I decided to have my last meal on this trip at Le Grand Cafe located beside the Place d'Armes park in downtown Luxembourg City. This is an upscale restaurant that is well known and the entire area is a pedestrian zone so there is no parking nearby. The restaurant does have a small covered outside seating area in front but most seating is inside. I wanted to order a local dish and was recommended the Wainzossiss Grand Cafe entree for 24.50€ and added a large glass of Simon Pils beer for another 8€. First to arrive was some delicious complimentary french bread and not long after my order was presented and it looked good. 3 sausages made of pork and veal with grilled tomatoes and green onions along with some mustard sauce with a hint of horseradish. It also came with mashed potatoes and a small salad. This meal was very good tasting. I rarely eat sausage but this sausage was delicious and flavorful. The same goes for the grilled tomatoes on the plate. The mashed potatoes were flavorful along with that salad made with fresh ingredients. Finally, the beer was excellent. I enjoyed my meal at Grand Cafe and recommend it for a satisfying meal. read more
