The lady on the phone talked to me while I was meandering around the area in my truck on a dark road. Thank goodness!! She was so accommodating! For example: the number of nights I wanted to stay. Minimum is two nights. I was allowed to stay one. After I was assigned to one cabin, she allowed me to stay in a different cabin. Pulling up to park at my assigned cabin my headlights showed 3 deer!! Another times, I saw them from the balcony, several more deer. In fact, they seemed within an arm's reach. The balcony was clean with a covered table, hot tub and a means to charcoal meats. The grill utensils hung along the guard rails. Once inside, it appeared very clean. Every possible amenity was available (except robes or q-tips). Fireplace, cut wood, lighter, microwave, fold out couch, mini fridge, window unit, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, table and 2 chairs, tv, wifi, ceiling fan, towels (request extra if using the hot tub), shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Of course, a large cozy bed! The hot tub is small. My best guess would be that they can accommodate 4 small bodies max. Great jets and very hot water! The showers are so clean and sparkly! The shampoo, conditioner and body soap hang on the wall. All have a very mild scent. It was a perfect get away for me.

We went right at dusk, but I think if it had been truly dark, we could have seen the resort from miles away. ALL. THE. LIGHTS. (And, other decorations.) We were surprised by the amount of holiday cheer that was put up. Lots of inflatables (some quite unique). If you're in the area, I would certainly check it out. There's a donation box at the end if you're impressed.

Many of the full timers have chosen to have Grand Lake RC Resort build them a permanent Tiny Home for their residence. A tiny home meets the Oklahoma State requirement for an RV at 399 square feet. Therefore you pay no property taxes. Obviously if it's not on the road, you also have no need to tag or pay excise tax on the unit. Check with Diana the owner or her son Jedidiah to be certain. Grand Lake RV Resort had two Boat Docks, soon to be 200 slips available. The launch ramp is fresh concrete with parking for up to 50 trailers. GLRVR also has outside or covered storage for boats or trailers. A wash house is on the premises, so you can keep your clothes and bedding clean with several washers and dryers, as well as Men & Women's facilities. Great to use on frigid days we are having on this date with temps in the low 20's. Two pools and a large hot tub are a part of the brilliant planning at GLRVR. The kids pool to take care of their swimming wants and desires. Then they built a GORGEOUS adults only pool with an open bar, huge hot tub, walk in access and water features. As if that's not enough, the park is the only one on Grand Lake with a security gate access. Not even the high dollar Shangrala has security like this. You feel completely safe and at home.
