Awesome must see landmark. a little pricey to get in, but the views are breathtaking and surreal. The Grand Canyon's beauty is both overwhelming and humbling, offering a landscape that feels both ancient and eternal, with every angle revealing something new and breathtaking. The layers of sedimentary rock, exposed through millennia of erosion, tell a geological story of ancient seas, deserts, and mountain ranges. Vegetation varies from the lowland deserts at the bottom to the pine forests at the rim, providing a diverse ecosystem. At the canyon's rim, panoramic views unfold endlessly, while the deeper reaches offer a sense of solitude and timelessness, where the roar of the river can occasionally be heard far below.

Curty was an awesome tour guide and Dawn the driver kept us safe. It's my twin daughter's 30th birthday today and we enjoyed the Skywalk and Guano Point.

Let's get to it! I took the tour on 5.25.24 with Brandon & John..I enjoyed every second of it! Brandon was cool and knowledgeable. We arrived safely to all of our destinations. Brandon was there before 5:45a to pick us up as he stated. Breakfast and dinner was provided to those who paid for it. Lunch was provided for everyone. The stops and tours was awesome!! We made it back to L.V. at 5:30p. Brandon helped us with taking pictures. Thanks Brandon, "Turner" loved the tour and the pics! * Oh and the red velvet cake was so damn good!

We booked our trip to Grand Canyon west rim and Hoover dam offered by Grand canyon destination tour through an online bookings. This was a full day trip and It was very memorable. We woke up and have to be at treasure island by 545 am or so. We walked from our hotel which was Vdara to treasure island. When we booked this trip, the description stated hotel pick up. We did not know that pickup only at certain hotels and not all hotels. Which is understandable considering that would take forever. Overall, Elaine was a great driver. She drove the tour bus and back it up to park with ease. Curty was great and had a lot of good jokes throughout this ride. Before we head to Grand Canyon we stopped and pick up our lunches at a restaurant that the tour bus has contracts with. Other people picked up their breakfast if they ordered the night before as well. We were so glad we brought our breakfast at the hotel cafe, which cost more but it was of better quality to us. This tour bus have outlet to charge our phones, which was great. We stopped along the way for restroom break and then headed to Grand Canyon. We opted for our own tour and we like it more. We get to go at our own pace and not have to wait for other people to sightsee. The Grand Canyon shuttle driver was all nice. We headed back to our bus around 130pm or so and then went to Hoover dam afterward. We got dropped off at treasure island around 630pm. It took us twenty five minutes or so to walk to Aria for dinner. It was a long day. We were glad we did the tour bus trip so we do not have to drive to Grand Canyon by ourselves.

Had an amazing time! Donald was funny and a cool driver and Curty was just the same. Curty was very knowledgeable about everything on the way to the Grand Canyon. We highly recommend Grand Canyon Destinations

Amazing West Rim Tour with Curty! My friend and I booked our Grand Canyon West Rim tour with Grand Canyon Destinations through Viator. We had some schedule changes beforehand, which made us a bit worried about how the tour would go. But to our AMAZING surprise, we ended up having the BEST time! Our tour guide, Curty, was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. We stayed perfectly on time at every stop and never felt rushed or stressed. The views were breathtaking, and Curty's commentary really added depth to the experience. This was honestly one of the best tours I've ever done. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, easy, and well-organized way to see the Grand Canyon.

We had an amazing experience today. Curty was such a wonderful guide on the bus. He had great jokes and was very knowledgeable about everywhere we passed including the canyon itself, it made the experience so much better having someone so respectful, kind, and passionate about all that we went through on our adventure today. Thank you Curty!

Simply the BEST tour company in Las Vegas! Another annual wedding anniversary celebration in Las Vegas and our Grand Canyon visits are always the best. Book early, board early and sit back!

Please fix the A/C on the buses! It was a miserable 5 hour round trip with non-working a/c vents. There were times when I felt extremely lethargic and sick despite trying to replenish myself with water. There is no excuse to not have properly functioning a/c in 115 degree temperatures. We booked the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam tour. The morning started pretty early! We were at the pickup location at 445am. We made 2 additional pick up stops and we're on our way. We didn't return to our drop off location until 7pm. Layla was our tour guide. She was amazing! Kind, personable, and knowledgeable! She did an amazing job! Now to the 2 people who ran off from the group and left us waiting in the heat for over an hour while Layla ran around fervidly trying to find you! We had to cancel our other 2 stops just because they delayed our schedule. Please keep in mind that this is NOT an individual private tour, you can't just run off and inconvenience everyone else! They then called the office and said the tour bus left them. NO, YOU RAN OFF FROM THE GROUP. Layla did everything within her power to find you! That part was a HUGE inconvenience and took away from the experience. But all and all, both the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam are beautiful sights to see!

Stop on Route 66 in Seligman, AZ, where the movie "Cars" is based - it's Mater!

I was planning a day trip to the Grand Canyon from Vegas, and after some research, I decided to go with Grand Canyon Destinations and do a South Rim tour. I'm pleased with my vendor selection. We booked through a third-party site via Viator and communication was seamless. As promised, they sent pickup details the night before. We went with the most basic tour option (bus tour only). They had other options to order a hot breakfast and upgrade to the walking tour; they offered several opportunities to purchase the add-ons (Pro tip: if you are interested in the upgrades, it's cheaper to buy the basic bus tour and do the add on later). A brown bag lunch was included and came with your choice of a ham, turkey, or veggie sandwich plus a bag of chips and bottled water. To start the tour, there were several pickup stops along the strip: Golden Nugget, Sahara, Treasure Island, Horseshoe, and Excalibur. They assigned us to our pickup stop based on hotel location. They told us to be there 10 minutes beforehand and gave us the bus number and driver name (Rick) details in the email. Our tour guide for the day was Steven. He did a great job of communicating the itinerary and provided facts about each point of interest along the way. One of the pit stops and highlights along the way was driving down Route 66 and stopping in Seligman, Arizona - where the Disney movie "Cars" was based! Speaking of movies, there was a DVD player on the bus and they played a History Channel movie about the Grand Canyon and Historical Route 66. The movies were later switched to a marathon of family-friendly showings: Cheaper by the Dozen 1 and 2, The Incredibles 1 and 2, Bedtime Stories, and Minions. The bus was clean and comfortable. There was also a restroom onboard (but I did not use it). They spaced out the rest stops enough that using the onboard facilities wasn't required. Since it's a long drive, it would've been nice to have charging outlets as an amenity, but I won't knock them for it. For the free breakfast, we were offered granola bars. The first pit stop was in Boulder City where we stopped at The Tap restaurant to pick up our bagged lunches and hot breakfast items (for those that purchased this option). Cookies were passed out after the Grand Canyon visit as an afternoon snack. They counted out the exact number of cookies for the number of people on the tour - so no seconds! On the way back to Vegas, we stopped back at The Tap to pick-up dinner (a menu was passed around the bus on the way back and the tour guide placed orders en route for those who wished to purchase). We didn't stop at The Kingman Visitor Center on Route 66 as noted in the itinerary. The reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because the itinerary was misleading. The itinerary could be more clear that those who purchased the bus tour option only (no walking tour) would be dropped off at Mather Point and given 2.5 hours to walk the Rim Trail to meet back at Bright Angel Lodge. Only those who purchased the walking tour would be driven down to Bright Angel Point to walk that trail. Mather Point to Bright Angel Lodge is a 3-mile walk and the 2.5 hours was enough time to make it to the meeting point and take plenty of pictures along the way, but I was under the impression that we would get to explore Bright Angel Point (though I'm sure the views are all similar). They definitely encouraged purchasing the walking tour option, but they weren't forceful if you opted out of the upgrades like I did. Overall, it was a good day trip to the Grand Canyon, and kudos to our driver, Rick, for driving us 500+ miles to the South Rim, and to Steven for guiding us all the way.

    Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon Destinations provides a first class experience. We were picked up at a nearby hotel and driven to the Grand Canyon on a clean motor coach with a great and very funny tour guide, Kevin. In fact, Kevin helped make the three and a half hour drive out go by much quicker. We stopped a couple of times at a local truck stop on the way out, which provided everyone with a much needed bathroom break. The tour also included a tasty box lunch. I highly recommend this outfit. South Rim Grand Canyon

This was a fantastic tour. We had such a great time visiting the South Rim Grand Canyon. On the drive over, he was very knowledgeable about the landmarks. He even tried his best to keep us in good spirits with his jokes. The only downside was the bus. Seats are little small and uncomfortable, but we did stop a few times along the way to stretch. Over all it was a fun experience. We probably do it again.

That said, the views weren't dramatically different from what you might see flying over Vegas in an airplane. The helicopter definitely gives you a closer and more unique perspective, but I wouldn't say it completely blew me away. Was it worth it? I'd say yes, it's definitely worth trying at least once, especially if you've never been on a helicopter before. However, the views of Vegas themselves were a bit underwhelming for me. Maybe I've just been to Vegas too many times, but the scenery didn't have the same wow factor that others might experience on their first visit. So it always tends to be skewed and you have to take reviews with a grain of salt, so I was hopeful that would be the case for us and we wouldn't experience the problems that others have. Just as several others have mentioned here, our flight was cancelled the day of, after we arrived. We booked SEVEN months in advance, paid in full ~ $1200 for family of four. We arrive 30 minutes prior as instructed. They tell us, sorry, we have mechanical issues, so you are cancelled. They say, we tried to call you (we received no call because, guess what, cell service is not the best around the south rim of the grand canyon...). We said, we have seen at least 4 helicopters flying, how about canceling someone else, how do you select? Did everybody else here book 7+ months ago? Who is prioritized? The reality is they overbooked, and because we paid 7 months previous, we paid less (I looked, their prices went up since we had booked). So I guess we were the easy choice to cancel... They offered to rebook the next day, yet they know that nearly nobody can accomodate this, so it is a hollow offer where they know they can "do their part to try to rectify", but also know that nearly everybody would then just cancel, and the problem takes care of itself. Great business model... Everybody that is going to book a helicopter trip over the grand canyon is there on vacation, and nobody is staying anywhere near grand canyon village or the location of this airport. It is an hour drive just from Williams and the main road, one way. Anyone who books this is driving in from Sedona or Vegas or Phoenix for a half/one day trip, and vacation days/time is precious. Its not as though you can just go do something else nearby and wait until the next day... We had one window of time planned, and the time of this flight was it. I suppose that is why they do not really care about customer service, or screwing someone last minute. Its not like they are planning for repeat customers really... Kids were beyond disappointed. The build-up and excitement, only to be completely let down last minute. They cried as we were walking out and leaving because the talk of the helicopter ride was happening for months prior. And now to the refund. The girl at the counter said the refund would take 7-10 days. Ok, thats typical, whatever. 12 days goes by, no refund. E-mail and call. They respond and say that, because its been more then 6 months, we cannot refund back to your card. We can either ACH (and attached a form) or send a check. I respond to tell then to send a check. Who in their right mind is going to provide their bank account number and routing number into a microsoft word file and e-mail it back? Fast forward ~ 21 days. Still no check. So send another e-mail (haven't called yet because that is a whole other experience...). I receive and e-mail back, not a response to my e-mail, but a carbon copy of the first one sent 9 days prior saying I can use ACH or check. Um, huh? So here we are now, still no refund. Fortunately, since we were heading to Vegas that day (was supposed to be right after our helicopter flight), we booked with Maverick for a helicopter flight over Las Vegas the next day. $450 for family of four, and the experience was excellent all around. I'd recommend Maverick, and avoid this company.

We went to the place of business and met Bill Chevalier, the owner. He took us to the gateway to the city and we had photos taken underneath the "welcome to Las Vegas" sign. This was on a Thursday so many of the shows were not playing but Bill got us tickets to a very typical Las Vegas variety show and it made the day for my friend. When we got to the show we didn't have to wait in line as we were allowed to go right in and had our pick of the seats. I give Bill and his company 2 thumbs up for making the trip very memorable for my friend. Thanks, Bill!!

We were picked up by Rachel and Fred, the guide and driver respectively at the hotel. The Mercedes' streamer was clean and super comfortable. We arrived at the first site: Beehives. Rachel explained how the Mormon settlers had named the rock formations as it reminded them of beehives. Rachel let us meander and tak the obligatory pics. Then we went to the pictographs of Atl Rock. These pictographs were carved centuries before by the area's indigenous peoples. Without a Rosetta Stone their meaning is lost to posterity. We then did a hike: Wow. Rachel tolerated the Gen Xers making the obligatory references to Star Wars' Tatooine. She made sure we had plenty of water--and the poor sole--lugged additional water for the group. She was considerate of heat stroke and dryness and had us seek cover in natural shade. Fred was considerate and had the a/c turned on about 15 minutes before our arrival to ensure a cool van. We drove to the visitors center and had a prearranged lunch that Detours had picked for us and which we had prepaid for. Amazing. I can only say good things about Rachel and the driver. Bathrooms are very badly maintained at the park. I would say, nauseating. In addition, there is no where to buy food or water other than at the visitors center and the choices there are paltry.
