Given that most all my reviews are about restaurants, it's probably not shocking to hear that I am a bit of a big guy. While most sizes tend to run smaller with regard to more indie or fashion brands, an XXL doesn't often work, and so I love SFP because they actually carry some items in 3XL. Now, don't get me wrong, the rave review isn't about sizes, I love these folks for their service. I have shopped a couple times, even hit up their little spot at the Cal Academy of Sciences for their Nightlife events, and every time I have had any interaction with anyone from the SFP family, they have all been unbelievably friendly and helpful, the sort of people you feel good about doing business with. Short while back, as Giants were rolling into the postseason, I checked in to see if they had any of the Giants/SFP tees available in my size, knowing sometimes things aren't in enough stock online to show as available, but might exist in the store. They were out, but mentioned they were in the process of printing more shirts. Not only did they remember me, but reached out to let me know when they were available. Small thing, but meant a lot. Quality of this sort is rare anymore, and when you combine that with really exceptional product, you can't beat it. read more

I had a total brain freeze and didn't connect San Franpsycho being the store that does all our elementary school's t-shirts. (I think for free so we can fundraise even more much-needed money.) I thought that t-shirt in the photo looked really familiar! Middle age is great- it allows you to be constantly surprised as your brain synapses fire ..then sputter out. So San Franpsycho is AWESOME! Their t-shirts are super high quality, pre-shrunk heavy cotton so they don't shrivel 2 sizes after the first wash. They also keep their shape and don't look sloppy and misshapen after repeated washings. And I know whence I speak: I'm always doing the wash because my child is a filthy, dirty, mystery-stained little boy. San Franpsycho's designs are great and its newer store location is an awesome place to buy souvenirs for friends (or heck, something warm for SF's varying microclimates). Their Inner Sunset location makes it an easy stop before heading out to Golden Gate Park. If you haven't been to this store, you need to go & buy some hipster wares and grab a cup of coffee. I stopped by this spot today on my way to Golden Gate Park, and am glad I did! San Franpsycho is celebrating this location's grand opening today, so there were small samples of pie and "Pice Cream" to try. All of the employees were super friendly and particularly jolly, and it's awesome that two include a mother-daughter team. On top of the ice cream with the delicious pie in it, our iced lattes also had cool skeleton ice cubes, and the merchandise sold in the store all oozed San Franciscan character. San Franpsycho is a San Francisco independent retailer. It's for hipsters..perhaps sporty hipsters. It's fun. I see people wearing "San Franpsycho" t-shirts..mostly guys. I decided to visit today and look around and saw some stuff that was appealing...some of it was 30% off. The store is sparsely visited, but I like it. I decided on some sunglasses for the heck of it and it had the San Franpsycho logo. The attendant told me they are having a party on Saturday for St. Patrick's Day from 1-5pm. Maybe I'll visit again. Conveniently located right by one of my favorite restaurants in the city - Pacific Catch. San Franpyscho always adds new energy and vigor to whatever neighborhood that they inhabit. Their passion for what they do - is contagious. Their new space looks great and it's remarkable how quickly they put it all together. It's a big size for the area - and is adorned with some impressive art-work. They carry the same wearable items that their other location has - as well. Soft cotton and their recognizable logo. I was totally about the orange beanie but didn't necessarily vibe with the color of the logo on what was displayed. Really great service, Azura (going off the name on the receipt, sorry haha) was really patient and helpful! Note that there are no refunds (only exchanges) which made it worth it for me to go in store rather than shop online. The shirts pretty much fit true to size imo, a short sleeve was $29 and a LS $36. Somewhat pricey at first glance but considering then effort and labor involved, reasonable! Feels good to represent the city (and district!) as well as support small businesses in my own neighborhood, especially when going elsewhere for college. This company used to be pretty cool 10 years ago. I recently visited again over the weekend after not going in for quite a few years and sadly it seems to have lost its identity. Did they sell the company to someone else? Because it isn't anything like how it used to be. Now it reminds me of that one friends dad in high school who is still trying to be "cool" and relevant but it's just embarrassing. The shirt designs used to be awesome, but now are very plain and unoriginal. They seem to just be putting their logo on anything and everything they can get their hands on in an attempt to make a little money. The store itself was a mess. Cardboard boxes and bags sitting on the floors and counters, I almost wanted to ask if they were going out of business. I really hope this place can turn it around. Being that shops are limiting patrons inside right now, before entering the store, I asked the employee if it was okay to come in and was immediately "shushed" by another employee who was apparently filming something for social media. As appalled as I was, I still bought my son a shirt. I've supported this store for years, it probably ends now since they care more about "doing it for the gram" than actually keeping the customers they already have. Great store to stop by every once in awhile if you're also visiting Golden Gate Park. They seem to have a lot of unique things in stock that change over time and come from various local independent sellers. I purchased a very nice jean jacket that was crafted by a woman who runs a clothing line from nearby San Carlos. The staff here are wonderful -- they helped me peruse all the different jean jackets they had (each one had a unique design). I ended up leaving without purchasing anything and because the jean jacket was so lovely, I called back to put it on hold which they let me do for a week. I even called back a few times to make sure it was there and they were friendly every time! I will certainly make it a point to occasionally stop by to see if anything new is in stock thanks to the stag and the nice collections here. If you're a tourist, I think this would be a great place to buy quality souvenirs. read more

This is a hipster place that sells coffee, ice cream and some clothes/accessories. Espresso shots and coffee are so delicious - I haven't tried there ice cream yet but the day will come because it looks great. I bought a pair of super funky sunglasses here $48.00 - kind of steep but at the time was worth it. Kind of a bummer the glasses ended up shutting kind of funny and the frame bent very easily so they aren't nice looking anymore. Cool place to check out - good customer service. read more

The quality of the shirts is surprisingly low for a t-shirt company and the screen printing on about half of the items in our order was off/missing in some places. I'm glad we checked before giving away the shirts at our event! We decided to go with another friendly, local retailer for our t shirt order (same pricing) and are much happier with the product and to be supporting a company that puts more care and sincerity into their business. read more

I came across this store by accident while on my way to Golden Gate Park and went there twice while in San Fran. It's a great little store with cool original designs and I bought my husband and I both a shirt and shot glass which became immediate favourites. Also while there the second time, the employee Luis who was helping me, went out of his way to help me out when I was in a pinch and had forgotten to print out my flight itinerary for later that night. I take all my out of town guests here for unique one-of-a-kind San Francisco gifts. The clothing is hand-screen printed on site and there is a great pie shop/coffee bar inside. The store also has many events they host like film/movie pairings and quarterly comedy shows featuring up and coming local comedians.
