Instead, they are 1-2 tones lighter/off-tone (I am a fashion designer, so I know about my colors). It is so ridiculous that this is known to them, that their Sales Associates are instructed to tell the customers that this is the case!! They shouldn't sell that paint! But BEFORE I understood this, when after buying the darkest Grey color they had (2129-20), and getting home to find out it looked much lighter than the color chip, I decided to try again and went back to buy BLACK instead. My 2nd sales guy simply said to me "Why don't you just buy the Black from the shelf?" (He also said they were the same price...). So I said, thinking he was just trying to make it easier on himself since it was end of day, "No, I just want you to mix my designer Black paint (2132-10)". He never explained that the paint colors wouldn't match... I went home to find out their BLACK paint looks Dk NAVY!!! To make things worse, after wasting $50 for the 2 cans of paint and a frustrated weekend trying to paint my little bookcase, I went back to their store to explain what had happened. I didn't even expect a refund, just a simple aknowledgement. BUT I guess, at Scheman's hardware store, the customer is never right. The manager didn't even want to hear my version of the story. Instead, he believed (wrongly) what his sales associate said... (He of course said he told me that the paint colors were not going to match the color chips). This happened 2 wks ago, and I still have that icky feeling of having been really wronged... Again, writing this review just hoping this doesn't happen to anyone else! Silvia P.

The remaining packaging clearly showed both Eppy's return address and my shipping address. I emailed the sales address listed on the company's website along with photos and received no response. After several weeks, I called and was given two additional email addresses to contact. I sent the requested information to both addresses and again received no response. After another week, I sent a follow-up email. Once again, no reply. At this point, the missing item is no longer the issue. Shipping problems happen, and I understand that. My problem is the complete lack of customer service and communication. Over the course of several weeks, multiple emails, and a phone call, I could not get anyone to acknowledge the problem or respond in any way. The value of the item is insignificant compared to the amount of time wasted trying to get a simple response. Today 5/29/26 after posting review, I started getting communications. After several back and forth emails we determined what the item was. It was ordered on 3/11/26 and was lost in USPS land for two months before I received the letter saying contents lost in shipping and not delivered. Once started getting communication back and forth, we identified the item that was shipped and things worked as they should.

Usually you'd get the "I don't know you'll have to bring it in, we're busy". But John literally solved my problem over the phone with his knowledge of the situation and willingness to help. Support local businesses! First purchase was paint for my bedroom. They have color samples right when you walk in door. And after you choose your preferred color card. Go to counter, there is usually a line. Counter guys are really knowledgeable and helpful. Just don't be an ass! Store is full of everything for your house and home. Anyway counter guy got the right tint base and mixed color into base. The paint they carry is Valspar. Haven't painted yet lol. Price for 1 gallon tinted was approx $55. Oh btw before purchasing I checked prices. And was reasonable compared to online costs. Online doesn't offer 100s of color choices. Recently needed some touch up paint for my parents home. And can was 31.5 oz at $20 with tinted base. Will be using this store for all my basic home needs. The store is open Monday to Saturday 7 AM to 5 PM.

Even if they had it nobody at Home Depot would bother to check. I called on the phone and the person who answered was very helpful and polite. I explained the part and he said he thought he had it. When I came to the store and showed the washer. He asked if I called on the telephone and I said yes. His name was Ray and it took him all of 1 minute and he came back with the correct washer. When I asked how much it was he said $1. I was a little embarrassed as I ran out of the house without any money so I asked if I could use my credit card. He smiled and said don't worry about it! That's so rare today and I said I will be back for other things and will give him the $1 as a matter of principle. It so happens I went to a bakery across the street that only took cash so I went to an ATM, made a withdrawal and stopped back to pay Ray. He also helped me with a kitchen cabinet hinge which I was surprised that they had. The store is large, carries a great selection of plumbing supplies, including, toilets, tile, faucets and just about everything you can think of. I read the one other review on the business and was surprised Richard gave them only 3 stars which may have been because of the news network they play. REALLY?? Everyone spoke perfect English, was welcoming, friendly and eager to help. The price look good and high would highly recommend them for your plumbing needs. I will definitely be back.
