Something really sketchy is going on here, so I feel like I need to warn people. I got gas here and had to pay inside because one of the pumps was marked "out of order." These same pumps have been out of order for over a year, which already felt off. I paid at the register with a young guy working the counter. The next day, my credit card was hit with about $1,300 in fraudulent charges, including attempted purchases from Ledger.com and Crutchfield, plus multiple gas charges. I'm confident it came from here because I didn't use my card anywhere else after getting gas. After that, I learned this wasn't an isolated incident.A friend also had her credit card compromised after getting gas here, in her case, the fraudulent charges showed up on Amazon. Separately, the same thing happened to my husband, on a different day. He paid at the pump, not inside, and his card was still compromised. His card was charged three times, and those charges actually went through (not pending). Same gas station. Different people. Same outcome. I'm not accusing any specific person, but there is clearly a serious credit card security issue at this location, whether it's at the register or at the pump. You can only get free air if you paid for gas. I got gas earlier and on my way home I wanted to pump air in my tires and they needed proof that I got gas to get free air. If not I had to pay to use the machine wven though there's a sign right above it that says California law requires customers access to free air. The only gas station I know that charges for air and the cashiers said it's the owners idea to charge. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

I fill up here for two main reasons: convenience and price. In addition to being the closest gas to where I live, it's usually the cheapest in the area. Located right on San Bruno Ave off the 280, it's super easy to access. Depending on time of day, the line can get pretty long, and even back up on to Shelter Creek as people are turning from San Bruno Ave. Generally people are pretty good about waiting in line and going when it's their turn, however you always have to be mindful of those who don't follow standard common curtesy and will cut you off if you're not paying somewhat aggressive attention. I've had pretty much all positive experiences with the staff any time I go in to buy something. They have a solid size convenience store with a lot of good options for drinks, snacks, coffee, car and home supplies, and more. They are also a "Lucky Retailer" for the CA Lottery, so if you feel like gambling, grab a scratcher or two! It's not always functioning, but when it is, the staff will usually turn on the air/water pump for free if you're nice! read more

Kwik Serv is by far the cheapest gas station in the area and is an easy access from 280. I try to come here if I know I need to fill my tank and not leave it up to the nearest station. If you commute or drive 280 either North or South, you'll know that the gas prices an change from city to city in Peninsula. Sometimes a difference of .50 more a gallon for the same fuel. Also some gas stations may be 5 or more minutes out of the way from the freeway, where as this station is right by the exit and entrance of 280 making it an easy detour from your commute. read more

It's been several months since you've been able to pay at the pump at this location. I was told well over a month ago and it was being fixed. I tried it again today still the same issue. I guess I bothered the cashier from her sitting next to the wall session. She didn't want to answer any of my questions regarding paying at the pump. After one or two eye rolls I left. This is probably the cheapest gas station around the area; if not, it's definitely the most convenient since it's right off the 280 freeways. The prices are always at least .20-30 cents cheaper than most gas stations for regular. It also accepts debit/credit cards without any transaction fees! Prices are incredibly solid compared to most gas stations around. The cashier people are usually very friendly and this gas station is noticeably cleaner than most. The inside has a good amount of beverages and snacks available if you're on-the-go and need some quick energy. I believe this place does close after 10PM though, so make sure you coming during the daytime or the morning. Overall this is my favorite gas station and I'm very lucky to live nearby! read more

This place has really gone downhill since it changed ownership recently. The hot drinks (chocolate, cappuccinos, etc.) from the dispensing machine are watered down to the point where they are just hot water with a little sweetening. This has been the case for several weeks. Horse on me for returning. This was the scene this morning (Saturday): Went in for a Daily Journal Paper. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday editions were on the shelves, but no weekend edition. Outside the front door, was a roll of newspapers in plastic, presumably the weekend editions that had been delivered earlier. Behind the counter, were two very sullen young employees, doing nothing, except looking very sad to be there. Hot drinks were still only hot water. I recommend going to the Econo Gasoline Station up the road instead. Their hot drinks are full octane, their employees at least act like they are alive, and the gas is cheaper. read more

This is my go to gas station. I used to go to Shell. The times that I decide to go are always when there aren't any people which is good because I don't have to wait for a pump. The prices are always right and low so it's reasonable to pump here. I can say for a fact that the prices at Kwik Serv are always cheaper than Shell. Perfect location on my drive home. This is one of the cheapest gas prices that's along my route home at least .30 cents cheaper than other places down the road. There's normally a line but it's never a long wait. The gas pumps also have tv screens that play news or whatever adverts. No frills gas station. read more

Cheapest prices in the area and they take credit card. This isn't some shitty rundown place like other cheap gas stations are either. The pumps are in good shape and they even have window cleaners with cleaning fluid! This is a very convenient gas station located just off 280, making it very convenient for a 280 Peninsula commuter. The prices are usually very competitive with other stations in the area and there are a lot of pumps making it very convenient. Sometimes it can get crowded, especially during commute hours, but it's among the most convenient stations in the Peninsula. Bonus points for not having an upcharge for credit card usage. read more

Cheapest gas prices in the area. Gas prices are the same no matter how you pay for it! The bathrooms suprisingly have always been clean. Sometimes I wish they had hot food, but maybe because 7-11 is across the street? I gave them 4 stars because, I don't know what kind of gas I'm getting? Been going to this gas station for a while now. Typically no issues except when ever I run into Walter. This guy has no manners and is always rude. At best he stands there quietly and that's him at his best. When he talks it's always abrasive and rude. Acts like I'm doing something wrong because I ask him to move. Not sure how long he's been working there now but either he needs to leave or get training on how to act around paying customers. This isn't your hangout place Walter it's work so treat your customers with some respect. This station is super-clean, super-orderly, with huge selection of food and drink. Restrooms are clean and well-stocked. Busy even during off-hours for all those reasons and due also to a staff that truly cares about service. It's inspiring to do business here. Prices are very reasonable--often 20-30 cents less per gallon than other stations in the area. We plan to stop here every trip to the Bay Area, where we go regularly for medical care. read more

I've been coming here for a very long time. The owners are nice the place is clean. They may not have the cheapest gas in town but close to it. The reason why I decided to write a review about this place today was because I had a pretty weird experience yesterday. Aside from getting gas one of the things that I purchased from this KwikServ is my cigarettes and the food that I take with me while I work. Every so often I buy their hard-boiled eggs. Two days ago I happened to purchase two hard-boiled eggs and I parked in the parking lot like I always do to eat. I had a little mishap as I drive one of the big SUVs a Lincoln Navigator. After eating I always walk to the first garbage receptacle by pump 7/8. Because the spot that I parked in is on a slant, when I opened the door because of its weight, it almost slammed into the metal rail on the that side. By instinct, I reached for my door with the hand with a paper towel filled with the eggshells. Well the eggshells dropped on the ground. Unfortunately I have a very bad back and I cannot bend down that low to pick up anything at the level of my feet so I left it there. The next day I came in as usual to get gas and this time a pack of cigarettes so I entered the store. Out of nowhere this tall old white-haired man with glasses talks out loud telling the two ladies at the counter to tell the woman who buys the eggs to make sure that he doesn't find any of the egg shells on the ground outside tomorrow, then with a smirk looking at me. First of all I WAS a regular customer and I've been a customer here longer than you have been an employee there. If you have something to say to your customer then have the balls to tell it to your customers face. No passive aggressive behavior please. You just have to question if you want someone Who obviously holds grudges working there? Do not ever assume that it was purposely done. Other than that isn't it part of your job to keep the grounds clean. I hope the owners read their reviews because this guy needs an attitude adjustment. And we also have a huge Facebook community for drivers (45,000 drivers) in the Bay Area where we all share places to get gas, places to eat, and places to stay away from. Now if his anger is solely directed at me, maybe it's because I'm a brown skinned woman. Then that would be discrimination wouldn't it. That also means you have a prejudice bigot employee whom by the way is HARASSING YOUR CUSTOMER. If he's doing this to me, I wonder how many more of your customers he does this to. All I can say is the next time I come in there, if he makes another comment directed at me, Dave I'm sorry but you're gonna have a big problem. Always acts like I'm bothering him anytime I ask him to do anything like get a pack of cigarettes. It seems like I interrupted him and he now he has to get up so I'm the bad guy. This gas station is charging the $2.00 per pack cigarette tax already even though the law doesn't go into effect until April 1, 2017. They are keeping the profits off of every pack and claiming it's due to the tax. So wrong. I've been a loyal customer for over 30 years. Not anymore. I called to speak with the unpleasant sounding manager who is looking into it. Ummm how about the extra $20 I spent on a carton there believing the workers that the tax was in effect. Robbery.
