I also had him install a TV cable box holder and tack down some co-ax cable on the fireplace. 2 hours!!!!! $180. I have a great handyman that I use in Denver. He was appalled at these times. He didn't look at the evaporator coils inside or even put gauges on the system to see how much refrigerant was left. Had he done that, he would have seen the oil stained hole in the evaporator coil and there was very little refrigerant left in the system. The low pressure was the reason the compressor wouldn't kick on, it wasn't even burned out. Due to his incorrect diagnosis, the warranty company denied my claim. He actually called me a retard!

Mario is a nice, polite and well versed serviceman. During the inspection he mentioned the capacitor was "reading low" and he recommended I replace it. I looked it up on google and it suggested the price of the part was about $25. Now mind you, I had no trip cost, as he was already on premises for the annual service. He quoted $500 and change. I was shocked and he then went to to say that I really should install a "Turbo Capacitor" and "UPGRADE THE ELECTRONICS. for a total cost of $702. They confirmed that the price is fixed - I felt under the gun. He was already here, trip fare was paid so I figured to approve the install and challenge the number with the office. He then told me that the insulation was warn, so he needed to replace, not urgent, but needed. About 18" of foam insulation....price $209....FOR 18" of cheap, off the shelf insulation that probably costs under $1....and he was already at my place. After a lot of back and forth, he "threw in" the foam. I called the office and explained my shock at the price and was told they bill at $400/hr labor plus parts. Even with trhat exorbitant hourly rate, he hardly worked for 45 minutes to do all the work, so I asked for a breakdown of parts and labor. Was told they work on fixed pricing with no breakdown. I have been a satisfied customer and find their technicians to be able and polite. On their website I gave them a 4 star review thing I would be able to put some of this story but there was no such opportunity. I hate feeling that every time something needs repair, you have to guard against being taken advantage of. I thought I had a trusting relationship with them, and am disappointed to find out that is not the case.

Highway 103 Plumbing (Black Hawk, Colorado)…read more Not certified HVAC techs or BBB accredited. False advertisement. Over Charged. Don't Use. Basically claims to be a certified HVAC tech. Don't trust him. Colorado Natural Gas returned the following day after his service and gave me a second shut off notice on my wall heater because of improper technician work. The CNG tech also mentioned this individual has terrible reputation around the area and was able to call out his van type. Service Call Experience: I have a small wall unit furnace. Was tagged by CNG for leak after they installed new meter. Required me to call a service tech to fix. First service call, he created a noticeable smell gas leak in appliance that was not there prior. After I called him a second time and he returned to fix the leak, I had to call another tech the following day, to come fix his work. There was still a smell of a gas leak the following day. -I was charged $210/hr, the "premium rate" +$78 fee to make the trip (standard fee), for simple repairs. Supposedly he lives a mile from me. -The first time the service call was performed earlier in the day. The main issues were not fixed. -Issues being a small leak from the appliance and an ignition switch. Report from natural gas company given at beginning of service. I was charged for --a new thermo coupler (recently was replaced by us, was not needed to be replaced nor highlighted on report by natural gas company) --measured gas outlet pressure --and a dismantled ignition switch, a new one was not installed during service. --a broken thermostat, that worked before his service. $18.88 was the total of thermo coupler $315 labor $78 (drive out fee) --------------------- Total was $411 -I provided soap and water to test the gas lines for leaks. He did not have gas reading gauge/meter required to take gas measurements. -Did not provide an invoice on work completion, instead a hand written note. -I cannot now turn my thermostat past the setting of 2 now, when prior I was able to. -When I asked about over charging for the service, and pressed him on the terrible work, he did not want to discuss refund options or discount, and claimed to be "orthodox" with his work habits. Despite charging 2 hours of labor for list of fixes above. It did not take him 2 hrs. -The following day, another gas odor was smelled. I called Colorado Natural Gas, they flagged my wall furnace for the same issues I called for to begin. The CNG tech said that my unit was not fixed and actually made worse. -The job should not have been charged for more than an hour. *If the work was "premium rate" work, it should have been done right the first service call. This is not premium rate work. This is crackhead work.

Called Right Away Heating and Air Conditioning since the last time they were out cleaning my air conditioning unit found out all services they can do. So called Right Away Heating to come out and check the sewer pipe, they scoped it and tried to clean the line but found my pipe broken and backed up. So here we are after just getting all my front yard landscaping all done few weeks ago Henry gives the bad news that were destroying it to dig out to the street to replace out sewer line. So tell me who can be happy about that? But knowing what the guys at Right Away Heating are capable of doing they were my best and only option I'd ever make. With everything he had going on in his day, he had a sense of urgency to stop his day to handle the situation making calls for equipment, product and labor for the work needed. The next day henry and equipment came early, followed by product needed, he had his ducks in a row and was rather impressive. By 5pm I was able to go to the restroom and shower again, and I must say these guys kick ass!!! I'm a firm believer in using small business all the time and they didnt disappoint!! The only downside is my newly redone yard that's now a battle field, but must say Right Away Heating Won the War!!!
