I had the chance to visit Grain and Berry and i must say i was surprised on how good the service was. I had heard that the customer service was not good here but i have to say i was impressed with the service, friendliness and professionalism from Mike and Noemi ( i hope i am spelling it correctly ) From the moment i went in with my girlfriend, they were engaging and super friendly with us. They took the time to explain the menu and even offered some good suggestions that we might have never tried. The order came out fast and of course we said our goodbyes. We felt like we were super welcomed And loved the food. I had also misplaced my phone and remembered I had left it at the establishment. As soon as i called Michael and noemi were already on top of things. They had my phone in a closed bag. Thank you for that!!!! And they even remember me from before. Super grateful for them. I wanted to give this location another chance after some of the serious issues I experienced during its early days, including poor food handling practices, foreign objects found in food, and unprofessional interactions with staff. Since the restaurant has been reopened for a while, I hoped things had improved. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience. On my recent visit, the employees were again unfriendly, and the store manager spent the visit sitting on a couch scrolling on his phone instead of engaging with the restaurant. What made me the most uncomfortable was noticing him appear to take a photo of me while remaining seated. It left me feeling uneasy. It's disappointing because I've had great experiences at other locations, so I know what this brand is capable of. Grain and Berry was super clean inside and had so many options for healthy food like yogurt bowls, açaí, quesadillas, flatbreads, toasts, smoothies, and juices. The menu was really customizable, which I loved. I got a quesadilla with vegan mozzarella and a broccoli crust (never seen that before!) and it came out hot and fresh. The cheese was super melty with a good pull, and the plant-based sausage was actually really good. They gave four big pieces, and I could barely finish it. The crust was more like a flatbread, really crunchy and seasoned well. Prices were reasonable too and service was quick. Grand opening! This location of Grain and Berry is nestled in the I Drive tourist district, walkable from nearby attractions and with a huge parking lot in the back for ease. The dining room is nicely sized with comfortable tables of all sizes and patio tables facing I Drive and down a quieter alleyway if you are looking to take in the Florida sun and get away from the business of the street. I tried the Let's Go Pesto flatbread (plant based chicken, pesto spread, tomatoes, mozzarella and feta and balsamic glaze on cauliflower crust) and the Go Fig or Go Home flatbread (Apple, Brie, fig spread, arugula, olive oil and balsamic glaze) today, both with rich flavors and all vegetarian ingredients. Excited to come back and try the superfood bowls with açaí or spirulina - others at my table looked beautiful and delicious! I loved seeing fruit being freshly cut on the bar - this is a nice add to this area for healthy options! The team was friendly and helpful today, and assisted my friend to navigate the menu with her dietary restrictions. This is a concern that affects the overall Grain and Berry chain, but I was a bit disappointed by the size of the flatbreads for the price - it is assembled on what appears to be half of an 8" flatbread round and then cut to 4 wedges. It would be really nice for a $14 price point to get a full personal size flatbread rather than what felt appetizer sized to me. Just for your awareness when you go in! Got an açaí bowl here and the açaí was completely frozen solid. I couldn't even dig into it with the plastic spoon they give me. 1-Star Review: Felt Scammed Out of the Grand Opening "Free Bowl for a Year" Promotion I was one of the first 100 customers at the grand opening and was promised one free bowl every month on the 23rd as part of the "Free Bowl for a Year" promotion. On opening day, we were told to scan a QR code and update the app to activate the promotion. The first month, the app had issues when I tried to redeem my reward. I called the store and was told they were aware of the app problem and that I could just come in and give my phone number. The following month, the exact same issue happened again. I even checked with relatives who were also among the first 100 customers -- they had the same problem. Then, this month (the 24th), I checked the app expecting to see my free bowl reward, but it was completely gone. The loyalty offer for the free bowl had been removed from the app entirely. I checked with others who were part of this promotion, and every single one of them had their reward taken away too. It's frustrating that instead of fixing the app issues, the company simply removed the offer altogether, with no notice, no accountability, and no solution for loyal customers who followed the rules from day one. This feels like a bait-and-switch -- they got the grand opening hype, people waited in line, and now the promised reward is gone. so I ve got in to place and there were only two girls .they didn't even look at me to get my order around couple minutes then one of em was a new worker she didnt what to do another young lady I ve ordered order was very simple only 2 items then ive been waiting easy 45 minutes to get simple food even if there wasnt even busy I am regretting to tip them on the front because system wants to pay you on the front and bread was sour didnt even cook she literally give me cold items after 45 minutes wait so far the worst juice place that ive ever been never again read more
