Bring a cooler bag with you for the frozen prepared food you'll pick up for the week! Bring something to bring the flowers home in if you're traveling a ways!

Don't be deceived by its size: this is a farmer's market - the size that of a small dog, say,…read moreChihuahua - that boldly exists and has been serving the community in a relatively small section of the city of Aurora since 2020 (hopefully I'm right on this.) The fact that I didn't know it has existed until a few weeks ago is something I need to fathom. Whatever the case may be, I got to know it is the most important thing. According to its website, its motto appears right on the front page: "Feeding our community one garden at a time". This concept resonates with me so much. I get the impression that they don't care about the size of the market, they simply focus on the quality by providing nutrients that are largely lacking in our human lives because what they focus on is "contamination free". On a hot summer day in mid June, I was at the former location of its market (I think they had just announce that they are moving its location to Aurora Town Center which is still well within my reach) with my umbrella over me to avoid the strong sun. Coffee vendors to produce vendors to a bakery to a holistic vendor with a chair massage, there are about 10 to no more than 15 vendors lined up to welcome like-minded visitors who are looking for some rare finds. Each tent welcomed me with open arms. Yes, everyone is welcome. I sampled a morsel of a jalapeno cheddar sourdough bread at a 5260 Bread Co and this was one of the best breads I have ever tasted might not be an exaggerated statement. Genese with Gifted Touch gave me one of the most relaxing massages which put me to half sleep. But most of all, Anisha's Farms impressed me the most out of all. Anisha grows vegetables in her (backyard?) garden. Using those veggies with no contaminants, she makes jars of what's somewhat considered a "salsa" called "chow chow". But it's more than the regular salsa. It's fermented that gives all sorts of nutrients. In a way, this is a wellness product you can incorporate into your daily meal routine. I got me the medium spicy which isn't spicy at all (I'm saying this from the standpoint of someone who is not big on spicy hot stuff.) I put this one on egg white omelet or sauteed spinach or even cold tofu to eat it in the morning. This absolutely enhances my morning meal each day which I even look forward to it the night before about dreaming about consuming Anisha's magical concoction. I feel like my body is cleansed from deep within.I cannot wait to go back and buy more of those. Next time, I am determined to buy a loaf of the jalapeno cheddar sourdough from the bread company (makes my mouth water by imagining it.) Thanks Rebel Market, for becoming part of my community in the southeastern Denver metro area. You'll have my utmost respect and support going forward. I will see you at the new location in a week or so!

So in seeing a new market pop up smack dab in…read morethe middle of the DTC (and my former neighborhood) I had to check it out! ++ Located in Belleview Station, you'd assume parking is a nightmare. WRONG. With plenty of street parking and designated lots, parking is ample! We snagged a spot about a block away and got a nice walk in. ++ The market occurs each Sunday from 9AM - 1PM! But I assure you, things sell out fast so the earlier, the better! ++The market is small but has just the right amount of booths, which range from fresh produce, and locally baked goods to flowers, plants, fresh brewed coffee and cute clothes. I easily walked away with plenty of everything for the week! ++ Pricing depends of the goods depend on the booth but are overall reasonable! ++ Each vendor was so friendly were knowledgeable about their products and , offered samples of anything we wanted to try before buying! ++ Live music filled the area, as a pit stop for The Big Wonderful - which created the most fun and inviting atmosphere! This quaint market will quickly become one of my favorites - so take a look!

And it's no secret, either, as it was very busy the Saturday we visited. We arrived early to beat the heat and actually got free street parking, which was a nice bonus. I had a delicious masala dosa at Chaatwalla for breakfast, and my husband went for the breakfast crepe at Savory Saigon Express and said it was delicious. We bought some local honey, some delicious protein bars and a nice haul of produce. I'll definitely be going regularly during the season.

I have largely been disappointed with other Denver area farmers markets because they allow vegetable/fruit vendors to resell items from California and other places. Not here. There were so many small organic vegetable and fruit stands with heirloom varieties. This is the time for fall apples and all the ones we purchased were delicious. Go early as the lines grow on the popular bakeries and vendors. Parking is always at a premium here.

This one was in the parking lot closest to Macy's. It wasn't too big, but they had a nice variety of vendors, with food, crafts, plants, and artisan goods. That had a live band playing some chill tunes too which was nice. Absolutely loved the fresh baked bagel spot called Springs, they had this scallion olive oil cream cheese that was delish, and had their toaster on site to prep everything right there. Shame they don't have a brick and mortar location - they said they pop up at a lot of these markets on weekends and do catering (wonder what they do in the winter?) Also was tempted to get some permanent jewelry, there was at least 3-4 vendors offering these. Maybe next time! Had such a nice time here but it's very hot and the only shade are a few tables with umbrellas for eating that were mostly taken. Stay hydrated!

You may even get to see the farm doggo if you're lucky! If you are like me and enjoy finding unique fruits and veggies that you don't see in any grocery store or even at your summer farmer's markets, this is the place for you! The drive is a quick one from Denver and once you are there on the farm, you kind of forget where you are! The store will take you back in time with it's simple set up with vintage coolers that store all of those beautiful veggies, and old tables stacked with baskets filled with even more veggies and fruits. There are heirloom options and the choices vary throughout the season as new things come in. On one of my visits this past summer, I picked up a huge bunch of home-grown Edamame that was far better than anything I have gotten anywhere else. It was actually quite fun to remove them from the stems to wash and cook up. I also was able to find beautiful Italian green beans - my absolute favorite and never-able-to-find option. The tomatoes are always a go-to and are so flavorful. I found out how the heirloom options are grown in the greenhouse and how that has provided the sweetest results and can confirm, they are very sweet and delicious. Along with the veggies and fruits, you will also find some locally made goodies sold in a brown paper bag that are a great treat to take for the ride home. Also, don't miss the dried pepper selection! There is also a cooler/freezer with meats and fresh eggs. When I was there, it was golden raspberry picking time and there were many families out for the tractor ride to the bushes to pick their own. Be sure to check out their website for hours - the opening is limited and you want to avoid making a trip unnecessarily and you can find out about special events, picking times for the fruits, cakes, and flowers and CSA share options. Claudia and Tim operate a farm that is certified organic and you can be sure their offerings are truly fresh, truly local, and truly organic as their motto says.
