only do they carry shoes, but they also carry a lot of shoe accessories such as The Shrine bags (for all you shoe heads out there), shoe cleaners, and cute little shoe key chains too where you can tie the actual laces (What the fuck...so cool right????). No more having to buy that shit online and waiting a couple days before it arrives! They have the infamous Key Master arcade machine with a bunch of cool prizes inside (Yeezys, Jordans, Golden State Warriors Tickets, $1000 cash). I haven't won it....YET....but shout out to that little kid that was there the other day that won a pair of Concords. Lowkey very jealous.................................. If you follow them on Instagram (which you should..and you'll see why), they usually post up random deals and giveaways throughout the week. I was at work when they gave away free Warrior tickets that one day.......*SIGH* Anyways, the owners are not only friendly and more than willing to help you out, but they're completely honest (which is surprisingly a rare trait to find nowadays..) and would do whatever they can to find the best solution to your needs. Sounds corny, but it makes you really feel like they value customer satisfaction/loyalty a lot more than making a quick dollar off your broke ass (which you will be if you keep coming here as often as I do). Every sneakerhead's toy store is a consignment store. You get to see/buy all the rare shoes that you will probably never see in a retail store (due to resellers/other sneakerheads cleaning them out). This store isn't like your typical consignment store (in my opinion). Yes, it's new and their inventory probably isn't HUGE yet but their decor is awesome. This place is well lit and has slaps playing all day. Everyone here is SUPER friendly (both customers and the employees) and their prices are SUPER fair (lower than other consignment stores). They also have a key master where you can win shoes ($5/play). Every time I come, I always give it a few tries. Maybe one day I'll win myself some yeezys for $5. If you're a sneakerhead and happen to be in the area (or in a neighboring city even), this place is definitely worth the stop. read more

I've come here a lot for shoes such as red steel 10s, spacejam 11s 2009 release, maroon 6s, win like 82 11s, and pine green 1s. But when I got my space jams I realized one shoe was a size 10 and the other a 9.5. I don't know if they could fix this but I'm just sad that this happened because I really like this shop and this mixup happened.
