IMHO, the level of service you receive will be in proportion to what you will spend. We dropped by looking for kitchen backsplash ideas. All of the folks who work here sit at a table on their phones, mostly men. I was asked what I was looking for. They had the young female help us for a bit and then had her help the next customer who walked in the door before she was done with us. At least we left with ideas, but no free sample (which was offered). I have never been so pissed-off with this level of service. Keystone will never receive a dollar from me and I have had several tile projects over the years. One star for the selection offered and one star for the girl who helped us. read more

If your pool builder uses Keystone tile out of Houston for their travertine beware. We have been dealing with Keystone travertine issues for 10 weeks and still have pool coping with chips, rough edges on the polished edge facing the interior of the pool, different tile thickness and different cut bullnose edges. The original load came with 8 broken tile. Unfortunately there were more with cracks that were installed. Each time they would send the exact number of replacement tile to only find some were chipped or edges rough. Wait again for next shipment. One set came in 1/4 inch narrower than the original, the next set arrived with a different thickness and a different cut bullnose edge. Finally a Keystone rep came to see the now, Frankenstein collection of coping on the pool. Kahil stood from afar a declared that this was stone and the rough polish edges and chip throughout, differing thickness and bullnose looked acceptable to Keystone. WHAT? Keystone and Kahil certainly have a low bar of acceptable quality. He also indicated if they sent more it most likely won't be much better. Really!!! They don't have any confidence they can mill, polish and deliver a travertine that is not all chipped up. Why spend top dollar to add an accent border to simply attract attention to chips, rough edges, different bullnose and thicknesses. If I only knew I would have not invested in travertine to go through all this and still have sorry stone around my pool. That said making sure any future pool consumer question who they get travertine from. My pool company is working trying to come up with an acceptable solution but this far seem Keystone is not read more

Our pool builder sent us to Keystone to meet with Jack and pick out our tiles. We were greeted as soon as we arrived and taken care of. There was a huge variety of choices and no pressure to make any choices. You can check out their website before your visit to narrow down some ideas. We were sent home with a set of samples to see what it looked like in our backyard and able to confirm our choices easily. Do not trust the samples you see in the showroom. The variance between the samples and what is installed is very different. I completely understand that natural stone has variances, but to have such a difference as shown in the attached images can derail a color scheme. As for guidance, we were in the store twice and offered no assistance at all. The second time when purchasing a sample, was treated with less than friendly service at the counter. read more

This is the worst customer service I have ever seen ROSIE AND MARLEN have a horrible attitude they are very rude and unfriendly.

We visisted Keystone Tile last week to look for pool tile as suggested by our pool contractor. What a great experience! We went up to the front counter to let them know we needed assistance and they got someone for us right away. Ivan was so knowledgeable and easy to work with. He helped us choose all the travertine, split face and pool tile and spent as much time with us as we needed. He showed us their brand new outdoor display area and it really helped to see the tile in an outdoor environment. My wife visited your location on Hempstead Highway, and after spending 20 minutes looking at tile, no one was at the counter to help her. As she was leaving, someone finally asked if she needed help. At that point, she was informed that since she was NOT a company or contractor, they could not sell her any tile. There were no signage that stated that only companies or contractors were welcome. Checking your website, I do not see any indication that the general public is not welcome. read more

My pool builder sent me here to pick out stone. I was told to ask for Ali, but when I got there, he was busy with another customer. Natalee offered to help and she pulled out all the stops. She took me outside to look at the pavers stacked, the different colors, and used a spray bottle to show the stone wet. I was in between colors, gold and scabos travertine and I ended up going with gold. She was very sweet and knowledgable. She walked me around the warehouse and got to look at the actual pallets of material. We marked them off, with the help of the forklift driver. He was very skilled at moving the pallets and offered to help choose pallets that matched my color preference. Their showroom is loaded with every color and style you can imagine. Today, my sister and I came to Keystone to look for tile to use in her new swimming pool. Keystone had been recommended to her by the pool contractor who had used the company before. Upon entering the showroom, not one worker/salesperson approached us to ask if we needed help. Figuring that the staff was busy, we looked around on our own. The funny thing we discovered was that anyone who wasn't Caucasian was being helped. We spent a good amount of time looking at tile and trying to make sure that the want we were looking at would not only work in the pool but would also compliment the stone that is on the side of the house as well. At no point did any of the sales associates ask if we needed any help. At one point we had to walk tile up to the sales counter (which had several associates seated not helping customers) to ask some serious questions. Again, no one from the company offered to come and help. The one time that we did get help from a nice lady who we had to snag as she was walking by, she countered all the information that the people at the sales counter told us. To say that we were miffed is an understatement. As soon as we got back into our car, my sister called the contractor and requested a different tile company to be recommended as she was not going to spend her money with a company that was so blatantly biased in their sales. The treatment or lack thereof goes directly against the company's "passion." I had the pleasure of meeting Naima today at the show room located on Hempstead Highway In Houston.As a designer, This showroom always has exactly what I need for my client base, and typically in stock. Naima greeted me at the front desk and was more than happy to come out into the showroom and assist me in whatever I needed. I found her to be personable, professional ,and very knowledgeable about the stone products in the show room. She quickly gathered the samples and checked inventory to ensure that I had plenty for my particular project. She even helped me out to the car with the samples that she had gathered!! One can't ask for better service than this. This is a very busy location, parking lot is typically filled with tile installers and stone specialist, add the many forklift buzzing around the yard and this can be quite intimidating for my clients to go alone. What you see (in the showroom) is not what you get when they deliver marble tile! Be very cautious and don't let their low prices fool you. We had 2 tiles that did not work out and after the second debacle they would not waive all of the restocking fee. This was even after we walked out into their warehouse to personally inspect the tile they were selling. Our tile installer even picked up the tiles so they did not have to deliver and they still would not waive all of the restocking fee. I had searched all over the place for a couple of months for my kitchen backsplash tiles and my contractor sent me here. (I guess I'm pretty picky.) I found exactly what I was looking for at Keystone and I got the perfect match for my granite countertops. The tiles are lovely. Enrique was my sales representative and he was very courteous, helpful and professional. The tiles were in stock so no having to wait a couple of weeks or pay for shipping. The showroom is very well done and the selection was very good.
