I called American Eagle because the rollers had fallen off my garage door. They had been over to…read moreservice the door about two years previously. Instead of checking out everything it turned out a cable was loose. They had installed incorrectly two different sizes of springs, there had been a gap under one side of the door, so no adjustments were made. The door is still slammed heavily when it closed. But the serviceman said that was fine. I asked if any more oil should be used. He said oh yes, you should use lithium grease once a year. The garage door persisted slamming, so anticipating more breakage I called another service. This fellow said the springs were completely working on very bare tread and needed to be readjusted so he had to move the pole to fix the springs accordingly, replace broken brackets because of the slamming, re-oil certain places and use exactly the right oil in the right places because there were three different kinds of oil that should be used. Additionally, this second serviceman cleaned parts of it because they were super gunked up. I mean, massively, unbelievably corroded and gunked over - due to not being cleaned - maybe not ever. Who knew? Apparently, this had been overlooked by American Eagle.
