David was our guide, super knowledgeable, stopped for pics during drive out, told us history about area, made a special stop to see some sheep, oh- and the 1/2 day on the river was so much fun! Why should you book the kayaking tour to the Emerald Cove with Outdoorster? 1. Their communication is ON POINT. I received emails and texts telling me exactly where to go, what I should bring, and what they provide on the experience. I knew exactly how to get in touch with my guide and exactly what to expect. 2. They have glass bottom kayaks! I felt very secure in my kayak even as a beginner and no one in our group came close to tipping over. 3. We weren't rushed at all. Our guide Jordan gave us several breaks, took us on a short hike to get the best photos, and invited us to swim in the cooling water as well. A lot of companies rush you to the Emerald Cave and back, but we were able to enjoy the entire Colorado river experience. 4. They employ Jordan. Ask for Jordan if you go (though we did interact with other Outdoorster guides who were all very friendly and helpful). Jordan had snacks and water for us, took tons of photos, was patient with all 10 guests, had helpful information and suggestions about Las Vegas, and was just a genuinely friendly gentleman. We had so much fun on this tour! The views from the water, inside the cave, and on the bluff were all absolutely breathtaking. We also learned some neat history when we visited a 1920s River Gauger's house site. The entire experience was super cool and only a 1 hr drive from Las Vegas. Our tour guide, Max was awesome! I was nervous about going on the tour but he was super kind and patient with everyone. They also provided us with water and snacks which super cool. Highly recommend this tour if you're in the area! We did the emerald cave kayaking. We had a wonderful experience from pickup at our hotel to the kayaking itself. The day we went was forecasted to be very hot during our trip, but the cool water made the entire experience very enjoyable and relaxing. We opted for glass bottom kayaks during our trip, and highly recommend them. It let us look directly down, especially in the cave, and see some of the fish swimming around. While the emerald cave itself was a little disappointing, it was still worth it for the experience of kayaking down the river and seeing the nature around the river. read more

Great tour and workout with this group. Our tour leader was Max, he was super nice and helped us learn about kayaking and enjoy the trip. It was our first time. The lowest cost we could find by the way and our tandem actually had glass bottom. If you are shopping for best group, most companies who do these tours start from teh same spot in the park, do the same distance to the cave, the beach and back, and same time frame of roughly 3 hours, the difference is the type of kayak and leaders. We really enjoyed this kayaking tour. Our guide, Jordan, was entertaining, relaxed and professional. He offered some very good "insider" tips for the local area. He was attentive and provided water and snacks throughout the tour. OutdoorsterLV had to change the arrival time the night before due to high winds. We were traveling from PA to Las Vegas to celebrate. I searched Groupon for activities for my family. I found this tour for $37! Call to inquire was told I had to pay an additional $50 per person for pick up at our hotel in Las Vegas and $20 to enter the park. I was planning a party of 6, I asked to work out a deal to include everything, because I wanted to pay everything upfront before we traveled out to Las Vegas. Was given a deal for $97 per person to include everything park entrance, transportation, snacks, and kayak rental. Great booked it and paid. The tour guide was Christen. I would highly recommend you ask to be in his group. He was Great, friendly and great with kids. He pointed out landmarks on the way to Emerald lake and made some stops on the way there. Took pictures of my family for me. He was awesome! The company itself was deceiving. Day of the tour I was told I had to pay the park fee!!! Wait what?? I said it was included in my bill. I showed my receipt nowhere on the bill was listed to pay the park fee. The sales person check off the box to be excluded from the fee as military or park membership. They were deceiving to me and the company, which cost me an extra $100 in top of the $582 I was charged. Buyer beware! Because most of our communication was over the phone it was my word against hers. Even though the receipt never listed anywhere on it there will be additional $100 due day of!!! I was forced to pay the fee and because I didn't bring money they charged my credit card on file again! Leaving this review in multiple places. OutdoorsterLV: Had a great time with OutdoorsterLV on their Emerald Cave Clear-Crystal Kayak tour. Info and what to expect was texted before-hand as well as a link to the online waiver which was a cinch. I appreciated the small group tour style because in large groups, sometime the interactions can feel impersonal. Our guide, Jordan, made everyone feel at ease and connected the other group of 3 with myself. He was knowledgeable about the area, knew random facts about the Colorado River and was just a cool, genuine person. It was nice to break up the kayaking part with small excursions on land. First for the views, second for those not used to using their shoulders this much. Jordan didn't rush our group members and let us go at our own pace and we still ended up back at the boat ramp at the estimated time that the tour was going to end. I would give 0 stars if possible . Drove 4 hours to do the kayak and was told my name wasn't on the list , after over 30 min trying to find my name and after showing them my confirmation, they found my name on list and told me the crew for the tour I booked have left and I need to reschedule. I called for a refund and they told me they can only credit me and charge 60 bucks a person . That's almost what it costed a person to do this tour . Book somewhere else , after speaking with the kayak rental guide at the store he told me he hears that a lot and to avoid outdoors kayak rental . FRAUDULENT SCAMMERS AND A DOWNRIGHT SHADY COMPANY THAT HAS TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION WITH CUSTOMERS. I booked a service for the emerald cave tour for two people and the manager called to take my credit card information over the phone as they had technical issues with one of the reservations made. I was sent a standard text the night before to confirm details of the reservation that had the wrong time and different tour name... I texted and called the company several times to tell them there was an issue with no luck. Finally the morning of the tour I call and they said they pushed the start time back due to weather conditions without properly disclosing this via text the night before!!! By the time I called, the tour which was supposed to be at 10AM and they pushed back to 8AM, had already started. I never received the service and they are refusing to refund me!! You are supposed to notify people if their tour time changes and give them a reason, we are not MIND READERS. I assumed the wrong time was another one of their technical issues. The owner/manager has been MIA and the representative I have been speaking with has ZERO customer service skills by telling me that "my chances of a refund are low and he doesn't know when the manager will be back." Shame on this company for ruining what was supposed to be a relaxing 4th of July celebration and then trying to use their no refund loopholes to scam and take money for a service that was never provided. read more

THEY DESERVE 0 STARS! Want to know the truth about this company, well you came to the right spot. THEY ARE THE WORST OF THE WORST. They are literally the worst kayaking company on this river!!! Their kayaks are literally for kids. Their tour people are a JOKE! They're not trained not prepared for anything. My husband and I Decided to go kayaking for our first time in Vegas sadly it was with this company. Everything was fine and dandy until my husbands Kayak BROKE and was filling up with water!! The drain cover was missing! The tour guide told us this happened to him yesterday and HIS KAYAK SANK! We got on the shore drained the water and he tried to tape up the drain whole with "water proof tape" and take us back out. AGAIN the kayak filled with water and almost sank. We went back on shore and our tour guide was clueless on what to do. He was asking us what we want him to do??? He left us without FOOD OR WATER for a whole HOUR! Trying to let the other group know what happened. We sat there waiting for him on this tiny shore in the heat with all types of bugs crawling on us. He comes back and tried calling to use his phone to call for help and of course it didn't work, I had to let him use my personal cell phone to try and call someone for help. Of course no one picked up. Another tour company had to save the day and help us get back by letting me ride with her!! That company was called "evolution expeditions" as being said with that awful experience, I try calling to get a refund since we did not see the emerald green cave and sat in the middle of shore for over a hour waiting for help. They CURSE ME OUT called me a F-Ing B WORD on the phone then hung up in my face and blocked me. Now they took my money and the won't do anything about it. Please save yourself and do not book with them. They lied about being in business for "6 years" when in reality it's been 6 months. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! read more
