Dalgona Coffee from Green Bus Cafe; absolutely delicious!!
    Rika M.

South Pearl Farmers Market is a great way to find wholesome products which each vendor took the time to carefully select the best items for us the people in the community! I've been a long-time resident of Denver but until today, I really hadn't appreciated this great street fair. The weather was gorgeous in its upper 70 degrees; we met all kinds of like-minded people with their furry friends strolling up and down the street. The street was like that of the Bourbon Street in New Orlean during Mardi Gras (ha ha, that's a little exaggerated!) It's not just the vendors in tents; those brick-and-mortar shops/restaurants on both sides of Pearl Street collaborate with the tented vendors in unison; they nicely create this atmosphere where everyone feels welcomed as valued customers. It was almost impossible to visit every single vendor to taste their free samples. And to pick just one vendor out of many for lunch was a decision of a lifetime as there are so many food options. But I can mention a few to several names of businesses that stood out the most: -Green Bus Cafe: The must have beverage from this shop is definitely the "Dalgona Coffee (if you are a coffee drinker.) This is a freeze-dried coffee with coconut sugar that's whipped to perfection. The coconut sugar is low glycemic. The sweetness is not too much (I'm not into sweet coffee at all but this coffee's sweetness is quite subtle so someone like me can easily enjoy this lightly sweet iced coffee.) -Little House of Tempeh: Tempeh has been a stable in my daily diet for years. This shop creates soy free, fermented, and unpasteurized tempeh. It even contains probiotic + prebiotic and is minimally processed using only three ingredients. Their products cannot be more authentic and healthier than what they claim. It's so nice to know what you'll intake into your body. I got the sunflower tempeh which was only $8 and is a good portion. -Original by Greek: We had a pork gyro pita with some fries, tomatoes, onion and tzatziki sauce in it for lunch. At the price of $11.95, the portion was a good size and filled our stomachs so quickly. The meat was impeccably cooked to perfection. Well, after lunch, we had to walk around again to ensure we didn't miss anything. And we didn't. But the fact that we simply couldn't look at each vendor carefully during a quick 2-hour stroll, we made a decision to come back here once more in June. Today became one of the best Sundays in a while.

So I am a Farmers Market Slut. I have been to them all over the world ( Scotland, England, France, US, Japan...yatta yatta). And While South Pearl is not the most amazing Farmers Market it is pretty cool and unique. Great location. Who doesnt like this area??? Three blocks of unique foods and services. Produce is limited: I come from San Francisco where the farmer's markets have insanely good produce and meats. Great products to purchase: Loved the Salsas, popcorns, and sausages I purchased. It aint cheap but what is after printing 10 Trillion benjamins?

The Sunday morning farmers market is great - Block and blocks of vendors. I brought my dog and he also enjoyed a pup cup while I enjoyed a Dalgona latte. Parking is hard to find so you have to drive around the neighborhood.

I have a new favorite Denver farmers market option, as this Sunday gathering is such a fun experience in a great neighborhood. Waited in line for a little bit as the market officials regulate entries, but I was okay with that after more than a year of the pandemic. There is no entry fee, and both strollers and dogs are welcome. An interesting array of vendors from all different concepts, and their food options rock. I mean, really rock. My favorite was the great offerings from M Patio Latin Cuisine, where I thoroughly enjoyed their Colombian Tamales, an amazing food item that reminded me of a trip to Cartahenga years ago.

"Nice cream" was a healthy morning snack!

What an incredible farmers market! While my two older kiddos were busy at an activity, I looked for something fun to do with my littlest one. He loves farmers markets and I told him we'd go explore a new one. He was so enthralled with everything at the market that he actually stayed in his stroller while I shopped! We both loved tasting things along the way and found through the sampling at least a dozen new things we just had to buy. The live music and food trucks were a perfect snack stop (mmmm "nice cream"!) and Racyne Parker, the musician, has an absolutely lovely voice. Despite being farther from our house than other markets, we will be back here on a regular basis!

Not sure if I found the correct farmers market - I heard this one would be the biggest in Denver…read more We landed at the Cherry Creek fresh market, which I thought was the same, but maybe it wasn't ? This one was in the parking lot closest to Macy's. It wasn't too big, but they had a nice variety of vendors, with food, crafts, plants, and artisan goods. That had a live band playing some chill tunes too which was nice. Absolutely loved the fresh baked bagel spot called Springs, they had this scallion olive oil cream cheese that was delish, and had their toaster on site to prep everything right there. Shame they don't have a brick and mortar location - they said they pop up at a lot of these markets on weekends and do catering (wonder what they do in the winter?) Also was tempted to get some permanent jewelry, there was at least 3-4 vendors offering these. Maybe next time! Had such a nice time here but it's very hot and the only shade are a few tables with umbrellas for eating that were mostly taken. Stay hydrated!

Sure it's located in a shopping mall parking lot and sure it is somewhat limited in it's selection but there are some good vendors there. Loved the Tamale lady, good produce, great pastry vendor too. I wouldn't drive out of my way to visit but if you happen to be in the neighborhood check it out.

I never knew Hubs like Tamales, until he confessed! So when we were at the Calvary Temple Farmers…read moreMarket that faithful Saturday July 13th 2013, when we saw the vendor which sells Colombian Tamales, Hubs was "giggling" like a kid with joy! We had the food samples, which are piping hot from the flat-top portable stove. The lovely couple who handle this stall, were indeed inviting and friendly. If I am not mistaken the lady who handle this stall, her name is Judy Gilchrist. I told her, we will come back once we are done at the rest of the vendors to purchase Tamales which Hubs was interested in. Since we need to be going somewhere else that afternoon, we opt to have the Frozen Tamales instead. We opt to purchase : * 3 Beans Tamales ($5) each hence it was $15 * 3 Chicken Tamales ($6) each hence it was $18 Total damage just for Frozen Tamales were $33. With that purchase Judy offered us a free chipotle sauce, that she also made from scratch. It was not as spicy as we want it to be. When we came back home Hubs had those Frozen Tamales for Dinner that last us for 2 weeks consumption. Hubs said the Tamales are good, huge portions, though he wish it could be cheaper than he used to back in Cali. With our purchase of Tamales it comes with Instructions too. Tamale Reheating Instructions : * Microwave Defrosted Tamale Take foil off, wrap it with a wet paper towel or wax paper, leave it in the microwave for 8 to 10 minutes. * Stove Top For Frozen Tamale Leave foil on, cover tamale about 3 inches of water, boil for 25 to 30 minutes on Medium heat. * Stove Top For Defrosted Tamale Leave foil on, cover tamale about 2 inches of water, boil for 10 - 15 minutes heat The beans tamales, comes with black beans, green beans and other spices. While the Chicken Tamales comes with beans, corns and huge chunks of chicken cuts and spices. All in all Hubs like these Colombian Tamales and he does not mind returning to Judy G's to purchase them. Not only Judy sells Colombian tamales and chipotle sauce, she also sells chimichurri and pupusas at her stall. @164/2013
