I was out in Aurora and thought I would check this place out! I know they have awesome events in…read morethe fall and I didn't get to go last fall, but I hope to get there this fall! The place is MASSIVE!! Lots going on everywhere. TONS of plants and there are even random fake plants which was funny to me for some reason! Basically now I know where I can get a replacement plant for whatever plant just died in my apartment! They have a wide and abundant variety of indoor and outdoor plants! They also have a boutique selection of retail merch which was interesting to browse and it also seemed like there was a farmers market and freezer section! It's a great place to go if you need a floral break and need to immerse yourself in colorful petals and greenery! The staff was super friendly and I really loved seeing so many plants that I had really never seen before! The giant cacti were also really cool - something I would save my pennies for! Seems like a great place to pick up a hostess gift too!

I visited Nick's Garden Center this past Sunday for what should have been a simple trip -- I needed…read moresome mulch and a few flowers for my front doorstep. Unfortunately, the experience left me genuinely disappointed. I understand this is a large garden center and the staff fields a lot of questions daily, but that's no excuse for the treatment I received. When I asked for help, I was met with eye rolls, dismissive attitudes, and responses that felt rushed and unhelpful. The rudeness was hard to miss and made what should have been an enjoyable Sunday errand feel like an ordeal. I want to support local businesses, and I had high hopes for this place given its reputation. But basic customer respect shouldn't be too much to ask. I left feeling unwelcome and honestly a bit deflated. I hope management takes staff attitude seriously -- it can make or break a customer's experience.

Life, Love and the pursuit of the best cheese curds in town! Always a worthy mission…read more That's been my motto as of late so each time I venture to the farmers market, I MUST stop at Cream City Market to get my cheese curd fix. Thankfully this Wisconsin owned and operated biz brings their A game with multiple stands at multiple different farmers markets which is the icing on the cake. Recently spotted at South Pearl Farmers Market, my husband and I stopped in to grab a bag of our favorite - white cheddar cheese curds and they are seriously CHEFS KISS. Insanely fresh (imported from the Dairy Land daily), lump, perfectly squeaky, and oh so delicious! Each person behind the booth I've interacted with is always friendly, boasts a cute little Wisconsin accent, is well versed on their menu items and even provides samples! ...also noteworthy - their butters. Ranging from savory to sweet (garlic & herb, strawberry, sea salt.... You get the picture) the butter is hands down the best. We opted for the Cinnamon honey butter, which although not creamy, is super delicious and the perfect sweet treat! Even better - they are only $7! I love shopping local and will continue to support this shop because they are the best! #thecurdslifechoseme
