Not a fan of their hours but so happy to have finally made it here! This place definitely qualifies as a hidden gem or a less-traveled CLE shop. I could easily spend hours here, and did, last Sunday! What gorgeous decor, layout, vibes and selection they have! Workers were really friendly as well. The prices of books were high though--no discount at all for new books. Fine to support local but this is why the library will still always be my favorite. What I was confused about is how the books are organized because it is not by author nor by used/new. I'm pretty sure new books were placed right next to pre-owned ones on the same shelf... I did enjoy all the gift and merchandise displays. They were all set up in a way that looked irresistible to buy! My BF bought this photography coffee table book he was really excited about and I got a children's novel illustrated by Jon Klassen (big fans!). read more

Whether you are a book lover or not, there's something for everyone in this wonderful place. Today was my first time stopping in, and I enjoyed myself so much looking around at all of the books, trinkets and little doodads. The people working there were very knowledgeable and friendly. The book collection alone is incredible. There is multiple room rooms and the sanctuary holds very old and important books and is definitely interesting to look around in. Loganberry Books is a gem. It is cavernous! You could spent an entire day roaming around looking at books. Just when you think there isn't more to see there is another room. It was busy on a Saturday afternoon and we really enjoyed strolling around looking at books. Loganberry also has a bookbinder on staff to make repairs to books. I did see a litter box, so i assume there was a cat roaming around somewhere. If you love bookstores this is the place for you! read more

Other than the Book Loft in Columbus, this is probably the largest indie book store I have been to! While large, it's super cozy! There are multiple rooms which each have a different theme or genre. There is even a rare book room which was super neat to look around in! The store is overflowing with just about any book you could want, both new and used. I can't wait to go back! read more

This place really reminded me of how magical bookstores and books are. Although I am from the area, I've never been inside Loganberry and was so happy that I stopped in. The space is much bigger than I would have originally expected. They have over 100,000 titles. The owner is a lover of children's books, which you can tell because the children's section is pretty robust. They even have a roped off area in the back called the "Sanctuary" that has first copies, rare books, and special editions. It's pretty amazing to see. They also have a lot of great greeting cards that are reasonably priced. I got two cards and two books for $38. There's great natural light from the large skylight up front. There's also great little reading nooks. I spent way more time here than I originally planned but I'm so happy I did. This is the perfect place to get lost. read more

We were visiting family in Cleveland and my younger brother wanted to check out Loganberry Books after finding them on Yelp. I was a bit skeptical, since we were supposed to be spending time together and I felt like browsing separately in a bookstore wasn't the best way to do that. Nonetheless, we ended up stopping by and found street parking right out front. The mural on the side of the building and the colorful facade welcomed us in and any doubts I had about making this a stop on our trip vanished the moment we stepped inside. What a treasure! There was so much to look at and the shelves were organized in such a welcoming and immersive way. We could have easily spent hours or even a whole day here. I walked through the gallery to the fiction section. I tend to lean towards fiction, adventure and fantasy. Immediately a book on display caught my attention "The Cleveland Heights LGBTQ Sci-Fi + Fantasy Role Playing Club" bty Doug Henderson was too localized not to pick up. As someone who grew up in the area, but moved away and just recently got into D&D I was all about it. I read the first chapter in the store and bought it to read on my flight home. As we were checking out we struck up a conversation with the staff and they told us about some more books with settings in the local area. My brother bought the first of a trilogy set in the Chagrin falls area and we're going to swap books when we finish them. Next visit we're absolutely going to have to spend more time here, it was so much fun, there were so many treasures and the prices were really fair as well. read more

This was the most fantastic book store I've ever been to! The storefront is unassuming, but once inside it's a beautiful sight of wall to wall and floor to ceiling books in multiple rooms. There is everything from vintage books to modern publications and has every genre you can imagine. I wish we lived closer because I could definitely see us getting lost in here regularly. Oh Loganberry Books, how do I love thee. Was in town for a concert and stumbled across this store, WOW. You walk in and firsts thing you see if this amazing bookshelf along the wall up front. Stunning build, I had to stop, admire and envy. A nice staff member gave me the history on this piece and the house it came out of, made me envy its presence and love it more. This store is very well organized and the layout of easy to navigate. The staff are super friendly and helpful and right there when you need guidance or assistance. Prices, super fair. This book store was beautiful. There were so many different rooms that held different genres which made it impossible to only buy one book. All of the staff there were so nice and helpful. They let my friends and I walk around and didn't ask too many questions. The prices were super similar to those at Barnes and Noble, but I enjoyed it more for the experience. read more

From the funky outdoor aesthetic to the indoor floor to ceiling room after room filled with book, I was in heaven! The front of the store is sectioned off with many new and used books about every topic you can think of. The rate book selection was just amazing. I spent so much time just looking at all the titles and collections dreaming of having them on my bookshelves at home. Staff was present in every section to help with your hunt. All books were intermingled new and used keeping you in one are searching alphabetically for what your looking for. I make a point to find a bookstore wherever I am traveling. This isn't always possible, but Cleveland has definitely done me right. I happened to find Loganberry books on my way back from Woodmere, and I couldn't be more pleased with this discovery. The store seems to go back forever, filled floor to ceiling with books organized by content type. The general fiction room is massive. The shop also had an assortment of small gift store type items, greeting cards, etc. I was in just before closing, so it was pretty quiet, which I appreciated. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. While I went in with a couple particular books in mind, I walked out with something completely different. I could have browsed for hours. I ADORE this bookstore. Everything about it is immaculate and I cannot get enough!! The storefront looks small and unassuming but once you go inside, the place opens up to reveal multiple rooms with shelves upon shelves of books. They have a bright sky-lighted center, a sanctuary for antique books, an annex for author events, adorable stuffies decorating the store, an annex gallery featuring local artists and of course books of all topics sprinkled with recommendations by the reliable staff. There's a book for anyone you can think of here! Some other unique things I loved about this bookstore is that they have a kitty (Otis) and also a wordle area that was so much fun. I won a cookie and it made my entire day aggg so precious!! Additionally if you go make a purchase without a bag they donate a dollar to charity :') I don't think I could love this store more than I already do so I'd recommend this to anyone who loves books to visit! read more

This place is great - like a free museum! Nice creative decorating, rack after rack of types of greeting cards, even one of the Little Golden Books from your (my) childhood. A staff member was kind enough to say we could ask her if we needed anything. But it was extremely dusty, even through my mask and I realized I couldn't stay and had to leave. Also, it is for the most part used books, which I didn't realize. The selection in the sections I'm interested in were pretty sparse. read more

Stumbled across this place by accident while I was on Larchmere and stopped inside since I had some time to kill that afternoon. It's been ages since I've actually been to a brick-and-mortar bookstore, but Loganberry brought back that magical feeling of getting lost in the shelves and being enveloped in that irreplaceable old book smell. At first glance, it seems like a tiny hole-in-the-wall shop but upon venturing inside, you quickly realize how large the place actually is. Despite being an independent bookstore, there is an incredibly expansive selection of new and used books and though they don't have an e-catalog of their inventory, the employees are more than happy to help you hunt down whatever title you're searching for! Plenty of cozy couches and armchairs to read in scattered all over the store, and they even have those classic sliding wooden ladders to help you reach top shelves, straight out of Beauty and the Beast. Hidden away at the back of the store is a room called The Sanctuary, which houses all sorts of antique books behind glass doors. It almost feels like a museum, with first-edition picture books, out-of-print titles and a variety of other rare collector's editions from ceiling to floor. There's also a very complete collection of children's books with all of my classic childhood favorites, along with obscure titles that I would never have expected to find in a "small" indie bookstore like this! I feel like this needs to be listed as one of Cleveland's must-check out tourist spots, like West Side Market, because it is such a cool hidden gem for all ages to enjoy. This is the perfect place to go if you're looking for an obscure title that can't be found at your local library, gift-shopping for a book lover or just want to indulge your inner bibliophile while supporting local independent storeowners! read more

I heard about this place a few years ago and only just now got around to going to it considering it's a bit of a drive. I absolutely adore books and was beyond excited to check this place out. It's massive. I mean, it's MUCH larger than I was expecting? But the amazing thing about it is it's size somehow doesn't take away from it's warm and cozy atmosphere. When you imagine a bookstore, it probably looks and feels like this one does. They have all of the genres you'd expect and have a range of new and current New York Bestseller's list to older copies of various books. I spent a few lovely hours just exploring this place and petting Otis, the bookstore's cat who is amazingly friendly. Apart from the books (which are, again, amazing), they have a VERY large selection of greeting cards. Now you may be wondering why that's worth mentioning. I love discovering places that have great greeting cards because sometimes you want a birthday card that isn't from the supermarkets or Hallmark that all look the same. I wish I lived in Shaker Heights because OMG, I love this bookstore. I just want to sit here and read all day, everyday:) So, it was on November 5th (a Sunday) that I came here (if I can remember the date correctly). I was on a HUNT for the book "Little Fires Everywhere." Of the 2 libraries that I called (Rocky River and Lakewood), no copies of the book was available and everyone had the book on HOLD at the library. Plus, all the little independent bookstores were closed. I didn't want to buy the book but since I was out of luck with borrowing it from the library, I came here after going on a google search. This bookstore is big and wonderful. It is calm and inviting too with music playing in the background as you step in. The assortment of books available to purchase is out of this world. I just LOVE everything about this place. The staff person I spoke to was friendly and he even told me that you can sell back your books here too if you want. When I got in here and found out that they had the book I was searching for, I was so elated! I don't know why I didn't think of looking first in Shaker Heights for the book because the author is from Shaker Heights...haha (at the time, I only knew that the author was from Cleveland so I didn't know the specific neighbourhood). Anyway, while I was walking around the bookstore, I noticed that they had an author inside about to give a presentation so that was cool. I also appreciated the sofa chairs that were available for sitting to use to browse through all the books that are humanely possible. I am totally coming back here soon. You IN? Say YES :) read more

Oh my goodness, easily the best bookstore in the entire county! It is such an escape. They have an incredible mix of new books and old books, so you'll most likely find what you're looking for. I'm a collector of antique books and I managed to find original "Little Bear" the first time I went in at a price that I did not expect. I was wondering if there was a local bookstore nearby and was so happy to find this place. If you're looking for an alternative to ordering books online, and want the experience of wandering aimlessly through the aisles then this is the place! The store has a huge selection of new, used, rare and unique books. No worries if you have no idea what you're looking for because they have all sorts of recommendations set up in each area. Yelp classifies 5-stars as "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" and I couldn't agree more in the case of Loganberry Books. This is an exceptionally special place, a literary gem, and as Bethany C said, a treasure trove of books old and new. If you consider yourself a bibliophile, you're going to have some serious issues showing restraint in Loganberry. Aesthetically, this bookstore is unlike anything else you'll see in the area. There are sprawling stacks, sliding ladders, a tin ceiling, hardwood floors, a roaming cat, cozy seating... it's pretty much like a quainter version of a library from Beauty and the Beast. Once you settle in, it feels really hard to leave. Their selections run the gamut of new, used and rare. You'll fall in love with books you've never considered and enjoy chatting with the helpful staff. I've never done it, but they have this super cool program called "Stump the Bookseller." As the website explains, "Stump the Bookseller is a service offered by Loganberry Books to reconnect people to the books they love but can't quite remember. In brief, people can post their memories here, and the hivemind goes to work. Together with these wonderful Stumper Magicians, we have a nearly 50% success rate in finding these long lost but treasured books." Love, love, love all around. A book lover's dream! I was in awe walking into this delightful bookstore. It is quite large - keep going! There are several rooms and annexes to explore. You walk through the front of the store that has a variety of current hit books, plus some of the non-fiction sections, clearly marked, as well as the children's area. The selection is a combination of new and used books. The non-fiction area continues into the second space, which also houses a variety of fun little gifty items, like socks and funny potholders. There is a room called the sanctuary in the far back, and the annex splits off to the side. The annex is home to the restrooms, which were small but well kept. They are gender neutral single stall restrooms. They are currently some caterpillars at home in the annex space. You can also access the fiction room off the annex. I didn't see a parking lot here - looks like it is street parking, which is what we did. There's a lot of delightful seating throughout the store, including sofas, comfy chairs, benches, and more, encouraging browsing and lingering; the perfect feel for a bookstore. Unfortunately, we did not catch a glimpse of the at-the-time elusive kitty on our recent visit, so that must be an excuse for another visit! read more

How does this bookstore only have 49 reviews? Methinks it's only because people wander in here, find books they like, and then forget about the world. Because if you come here, seriously, that's what you'll want to do. First, this bookstore is nationally known for its "Stump the Bookseller" program, where it has a long archive of people who ask the booksellers to help solve what book they have problems remembering. People from all of the country can write in with vague memories such as "book about a flying cloud child" and they'll tell which book you're thinking of. You're in the hands of experts here. Secondly, I try to support independent bookstores but sometimes find they have a limited selection, and at least in DC where I'm from they tend to have a political persuasion. It can sometimes be hard to find something to read if I don't want to read about climate change because I just wanted to pick up a light cheery fiction or a book about Frank Lloyd Wright. Here, there is no way they don't have what you want. I've never seen a bookstore, including Barnes & Noble, with such a diverse selection of books. The front right selection of artists is my favorite and kept me occupied for such a long time, it took me a while to realize this bookstore is HUMONGOUS (it doesn't look like this from the front), and every room opens to like five more rooms. You'll get lost in here, in a good way. Thirdly, they have tons of community events like spoken word, an edible book festival (my heart, the only think I love more than books is food, and more than food, books -- thanks for combining the two!), author talks, film showings, and more. It reminds me of Politics and Prose that with such an active schedule it becomes more like a community center than a bookstore. Fourthly, the middle section of this bookstore sells Moleskine, board games, writing and art supplies, and random quirky and cute things like a ladybug contact case. Melts. You basically get a Paper Source right in the middle to wake you up with a oohhh lala in the middle of this paradise. Last, but not least, they have those wooden bookstore ladders that seem to exist more in movies than real life and make you feel like Belle from Beauty and the Beast. This place is magical. Go. You'll find tons of interesting subjects you'll want to read and it will EXPAND your mind, and only SHRINK your wallet slightly! ; ) read more
