Each artist has a shelf or a little area inside the store. There were some beautiful bird baths and garden stuff. My favorite section of the store is the bookshelf in the back on the left that contains those Arcadia history books. Each one is about a certain piece of Cincinnati's history. Some talk about immigrants, others about neighborhoods, and some about families and companies that have flourished here. I like looking through these books as they are fascinating! I ended up purchasing an "I love OTR" sticker for $2 and am very happy and proud to finally own one. The owner is super sweet and is open most of the time but will open up shop if you have the shop's card and will come down and open it up for you!

The first time we visited, the husband was looking for a specific Christian Moerlein beer poster, and the woman working the register was very nice about trying to help us find it. He settled for a different one, but as we walked back down the street, she had found it and even came out calling for us to see if he wanted to swap. So nice! The owner apparently is open to taking calls if you need her to open up shop for something when they are closed. This is a great store to browse on a lazy OTR walking day, or if you are looking for some interesting gifts or jewelry off the beaten path.

It was really cool to read about the owner's past experiences in her father's machine shop that inspired her to take everything on. That being said, I am a sucker for Art Deco/geometric design aesthetic, and Lucca is swimming in zigzags and sunbursts. They have an assortment of laser engraved wooden items - kitchen utensils, cutting boards; a mix of gift items - engraved greeting cards, customizable paper cards; and some really stunning home goods items. Some of my favorites were the engraved furniture - still trying to think of a way to make it work at home. I'm loving the trend of woman-owned businesses popping up in Cincinnati ... especially when they showcase careers in math, science, engineering. I was looking for some theme specific gifts (tennis, pickleball, spa) for birthday presents. The lovely lady working there was helping someone when I arrived but paused to greet me, which was nice. She pointed out a section of the store that I might have missed and pointed out some adorable note cards in my themes. I was so impressed by the amount of merchandise that is made in the USA and I found so many fun things in the themes of the parties. Cocktail napkins, note cards, bath bombs, shower scent items and so many cute baby things. I'll be back for sure, good customer service and lots of quality products made here in the USA. Slightly pricey but fair enough, I was excited to order a mini plank for Christmas. The pick up process is non-existent... I privately messaged the Facebook page to learn the process. AR could definitely upgrade this experience by including pick up instructions in the confirmation email. I was given a list of times I could pick up my order. Waited a few days and headed into the shop... nothing was prepared. I had a very small slice of time to pick up my order and unfortunately it took far too long. I would very highly recommend you call ahead to confirm to your order is in fact ready. Sadly, I was hoping for some cute gift packaging... maybe some tissue paper or literally anything besides just the wood and paints. My piece of plank wood does not sit flat and the handles were different than pictured. Overall, an extremely "meh" experience but the ladies who work there are super nice and that's important.

Personalized signs to decorate your house, pillows, yard signs, etc. Think of all the cutest stuff at Home Goods but with your personal touch. Visit their website to pick a workshop to attend. Each workshop has a selection of projects for you to choose from. You enter your name, year, or whatever personal info they need to set up your project. When you arrive all of your supplies and your stencil is waiting for you. You spend the next couple hours working on your creation with the guidance of the owner or other employees, and at the end you have an awesome new piece of art to take home. I am not at all creative but they make it fool proof! The owner Katie and her mom were running the show the afternoon I attended my first workshop. I was nervous to mess something up, but between them and my friend who had attended a previous workshop I was able to create a personalized sign that will go perfect in my living or dining room. (It definitely helped that I was with someone who knew what they were doing. My only critique is that there were times I had to wait for direction or wasn't super clear what I was doing. If you're more patient than me and not afraid to ask questions though, it's really not an issue.) I can't wait to come back and create something for my daughter's room or gifts for my mom and sister. Everything is so cute and I want to do all the projects! I'll be back! Oh yeah, and it's BYOB. :) My friend and I split of bottle of cider as we worked. Seriously, perfect Saturday!

Rustic meets modern here with the several choices of wooden door signs, bar decor, centerpieces, charging stations, state shaped frames and more. What started as an Etsy shop in 2013 has become a full blown store front with the cutest pieces. I ordered a script name online to be picked up local but they also ship. I scoured the internet for days looking for this specific type of script sign and found Pinecone Home to be the most affordable and with a week turnaround time. The owner even contacted me before she started my piece to recommend going larger since the name was long. She added 5 inches to make it look better AND didn't even charge me for the extra. So awesome. My kiddo and I picked it up exactly a week later and found some cute wooden magnets for $1 in store. They also have a DIY workshop to create your own pieces.
