We're from Clear Lake and found ourselves in Katy with a little time on our hands. We were planning to replace 20 yr old 2nd floor carpet with hardwood. We talked with a number of flooring stores near CL and were not impressed with the selection, prices and the installation they offered (both cost and service level). In reality, didn't feel like we could trust 3 out of 4 of the other stores. In all honesty, we went to Grand Floors to fact check. We picked Abed and Grand Floors for two reasons: 1) bc Grand Floors had enough high ratings on Yelp/Google that he had to be doing something right 2) Felt he would be honest bc we were so far away in CL that he wouldn't see us as a serious prospect. Didn't think there was a chance a Katy shop would offer a competitive price to install 1700 sq ft in CL. Abed was great! What separated him was his capacity to listen and absorb social cues. Most places were trying to force fit us to buy what they've decided they're selling. That may work well for some customers. But if you're at all different in terms of budget, taste, objectives they'll try to bulldoze you into fitting their pattern. Abed was able to source the highest quality engineered hardwood we found anyplace at a price we were willing to pay. Installation with Ramon and his crew was excellent. The installers spent the time to meticulously screw down every squeak and level any uneven part of the subfloor. Our 25 yr old house is now tight as a drum. Every part of the process went smoothly from getting a bid, to scheduling payment, and installation. One thing to really call out is the way he handled our stairs. MANY contractor houses have staircases designed for carpet, converting them to hardwood is challenging for the best contractor. Abed and my wife came up with a solution that is beautiful and didn't break the bank. The engineered hardwood Hickory floors look great and my wife is very happy. All wins. We just had our floors put in last September 28, 2022 and here we now and already have some problems with the floors. We were told that we had a warranty covering any damages to include replacing the slats that was left at our home . We were told that we would just have to call and they would send someone out to replace the slat(s) that are damaged. I also have pictures of the damage! We've contacted Grand Floors and have yet to wait for a response after leaving messages. Several times to have the manager or someone by the name of Qaim Qasim who answered to call us so we can settle this matter, but have not heard anything. I would like to get this resolved immediately or will be taking action against this company for failure to follow through on their part when we had our floors done and what we were told by them that they would be held liable for when this happens. This fall, our household decided to convert a lesser used upstairs room into a home gym fitness area. We wanted to remove the existing carpet and install a rubber floor like we'd seen in commercial gyms. First let me start with Fadi, our salesman, he was so fantastic, straightforward, and caring with wanting to make sure we got a great product at a fantastic price. Now onto the installation team, there was only 2 but these guys did the work so fast and efficient if they had anymore people they would have just got in the way. The duo was fantastic and made the installation process so easy. Product - We went with Republic Flooring's Tropical Malaga and these floors are unbelievable. There is so much color variation that goes great with light and dark. There is a down home feel to the floors but a nice touch of modern, so there is nothing these floors won't blend with. Grand floors and more are refusing to take accountability for their work in my shower remodel. They did the entire bathroom shower remodel and since we moved back in, the shower has been leaking. They replaced the floors that had water damage and siliconed the corners of the shower tile as a 'fix'- however, after completely ghosting us and telling us it couldn't possibly their problem/issue, it has proven it was an issue with the pan installation. If it's a costly repair and their mistake, they will not uphold their end of the warranty. I do not recommend this company for a bathroom/shower remodel. read more

I worked with Wayne for a condo install, 1st floor laminate, 2nd floor carpet. He did a great job guiding me through the options, suggested a few samples that I hadn't considered and brought all samples I wanted to see on location to select from. I actually ended up going with the one he suggested and it wasn't my initial pick as I wanted lighter. Not only was he knowledgeable but also very quick on communication and upfront on prices as well. Installation was a breeze, after an initial schedule snafu due to rain (it's Houston after all!), the guys came in and were done in half a day for carpet and half a day laminate. I've used another installer for my home laminate project and after seeing how well Wayne's crew did on it, I kinda feel bad that I just found Grand Floors, as the other team put a few dings in the laminate and damaged expensive wall paint in several places that needed to be redone at my expense. I cant say enough great things about this Grand Floors & their employees. I had my entire upstairs carpet (except the bathrooms)replaced with luxury vinyl. They matched the color & wood style to my downstairs floor, advised me on the most current trends for my staircase. & installed it quickly. Their installers were outstanding. Every day they cleaned up perfectly. The 2 installers moved heavy furniture back & forth to get to all 5 bedrooms so I was able to sleep in my own room the 1st night. The removed all the old carpeting even though I told them they could leave it at the curb. The final installer (wish I could remember his name) went above & beyond for me. He pieced together some of the old carpeting so it wouldn't look bad at the transition between my bathroom tile which I told him was going to be the next home project. He cut threshold pieces for me to add later when I remodel my baths. This was the best experience I've had with fixing up my home. Wish I'd known about them after my home was flooded by Harvey! I had purchased a fixer upper and I was referred to Grand Floors and More to replace the carpet in my living room, dining room, and bathrooms. I was really hesitant to make the financial leap and was considering installing myself, but I am so glad that I went with Grand Floors and More! They were extremely professional every step of the way - from helping me choose the flooring that would match my entryway and kitchen tile to calling midway through the project as well as afterwards to make sure everything was going well. I am so pleased by the superior customer service I received as well as the floors that transformed the entire feel of my house! The contractors arrived to begin working on my home at 10am. They worked from 10-7 and they were extremely efficient and clean! All debris were swept up and they would routinely pick up materials. The next day they worked on the bathroom and installed the trim around the floors and they were so detailed that when it came to the fireplace and the wood was lighter and not as appealing visually - he went out and purchased a stain to fix it! It didn't bother me because it was such a small amount of space (and unnoticeable) but they wanted to make sure that everything was just perfect! I was discussing how I would remove the carpet on trash day with my partner and when we stepped out into the garage they had already removed it! The owner Abed, called multiple times through the process and after it was all said and done my partner (who is a big grump when it comes to spending money and was initially anti the project for right now and wanted to hold off) told me that he wouldn't go with any other company and that Grand Floors and More was the best experience he has ever had with contractors and he owns multiple properties that have needed renovation over the last few years. We got quotes from 3 companies to replace our kitchen counters with granite. Grand Floors was competitive, so we chose them. Wayne worked with us to select the color/pattern granite we wanted and stay close to our budget. There was a little miscommunication between parties and we weren't able to get our cutoff pieces (extra from 2nd slab), but Wayne and Lokesh made it right by letting us select an extra cutoff from their shop and taking that piece home. Lokesh's crew did an excellent job on the install; they were respectful of our home (laid out cloth to protect floors, no wall scratches, etc.) And took their time while still completing demo and install in a day. I am so happy with my new quartz counters from Grand Floors and More. Andres was the customer service representative that helped us and he was awesome. He had great communication skills and helped us find what we needed in a smooth and quick fashion. I appreciate him so much. We went with a white quartz and it was very reasonably priced. They only required half down to start then half upon finishing. The installation was fast and seamless. We are thrilled with how it came out and the cost for the quality. We attempted to go to Home Depot for countertops but there was never someone there to help us. Feb 14 freeze my son and daughter in law had a pipe freeze and burst. They contacted Floors and more received a quote and after reviewing all other quotes chose to proceed with them. What a colossal mistake, the job took over 10 months to complete, they had a custom shower built out in the master bedroom, and it looked great. A couple months later water began coming up from flooring. They contacted the store and after waiting multiple days were finally contacted by store owner. He went to the house inspected honored his 1 year warranty. Now the shower is leaking again, my son and daughter in law removed flooring and dried up the floor, removed the mold created by the leak and began observing. Found that the floor pan has a leak and so they reached out to the store owner, first call it took him over 72 hours to respond. He informed them to contact the insurance company and make another claim. Refused to go back and investigate! What a worthless individual, I don't understand why there are so many 5 star reviews, perhaps putting down pergo flooring isn't difficult, however sub contracting to have additional work is not a strong point for this business! I would not recommend anyone who does not have the intestinal fortitude to respond to a problem that was clearly created by his sub contractors. Grand floors and more gave a 1 year warranty and has no interest in backing it. BUYER BEWARE IF YOU WANT SOMEONE REPUTABLE I SUGGEST PASSING BY! read more
