I found a bit of star anise in mine which just proves the sauces are home-made and not dumped out of a jar (like some places do). The rice was sprinkled with black sesame seeds just for that added extra, and the naan was hot and soft. The atmosphere was...odd. No music at all, which made it feel awkward. Boxes and storage and piles of supplies crowded the dining room and plenty of Christmas decorations were still up (we visited in March mind you). The restroom was clean and decorated for spring with an exorbitant quantity of silk flower arrangements on the counter. They were out of chai Masala, so I'd ordered something called "rose milk" which I never did receive but at least I wasn't charged for it. Again, the language gap proved to be a real thing to contend with. By the time we left around 8:20 the place was empty, but then it was a Thursday night. The food was worth putting up with the rest of it, and looking forward to dining there again.
