I wandered in because the displays are so cute, I wanted to see all the treasure inside. Every nook and corner is packed with funky, colorful one-of-a-kind furniture and home goods you won't find anywhere else. A lot of the items are hand crafted or hand painted. The vibe is playful, and just whimsical. The store has multiple rooms inside with different themes and colors. One of my favorite parts of the shop is their collection of teapots and tea sets. You can find them all over the store. They have so much personality! It's like each piece has its own little story. Definitely the kind of thing that would instantly become a conversation starter in your home. If you're looking to host a tea party, you must browse this collection. There's also a bit of funky furniture like foot stools and arm chairs that are so playful! If you're looking to add a pop of color to your living room this is the place for you. Especially perfect for Alice in Wonderland themes! Fair warning: the prices are up there. This is definitely more of a "treat yourself" or "special gift" kind of place rather than everyday shopping. However, the over-the-top pricing will have your eyes bulging out of your head quicker than a hard on. What I saw was NOT antiques but mass produced replicas. But again, everything in that store is a replica and not an actual antique, although the name implies otherwise. They offer a huge variety of jewelry and handbags in every color as well. What they fail to offer is a simple hello ; as I was browsing the store for a 1/2 hour not one associate said "Hi" or asked if I needed help (considering that almost every single shelf in the store has a sign stating that you need to ask for assistance if you wish to see an item in that store; you think staff would be more available). I was hoping to find a gift bag or a box at Luster for an upcoming girls' Christmas gift exchange. I already have the gifts but need to package them. Surprisingly, the gift shop had no wrapping paper, boxes, bags, or anything for packaging. I was hoping for some unique designs and high quality. I feel like it would be a nice addition to any gifts purchased here. I also then found out that no other surrounding shops at Van Aken seem to have this based on a quick internet search. From beautiful art to clothing and home decor, for me, this is the pinnacle of a Cleveland themed store. They carry unique themes of local pride amongst the merchandise. For example, as of December 2020 they have a super cute Parks collection portraying nature gems. You can even find coffee, cigars and jewelry. They are always changing their merchandise out and always have sales online and in their immaculately organized store. Seriously, this place just makes me so happy! I'm always drawn to their art though, which is modern, sleek and makes reference to Cleveland history. As a boater, I've loved buying different nautical themed items here.
