This new market just south of Calgary is absolutely fantastic from a park with kids to play in too I've Market with many vendors at a restaurant Above This Market checks all of the boxes you're looking for. Like a taste of the West Coast securely and nestled in the foothills of South western Alberta

The staff was abrupt and genuinely false! I was cut off and not helped very much about my inquiry into purchasing flowers at this place.

Nice market area with a great selection of crafts, artisanal foods and lunch stalls. Great activity areas for kids on a sunny day

Few standout vendors. Park seems interesting for kids, but would like to see more traditional farm-to-table produce vendors.

    Review Highlights - Granary Road

Definitely geared for kids there's a fun park area in the back with lots of educational but still fun displays such as an ant farm, mushroom field, petting zoo and bee area (among others).

The rest were art, crafts, ceramics, small business people, and food vendors. Everything was very nice and clean, there is a good amount of free parking (a rarity in Canmore), and the vendors and the customers were very friendly and pleasant. I was pleasantly entertained for an hour, and spent about $80 dollars at a real farmer's sausage stand. Thank You, Uncle Bernie, you saved the day. Five Stars.

Can believe at the mountain town like this has a decent farmer market. Although is only about three blocks, they have quite a unique vendors. We saw the inventor vender such as coffee homemade grinders. The grinder also can grind pepper, sea salt and more. A lot of home made food such as the apple strudel, cake bakery, Canadian waffles, crepes, bison burger. There also veggies and fruit vendor after all this is a farmer market. There is art vendors also displayed their best product. Overall this is beautiful backdrop with mountain range. The market is nice to walk on since the weather is really nice at this time of year. The visitors center of the Canmore is just next to the market if you want to visit.

I got to try their entry for Alberta Burger Fest 2016 and it was amazing! Typically I'm not a fan of anything sweet on my burger (aside from ketchup or maybe sautéed onions) but this one might've just changed that opinion forever! Their bacon jam & house made ketchup really made my day. ;) It's a messy burger (as all good ones ought to be!) I recommend giving it a try! On another note I got the sweet potato fries and they were also spectacular! They're the wavy/crimped kind and I guess it's all that extra surface area that gets them extra crispy when fried. If you usually don't order sweet potato fries or are on the fence about them I'd recommend trying silver sage's, that little extra bit of seasoned crunch just might make a believer out of you!

Silver Sage cattle are raised primarily on grass, but if you are specifically interested, they can detail exactly what the cattle are fed as they are raised. They aren't fed animal by-products, and they aren't injected with synthetic hormones or theraputic antibiotics. These guys care, and after the recent XL Foods issues, consumers are more and more starting to care more too. They do tend to sell out of popular cuts early in the day / weekend, but you can pre-reserve anything you want ahead of time. Just pop by the booth and place an order for a future weekend, or give them an email / call. We've found this very helpful, because showing up at an early hour on the weekend isn't something we are particularly good at. They are also really helpful with cooking tips and recipes! I used to always love this YMCA but recently I have been feeling unsafe here as the train station is so close by I think a lot of homeless people come here as I have seen people sleeping inside before. As well, the high school is attached so I do't necessarily enjoy going here during the day. It is so busy and impossible to get parking. Quarry Park is a new beautiful location and is not near a train station and does not have a high school attached.

The step class was great! It wasn't too crowded so I had tons of space and they also provided towels. Being a beginner, I totally thought I would miss many steps but the instructor gave great instructions which were easy to follow. Overall, the staff here are friendly and helpful - especially the girl at the front desk who, when I was asking about membership, asked how old I was?!?!?! I'm well past the age of 18 which is an adult memebership! lol. I guess I coulda gotten a teen membership?!?! The building is connected right beside the Calgary Public Library. It's clean and nice & separated into two floors. They have all the usuals here. A pool, a fitness area, a weight circuit, stretch area, & gym. The locker room is fairly long with ample lockers for usage. They provide locks too! If you need a lock, make sure you get one at the entrance gate (they'll ask for a card with your name on it to hold it). There are a LOT of machines upstairs in the fitness/weight area. The machines are newer and fancy with lots of variety. I even saw one that simulated moving uphill on cross country ski's - it was cool. I was there at 10am and it was BUSY! For the busier weight machines, I had to wait my turn.... which was kinda awkward since the machines are kinda close together with only room between them for traffic flow, so I felt like I was in the way of traffic while waiting. One last thing... they provide 'wet wipes' for you to clean the equipment after your usage which makes me happy cuz I know that they care about not spreading germs. =)
