Last weekend, we were here a reception and a few of tiles on the floor of the large hall on the main level were loose. One tile at the tail end of the buffet line was so bad that when several guests - including me - stepped on it, it would tilt upward and cause you to lose your balance a little. Someone pointed it out to the staff but I don't think they did or could fix it right then and there. I did also notice that some of the table covers were a little dirty. Not what you want to see when you're attending a semi-formal occasion. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect clean/white linens, especially when it's for a special occasion. At the buffet, the only silverware they had out were forks. I know most of the items are easily edible with just a fork but when you have items such as (very) bony goat curry, a knife would help get some of that meat off. I'm sure some folks - especially those with small kids - could have also used a spoon. I'm not trying to nitpick but I found it odd that you can't at least have the option of multiple utensils. I wouldn't rush here for a meal but wouldn't decline coming for another such gathering in the future.

We had approximately 80 people downstairs for a Kiwanis event in a nice size room with another attached area for the cocktail hour. Our Kiwanis Club's were honoring these students for their outstanding achievement in school. With that in mind, we kept the food simple, so they were Quesadillas, Chicken Franchise, Penne à la vodka, and mixed vegetables. Everyone enjoyed all the food. Chicken was tender and tasty, Penne was cooked well with a tasty Vodka sauce and the Chicken Quesadillas were tasty and cooked well. Apparently they do an outstanding job with whatever they serve. The salad and pasta duo was okay but the pasta was more al dente than I like the texture to be. The layout of the reception hall was slightly odd since the couple's table was at the entrance of the reception room facing the DJ booth. The room itself was pretty spacious and it opened up to a patio area where they had desserts and a fire pit to roast marshmallows towards the end of the festivities. The bathrooms were clean and they had some products and toiletries to help freshen up before you return to the reception hall.
