Nothing screams adulting harder than browsing samples for quartz and porcelain tiles for home renovation. I was in the process of renovating my kitchen and needed to see what was out there to fully flesh out my ideas while staying within budget. Colours by Earth Stone is a Houston based company with locations all around the country. There is a showroom and a warehouse here, where it seems a lot of material loading is done locally. I've been here a handful of times and have come out of it inspired and refreshed each time. The employees are fairly good about answering questions and I never felt pressured to purchase anything while perusing their endless selection of tiles. The latter might have newcomers feeling a little overwhelmed with the process, but I appreciate the variety in colors and patterns. I also really love the real world setups for the bathroom and kitchen. Estimates will vary, but do a little comparison shopping to ensure the best price. I feel the prices are competitive but might be a little more than some other places. At the end of the day, quality matters a lot, and they certainly have no shortage of that. Be sure to take home sample tiles for comparison and have a list of questions ready for the staff. read more

Joel is great at explaining the differences between the types of stone with pros and cons. He takes time to understand your needs and design ideas and makes suggestions based on your input. If we need to move slabs around to get a different view, the guys are readily available to rearrange the slabs. Joel has been a huge help in my decision making process. The contact was ever so helpful and she walked us around to show us options first located in their showroom and then to where the slabs were located. So we could see how they look. She offered some excellent advice. We will reach out to them for our small bathroom vanity to see if they have something we can replace the top with. Love this place. I have spent hours upon hours at EarthStone, selecting slabs, countertops and tile for my house project. The selection of slabs (natural stone, porcelain, quartz) is exceptional - there is no substitution for seeing the actual slab in person vs viewing a sample or image online. You can wander around and see what you like or get help from one of the salespeople. I have worked almost exclusively with Erik, who is terrific. He listens to what I want and makes suggestions that fit both my budget and my aesthetic. He has gone above and beyond for me, multiple times. I also worked with Nora, who helped me think through some design decisions that were frustrating me. She's got a great eye. I highly recommend both of them. While their tile selection isn't as vast as some other places, they do have a lot of tile - most of it from local vendors. Not everything is on display, so ask if there is something you want that you cannot find. Also - the cookies are homemade daily. If you need a little snack to tide you over while shopping for countertops, be sure to grab one. read more

Bad service starts from the top in which case would be the owner Masoud Ladjevardian. Definitely not a business man or someone who would know anything about customer service. I bought a few slaps of stone and during installation one was cracked and when I went to purchase another one he was asking twice the amount i had originally paid, claiming that he gave me the wrong stone to begin with and i have to pay the higher price due to their mistakes !! He delayed my construction work by a week trying to decide whether or not he would honor his original price. He actually sent two of his managers, Grezelda and Eric, over my place to inspect the stone .. they are not any better than the owner in regards to customer service and calling back as they say they will. horrible that's what i can say . when you are supposed to have my order ready and you don't . you suck to me . in my business i don't mess with peoples time i 10000% respect it . got here at 9 when they open , gate was locked . my order was not ready to load like they told me it would be . guys just walking around not get my stuff . as a teen i worked at a warehouse loading materials. i would get the climates out of there in no time . i will not take all my business somewheres else and that's a lot of business with all the builders , decorators and homeowners that i won't send here anymore. almost 1hr an 1/2 of wasted time Bye !!! read more

My contractor did not follow up and fix a quartz issue and one of the managers personally came out to my house and spent about two hours cleaning the quartz to PERFECTION! The integrity and hardwork of a manager, as busy as he is, to personally handle a reoccurring problem with the quartz because of my contractor, is above and beyond good work ethic. Not a bad place and centrally located. We went in search of granite, referred here by our contractors. They have a very large selection. I'm not giving an excellent rating because of the lack of customer service. We were greeted, showed around very briefly and sent on our way. There was nobody there to explain the different types and their qualities. We walked around blindly. If you know what you want, then they do have a pretty big warehouse, so you might have better luck than we did! read more

Just downloaded the app and wanted to do some quick reviews on some recent places I visit. Last week I had an hour break from meetings and I saw the sign "colors - slabs" on Richmond street. I decided to do a quick stop and see what kind of material they offer since I'm remodeling my kitchen and 4 restrooms countertops. There was around 3 employees and twice the customer inside the warehouses walking around. I didn't knew who to talk to, but a young man introduced himself as raphael and offer to show me around. I didn't knew there were so many options!! He handed me a level sheet and a pen to take notes on any material that I like. Was very professional and well educated.
