Tried the weekend buffet and was really impressed! We were greeted and seated quickly and warmly. Their space has a lot of natural light and felt spacious. Once seated we were off to fill our plates. They have an impressive amount of choices from cold salads to hot tandoori items. The standouts for me were the chicken biryani, the goat curry, and the desserts! I don't know all their names but I loved them all! It's nice they also include mango lassi and chai as drink options. Overall it was a very nicey curated buffet. Pretty good Indian food with lots of vegan options, but I went here once a couple years ago and I think they gave me food with dairy in it for some reason even though I was told it was vegan and one of the menus said it was vegan, so I have to take a star off. I have found that if I order the vegan Aloo Gobi I never seem to taste dairy, so as a vegan I get that every time. read more

I came with my family while staying in Grand Rapids. We all enjoyed the food overall. The dahi puri was good; however, I did not like the papdi chaat as much. I thought the papdi (fried dough pieces) were a bit big and the actual potato, chickpea amount was less. Everything was nice and warm and we received quick and friendly service. The chili chicken was my favorite, but no rice came with the dish. The goat rogan josh was nice, had bones in it (which was mentioned by the server, vs lamb which is boneless). Even though, rice is accompanied by each entree order, it came in one serving bowl for the entire group. Unsure if it would cost more to also for more. This is my favorite Indian restaurant in town by far. I absolutely love Indian food. The food is extremely authentic and full of flavor. I wish it wasn't a half hour a way from where I live but I make the drive because it's absolutely excellent. If you need a nice cozy meal that's good for the soul, come check this place out. I come up to Grand Rapids for business a few times a year and this place is always a great stop. The inside is nice and big with lots of room. The service is always top tier. They are prompt, friendly, and attentive to when you might need something like a refill. The tikka masala is so flavorful and the chicken is very tender. The garlic naan is fire. I've had the veggie samosas which were delicious and I recently tried the paneer pakora which is like a little fritter and I would get definitely get again. Having traveled in India and lived 20+ years in NYC, frequenting Indian restaurants of every price point, I have never had better food than here. Do not come for ambiance (think Diner). No liquor license! Service is family, very friendly/nice but not professional. But the food is heaven. Dahl Poori is a summer must. They were very busy and it was somewhat chaotic in the restaurant. We ordered a variety of things to share which included Onion Pakora, Lamb Curry, Butter Chicken, Chana masala, and Garlic Naan. We enjoyed everything we ordered but we could have ordered another order of Naan bread. We appreciate the large portion of rice with each entree as well, we had plenty of rice, even to go with our leftovers. Overall, we enjoyed everything we ordered. We've been going to the grocery store for special items for a few years, they have all kinds of awesome things! We finally got to try their food and it was amazing! One of, if not the best Indian food we've had in Grand Rapids! We ordered a bunch of things. Started with paneer pakoras and veggie Samosas. Both delicious! The sauces with the paneer were so good! We had the garlic naan and onion kulcha. The fluffiest naan I've had, the kulcha definitely had some spicy chiles. We shared the butter chicken and chicken tikka. The chicken tikka comes with the chicken itself separate from the sauce and you get to choose your sauce. I loved how I could really taste the spice on the chicken tikka this way and it wasn't soaked in sauce. We got the curry sauce with ours. Both dishes were excellent! Chicken was so tender and huge portions! We will absolutely be back and excited to try some more interesting things! read more

Will order for takeout again! Easy to order online through Yelp / GrubHub with an extensive menu. Food was hot and stayed warm. I always get butter chicken and curry goat. Husband gets chicken vindaloo super spicy (he likes things on fire and could have used more spice). Got chicken Biryani for the kids, but was a little spicy. First time trying Samosa Chat and will be ordering again! The picture on the online menu is what got me interested. Instead of samosas topped with stew, it is samosas drowned in stew as shown in the picture, but I still loved it! All the flavors are just like when I add all the chutneys on top of a samosa, but way easier to eat because no knife required! Plain naan from the clay oven was nice and warm in the foil. Went in here 2 weeks ago. All waiters are wearing air pods and have no idea what a customer needs. The table was set for 2, we had 3, and they never brought napkins/plates/silverware for a 3rd person. I had to go up and get them. The Bryani was mixed with curry (not the traditional way of making this dish), and some of the appetizers were cold (the waiter informed us it's because they were served at lunch). It's unacceptable. Absolutely terrible establishment. I would choose another restaurant for your Indian cuisine. The two INDIAN individuals I brought were completely shocked I recommended this place.
