Convenient, centrally located cafe in the historic district. Like many businesses in the area a simple diminutive storefront, a glass-shelved display of their baked goods immediately to the right, a register area followed by a narrow espresso bar to the back. A handful of seats inside to the left rounds out the features of this cafe.
On a weekend morning the staff was pleasant, answered my questions about what a few pastries were, and helped me select and purchase a bun expeditiously all within 5 minutes.
The baked bun with a line of what tasted like lemon custard €2.50 on top was fluffy, soft and lightly sweet, similar texture to a well-baked Chinese bakery bun. Though I didn't try their other offerings such as sfolgiatelle, rhum baba, cannolis and croissants, they looked decent as well. read more
