First time here for dinner with a group training. The restaurant was fairly noisy, especially with the game on downstairs from where we were sitting for our meal. Nothing that wasn't expected given that it's a bar and restaurant. The food was delightful, well cooked and came out quickly. Our tour group was virtually the only party in the restaurant, yet the service was slow and uneven. One couple was never served. We got multiple bugs and curly hair in our food (3 out of 8 plates), but they purposed literally zero solutions. During argument, they the owner keeps showing condescending attitude. Tourist trap! The exceptional interior has great potential and could have been turned into something great. Unfortunately the food is terrible with low quality and bad cooking skills - you might as well eat at the next gas station. Staff was also showing how much they hate their job. Took forever to place an order, even though it was almost empty. Don't go there! Hopefully they shut down soon so someone can turn this place around. I often see groups of tourist or school classes go in, because they have a lot of space for large groups. I assume that's how they survive. I'd rather eat at the hospital. read more

Berlin is a beer-oriented city. But sometimes you need a quick buzz and, as they say, liquor is quicker. What I'm trying to say is that if you're a drunk, Oranium has you covered. These aren't exactly craft cocktails, but their Zombie has 11 cl. of liquor (as I understand it, nearly four shots) mixed in with some juice or something. And it's €7. This is a far cry from the €8 or so it costs for 2 cl of any sort of decent whiskey. And once you've downed two in a short period of time, I dare you to try and not order a bacon and onion flammkuchen (unfortunately dry flatbread pizza thingy). And if you can also avoid getting some currywurst on the stumble home, you're a better man than me. read more

This place is a little pricey but is the food is great. It's an old school bar bistro with some seriously vintage menu items. We were in the generator hostel Accross the street and this was quite close. We did lunch and breakfast here. The lunch was nice. Clubhouse, pizza, burger. All well prepared. The drinks were quite expensive so be careful. When we did breakfast go with the brunch for 2 for $18 and you get a ton of food. It was massive! Great fresh squeezed oj and coffee here. read more

'Veggie burger with ...' usually means more than 'lettuce with ...'. I'm really curious what would have happened if I got the regular veggie burger since I got the mediterranean burger. Would have been great if there had been a paddy in there...The onion rings were really good though--a bit thick. Came with nachos too. The cheesy-jalapeno sauce was more cheese with jalapenos in it so it was not spicy unless I got a jalapeno on my chip/onion rings. Service was a bit slow and she took the 2euro extra as a tip for herself without asking. read more

This has a great patio and good to people watch. However, the food and service was terrible when I went...July 4 2023. I almost left after they hadn't taken my drink order after 10 minutes but I decided not to be the ugly American. I wasn't in hurry. I ordered a glass of wine and the Pollo Pizza.....they literally were served together about 15 minutes later. I knew I should have left.. The pizza tasted like nothing! Nothing! You know how water taste like nothing! No flavor seasoning at all! I was hungry by this time and tired. I had to return to my room and pack my bag so I ate the chicken off the pizza and left everything else...he asked of I wanted it to go? No thank you....paid and then acted as if je wanted a tip....you know tipping is mot a custom in most European countries bit I think in these touristy spots they have been trained to expect it ....do yourself a favor and keep walking up the street....there was a hole in the wall aa block away. The lack of service at Oranium is remarkable. Guests wait for what seems to be years to place an order, get the icecold meals and new rounds of refreshments. You may think Oranium is understaffed, it's not, they seriously lack training. When you as a waiter carry your tray with two hands, lack the skill of being attentive and choose to leave the room without any new orders and no glasses on your tray you have failed! If you prefer to waste an evening consuming a cold meal acompanied by no service at all this is the place. read more

The last day we were in Berlin, my English boyfriend was in hot pursuit of a full English breakfast. Unfortunately for him, we were unable to find any such a spread in our 4 day trip. In the center of the center, Oranium was not exactly on my list of places to see and eat at. With so many independent, tasty and cozy little cafes, bistros and bars, I was hesitant to eat here. I guess if you're looking for a big sloppy hungover breakfast, this is your place. I ordered two fried eggs with toast, and my boyfriend had the full English Breakfast. We both felt our heart rates slowing afterwards. Fair enough, the staff was great, and the art deco style decor and building were a nice view while I was trying to digest my very heavy meal. I like this place for those long, sitting around, hungover mornings after a long night of being ridiculous on Warschauer Strasse. The brunch is until 4:00 p.m. and barely making it there at 3:30 p.m., sunglasses in tow, I've never been disappointed. Brunch is sort of an art in Berlin, a competition between who can sit the longest and savor their Milschkaffee the most, this place is extremely conducive to such activities. I had their club sandwich once, and hard boiled eggs and cucumbers on my sandwiches aren't really my thingit's a German thing and I accept that as I scrape off the Gurken and eat it with the salad on the side. read more

Very atmospheric restaurant. Went there for diner, no problem getting a table, waitress very friendly so I have to disagree with some other reviewers. Lighting is very subdued, making it difficult to actually see the food, but it tasted good. I ordered the currywurst dish and it was good, but then it is a pretty basic dish. I noticed that at lunchtime they serve a specialist berlin dish of raw minced pork and onions. I think only the brave would try that one :-) read more

I stopped by for brunch as I passed by - had the eggs with mushrooms and toast with an orange juice and macchiato. The plate was HUGE and filled me right up! Service is very friendly and speak English perfectly - for the foreigners - and I would highly recommend for food quality and getting what you pay for! The only thing I really hated was the server requested a tip when she gave me the bill - specifically for "at least 15%." This is incredibly rude, and as a server in the past, very bad judgment. She got her tip anyways, because I'm not a monster, but management should discuss this with their wait staff. read more

Extremly disappointing sums it up. We went there for a quick afternoon cafe. Service is terrible and food is mediocre. First thing you notice is that on the card you find everything, from pizza over German specialities to sweet dishes. We went just for a snack, but all the food was just average at best, combined with horrible service this is a never again. First our server forgot to put the tea in tea pot I ordered. After 5 min she finally brought the tea leaves, which were just some average tea, small leaves and bitter. For 4.10 Eur in Berlin you can expect better. After that I asked for milk for my tea. Wir waren eine Woche in Berlin und haben jeden Tag auswärts gefrühstückt. Dieses Café war der Tiefpunkt! Ausgesucht hatten wir es nach dem Kriterium, dass Brötchen bei Bedarf nachgereicht werden. So stand es auch auf der Tafel groß vor dem Eingang. Dafür nahmen wir dann auch die deutlich höheren Preise in Kauf. Tatsächlich wurden dann aber die Brötchen nachbestellten Semmeln einzeln in Rechnung gestellt, zudem gab es für das gesamte Frühstück (15EUR und 20EUR Basispreis) nur ein einziges (!) dieser kleinen Butterpäckchen, sodass man quasi genötigt ist, davon nachzubestellen. Das lässt man sich natürlich dann auch noch vergolden. Ein frisch gepresster Orangensaft, zugegeben groß und ganz lecker, schlug mit 6EUR zubuche! Als Krönung kam oben drauf, dass die Bedienung absolut genervt und sauertöpfisch war. Wenn man sie erneut wegen einer knappen Zutat ansprach, hat sie sogar mehrmals geseufzt. Zweimal mussten wir nachfragen, wo denn Marmelade / Butter / Brötchen bleiben. Alles in Allem haben wir nachher über 40EUR (!!) für zwei Leute bezahlt bei einem weniger als durchschnittlichem Frühstück und absolut inakzeptabler Bedienung. Everything started ok. Went there for breakfast, ordered coffee and Norwegian breakfast. Ate a major part of my dish and found a quater inch worm happily crawling in my food. Happens, but rucola should have been washed before serving-well, it obviously wasn't. My meal was taken away and the manager brought a glass of prosecco - I don't drink- Took it away, then brought orange juice and tried to buy me with a dessert. Surprisingly, I wasn't hungry anymore. When it came to paying... I had to pay the full price of the meal. WHAT? Be careful, the waiters are thieves. Me and my fiancee left an iphone 6+ on the chair at the table with no guests around and in very low light, where nobody would spot it unless they sat at the table. We came back in 15 minutes, no new guests were sitting at our table, the iphone was gone and the waiters had no idea where it went. I have eaten at Grand Bar twice and both times I really enjoyed it! The location on Oranienburger Strasse makes for a lively atmosphere. The service is efficient and friendly. I heard them speaking English to several other customers. The food is good and very well priced. The pork medallions with green pepper sauce is very good. It is easy to find and when you have finished it is a pleasant walk down the street to Hackershor Markt! read more
