Joe is The GOAT. Just moved into the new place and needed a new water heater. I received many…read morequotes that started at 5k and they used scare tactics to push for upgrades and unnecessary work. Thankfully I found Joe. He was knowledgeable, funny, a great guy and didn't try to upsell a thing. He replaced my water heater at a great price. While he was here my sewer was backing up when he tried to drain the water heater. He asked that we get it cleared before he finished the job. We called Homeservice plumbers and they came out, said there was a block and they would have to tear up the basement and the starting price was almost 7k. More if they found other problems and they repeatedly tried to use, used car sales tactics and scare tactics to get me to replace Joe as my plumber and destroy the basement to clear a "block". Joe recommended Colorado Sewer Service and they came out and cleared the "block" in 10 minutes for 1/50th of what they were going to charge to tear up the basement and install a new unnecessary pipe just to begin with, which I am sure they would have tried to turn into a 20k plus job. Joe did a fast and excellent job and is just a good human being. I cannot say enough good things about this man and his business. Without a doubt I will use him for every job I need in the future. You are the best Joe, thank you again for all you did and for being Honest!

It's so bad, it's actually funny! Sorry it's a long read, but you'll be amused…read more THE CONTEXT: We have a UV Water Treatment system that started beeping after the power outage. The beeping, which is triggered by a sensor, is usually related to a faulty lamp, but it could also be that the water is too dirty, or that the sleeve that covers the lamp is too opaque for the sensor to pick up the UV light. I replaced the UV Lamp as I had done many times before and the beeping didn't stop. So I called around and Canyon was the first one that could come. THE INTERACTION: As soon as the technician, Mr. Martinez, arrived he mentioned he had so many calls with the same problem because of the power outage and hinted that the system was fried and therefore needed to be changed - this when we were still walking down to where the system is housed! Once there, he said something about my system being old (8 years) and cheap (VIQUA) and that there was a much better one out there that I needed now that mine is fried. We turned it on and he saw the beeping problem. Said the same thing; it's fried. I asked "well, what about checking the sleeve, maybe that's the problem?" to which he answered "Oh, no the sleeve is not the problem, never is, it's just there to protect the lamp"...completely dismissing doing some actual work... It's important to note too that I had two brand new sleeves in hand. So, he asked me to unplug the system so he could see inside and confirm it was fried... once he opened it, he told me to hold the voltage meter and read the number as he "checked the power".. it was obviously 0.0... So I told him: hmmm...the system is unplugged that's why it's reading 0.0... You can imagine his face. HA! He asked me to plug it back in and then used his body to hide what he was testing... the meter read 0.0 again... and assured me the whole system needed to be replaced without a doubt... re-wiring, re-plumbing, all of it. So, he finished putting the thing back together, left our house, and less than an hour later I got the estimate: $4,277.38 for a new VIQUA SYSTEM!!! Yeah, the one he said was cheap! HA! You can't make this stuff up. THE SOLUTION: I went ahead, looked for how to videos on YouTube, and replaced the sleeve -- which was opaque -- myself. The system is now running fine and there has not been any beeping since then. CONCLUSION: I don't really need to add anything else. You can form your own conclusion. I, for one, will never be calling them back. Good thing they don't charge an inspection fee though!

Highly recommend working with Canyon Plumbing. Jaron and Graham are both kind, prompt,…read moreprofessional, clean, and do great work! I've worked with them on several projects and am always impressed by their communication and the work they do. I…read moreonly had a small job I thought, replace a bathroom type ceiling exhaust fan that was in the laundry room of the house I had just recently bought. A malfunctioning exhaust fan is an odd problem to handle because electricians don't want to deal with duct work or anything they consider HVAC and HVAC people want to work on/replace furnaces or air conditioners not exhaust fans. Through Yelp I found and contacted Travis at Handyman Plus. He made an appointment and showed up right on time. The "broken" exhaust fan was not actually broken it turns out, nor was the switch which seemed to do nothing. It's a type of continuous running whole house exhaust fan unlike anything I had seen before. The wall switch which appeared like it might be broken wasn't it's just the way this fan operates. Travis got me all the information I needed to look up this fan and learn how to use it. A few weeks later I had a medicine cabinet I wanted installed in our master bathroom. As the wall area to be opened also housed the electric line to an outlet I asked Tarvis to do the installation. Again this was a small job, not the scale of work sought by many people in an up economy. Travis made an appointment, texted me when he was on his way and did an excellent job installing my cabinet; without hitting the power line or electrocuting himself. I'm really pleased with the work but more pleased overall with Travis of Handyman Plus. He is professional, thorough, capable and resourceful. I would not hesitate to call him for much larger jobs.
