Complimentary papadum with mint and tamarind chutney

This is the best Indian food I've had! I've ordered from here at least 10 times and it never disappoints. The garlic naan is fantastic. The Gobi Manchurian, Malai Kofta, and the Aloo Gobi are my favorites. They also give a good amount of rice with the dishes as well. When I dine it, it's a pleasant experience with good service. Most people would drive right by this unassuming restaurant in the strip mall, but it is my favorite restaurant in Flint!

Naan, Chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken), Dal Makhani, and mini Vegetable Samosa.

Food is very authentic and good tasting. If you decide to visit this restaurant try the lamb biryani and a side of pourri ( fried bread)...

The Chicken Tikka Masala was absolute perfection, velvety, creamy, and hit the perfect spice level. The naan was also excellent, fresh and pillowy. However, I was really disappointed with the Lamb Biryani. The meat was unfortunately dry, extremely fatty, and lacked flavor. I'd previously tried the Butter Chicken, which was decent, so there's definitely potential here if you order the right thing. Pros: Massive parking lot and plenty of indoor seating. They have a buffet! (Didn't realize this until we arrived, but a great perk). Food is well-packaged for takeout. Cons: Service over the phone was a bit "prickly" and felt rushed. Pro Tip: Read the menu on DoorDash before ordering; it actually provides much better descriptions of the dishes than their official website or Toast.

We ordered Paneer Masala, Lamb Curry, naan, and lassi to go. The total came out to just under $60, which I expected to be comparable to other similar places I've tried. I'm from California, so this definitely isn't my first experience with ethnic food. I'm very familiar with these flavors and even cook them myself. Unfortunately, the tadka didn't seem to be cooked long enough because the masala tasted more like Campbell's soup than a traditional curry. We didn't finish the food and ended up ordering from somewhere else. I'm glad I tried it, but personally it wasn't my favorite.

Website Request,…read more Dear Magdy, I am a regular customer at your store on Corunna Road and truly appreciate the quality of your halal meats, international imports, and your B. Haleeb dairy products. I'm writing today because I would love to see your business grow even further, and I think a dedicated website would be a great next step. The physical ambiance is really aesthetic. The store is massive and it I has everything you could look for. In fact, you guys are the only place my father recommends for authentic sesame oil. Many customers in the Flint area look for specialty Egyptian and international groceries online before they visit. A website would make it much easier for us to see your latest inventory, check store hours, and even place advance orders for pickup. I would personally recommend using Shopify or WooCommerce. These are globally recognized leaders in e-commerce that are very user-friendly and would give you full control over your store's digital identity. Please do NOT use Wix as they are Israeli. I believe a digital storefront would bring in many new customers who are searching for the unique products only Sindbad Foods Market provides. Thank you for all you do for our community! Best regards, A loyal customer out of state.

The shawerma plates are really very delicious. The one drawback to them is that the chicken (and maybe the rice) has to be microwaved rather than served fresh. I get it. It's a tiny place that I've always been in entirely alone whenever I go. They don't have the traffic for a fresh spit of meat to shave off. Even so, the food is honestly really good and the price isn't bad at all. You can choose the serving size that is best for you, and the large will feed 2-3 adults or make great leftovers. This was our first visit…read more.. Cutting to the chase: the food was EXCELLENT, exactly what we ordered, and prepared rapidly without sacrificing quality. EAT HERE!!!! When we first walked in we found the dining room unremarkable but spotless. It smelled great, an awesome sign! The server instantly appeared to greet us, tables were shiny and clean. The server was very nice and efficient as he delivered rinks and we ordered the samosas. The samosas were flaky and perfectly prepared and... not that I care but they were also very pretty and masterfully prepared; starchy perfection in a pastry! My chicken tika masala was perfect and just spicy enough to hurt (a little!). I always order ctm when I visit an Indian place for the first time figuring if they can't get this right nothing will be right. To me ctm is the general tso's chicken of India. They were out of lamb so my wife asked the server's recommendation and she went with that. She enjoyed it immensely. Sorry, I forgot what she ordered and I don't have the receipt to check. They offer a nice selection of naan, we went with the Kashmiri 'cuz we've never tried it before. The naan was perfect and the interior was filled with a spicy paste with nuts. Amazing in just about everything: the provided sauces and also my ctm. The basmatti rice was moist and yet flaky and perfect. Absolutely no notes or complaints - an all together fantastic dining experience. The wife and I eagerly look forward to our next visit. EAT HERE, you won't be disappointed.

I ordered the butter chicken and it was delicious. They give you three different spice options - I went for mild, absolutely no spice, however LOTS of flavor. Definitely a great place to try even if you've never had Indian food before!

The freshness of the produce was the first thing I recognized in the buffet. Normally the texture feels off in a buffet but this reminded me of the freshness of my auntie's garden in India. The chickpeas were not over or undercooked (steam cooked?) and the raita was the rich consistency of home, not the quick and watered down version typical in casual fare. I am vegetarian and cannot speak to the meat dishes, but felt like some real heart was behind the cooking. Perhaps the Naan was the only drawback, losing its texture made in bulk perhaps. But the taste relied less on salt and oil and more on the ingredients and a sense of freshness on many items I might serve in my own home. I cook these dishes at home and on a few I felt like asking for some cooking tips.
