Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! Oh yes the coat was one I wore in high school and my daughter loved it and had the liner done for her for Christmas!!! She repaired large off-seam rips in expensive yoga pants and they look fantastic - $17 for the repair vs $120 for a new pair of pants. At times she has told me - "I'm not set up to do this job, but you can take it to XYZ shop and they can help,", which I appreciate. She is professional and I think she does pretty much everything on her own, so if you feel like she isn't being nice enough, maybe she is just in a hurry to get back to work (to be clear, that's *not* my experience at all). I have a ton of respect for this business and she's watching her grandkids at times to boot to help family.

They told me to purchase the fabric I wanted to use for the insert in my dress to give myself a little more coverage. They gave me a quote on the price of the work beforehand. I came back a few days later with my fabric, dress, and a pair of pants I wanted to get hemmed. I was quoted $18 for the basic hem and $45 for the insert because a lot of it had to be hand-sewn due to the many rhinestones on it. They asked when I needed my garments by. I said no rush - I needed the dress in a few months. They told me I could pick up in a week and had me pay for the whole thing up front. I picked up a week later and everything was done very well and met my expectations. I was especially happy that my ballroom dance costume turned out well. I started researching other options and came across this shop. I called them and they informed me that they could get my bridesmaid's dress done in a week. A week?! Nahhh, turn around is never that great with tailors and fancy dresses. I took it in 3+ weeks before the wedding with doubt in my heart. Two very helpful employees helped me problem solve the ill fit. They were both straight-forward about pricing and made an honest effort to creatively save me money. I ended up asking for pretty much all the alterations because I desperately wanted to look less like a silver sack. The employee who checked me out told me it would be done Thursday (only 5 days after I dropped it off)! HA! UNLIKELY! I left and awaited a call. They called me the next day to confirm alterations that would tack on another $30 before doing them and I agreed post haste. More waiting. 2 1/2 weeks later, I started to worry. I patted myself on the back for getting the dress in so early. I called them and the friendly lady on the phone asked when my dress was supposed to be done - I told her. She kindly responded that it was finished on the due date (3 weeks earlier) and I could come pick it up! I collected my dress and was informed by a cute, old lady that they don't call when something is done. They give you a due date and they stick to it. They only call if it is going to be late or if you haven't collected it after a long, long time. How dumb I felt!? Here I was doubting them and it took LESS THAN A WEEK! Shame on me. Overall, the work is lovely. My dress fits exactly how it should and the workmanship is impeccable. Their prices are comparable to any other high-quality tailor. Honestly, their reliability alone makes up for the price tag. So trust the cute little old lady and pick up your garment on the due date with confidence. tl;dr High quality work, reasonable pricing, 1 week turnaround, just don't expect a call when your garment is done.
