Great modern venue with excellent food and service. Not your typical banquet hall food, more like a fancy high end restaurant.

Food was OK, unsure if it was from a caterer or not but management or people claiming to be management really need more training. Tried to find water for a senior attending the wedding who was thirsty and was met with some rudeness - apparently the area of the venue wasn't open to the wedding. OK sure, I didn't see any signs saying that but but I politely asked if there was anywhere I could purchase some water at the venue and was just told that the area of the venue wasn't open to the wedding. I've been to weddings at Hamilton and St George's and neither acted like first class jackasses. The staff were always polite and helpful. I wish I could say the same for this place.

The golf course is beautiful and has a large fountain. The view from the main ballroom overlooking the golf course is breathtaking and immerses you when enjoying dinner. After arriving in the main hall, a bartender took our orders for drinks. We entered the banquet hall after taking some pictures with friends and family. The tables were decorared with flowers in the middle. The decor is also very beautiful. Snacks and delicious side dishes were served after everyone was seated. The Margherita Pizza (mozzarella, basil and tomato sauce) was my fav! Bread was also served at the table. The entertainment was great with songs and dancing with the bride and groom. The dj did an amazing job. The service was sub-par but the host was funny and entertaining. The appetizer was Cream of Truffled Mushroom Soup. The soup was average and did not impress. For the main course, I had the Vegetarian selection which was a Grilled Vegatable Tower set on a Bed of Mushroom Risotto Drizzled with Balsamic Glaze. The rice was mush and tasted overcooked. The vegatables were average. My friend had the 8 oz. Roasted Triple A Canadian Prime Rib of Beef with Garlic and Herb Roasted Potatoes with Seasonal Mixed Vegetables and Red Wine Beef Jus. My friend said that the beef was cooked amazing and the vegetables combined perfectly together. The dessert was a Warm Maple and Apple Crumble Tart with Fresh Sauce and Warm Caramel. The tart tasted a amazing and was heaven in my mouth. Other desserts included Fruits Fondue and Vanilla Cakes and Coffee or Tea. Bayview Country Club is an amazing place to party, play golf or talk with clients for a business agreement. I would return again. I recommend this to everyone!

This was my first time attending an event at Village Loft, operated by Oliver and Bonacini. Wow!…read moreThe venue, food, and service were all on point The venue, located on the upper level of a standalone building in the parking lot of Bayview Village, was a warm and inviting space, with brick and wood walls, large windows, and very intimate lighting. We used two of the three available sections and it was more than enough space. The event was a baby shower luncheon and the menu was very appropriate, with a variety of roving hors d'ouevres, salads, sandwiches, and desserts that satisfied everybody's appetite. The salads were all colourful, fresh, and tasty, with a good variety to choose from. The sandwiches - salmon, chicken, pulled pork, and vegetarian - were all delicious, as were the desserts. Personally, I would have preferred a tad less dressing on the salads but maybe that's just me. The service was also excellent, from the moment I walked in and was greeted with smiles by all the staff. Used plates were cleared from the tables very efficiently and the buffet table was replenished quickly. Overall, this was a great experience and a very enjoyable baby shower!

I liked the fact they got an elevator to get us to the 2nd floor, as the venue is there. Then I found out this venue is part of the O&B group, there's a certain aura this venue signifies as well as a standard O&B represents. I like! I like the setup as the food came in the middle, and we serve ourselves. I like that configuration. I can control portion on my own. First came the appetizers and there's risotto ball, and warm salad. Surprisingly they taste quite decent even though it was mass produced. Then the mains came after about half hour and there's all three choices of beef, chicken and fish. So I am not stuck with one. The biggest surprise were the beef and fish. As I mentioned earlier, banquet food tends to flop when it is mass produced. But not here, the beef came out soft and juicy still and the fish actually tasted good. I didn't have chicken as I was full by then. Dessert were homemade doughnut balls and a tiramisu. These were dynamite. I had an extra serving of these wonderful goodies. Overall experience is very nice. Food was good and service is quite good.

So many new restaurants around the movie theatre, its becoming quite the entertainment space with a unique carousel in the centre of it all. Love the little patches of grass and concrete seating in front of the Cineplex which has basically become Luculus' and Cha Time's very own patio. During the day they have tasteful and sturdy tables and chairs here for enjoying your favorite drink. But its intended to be the spot for DTM concert nights or a viewing area for such events. My kids love the steps leading up to this area with the little water fountain. Far enough from the parking lot, that they can roam free so parents can enjoy their snacks worry free and uninterrupted. Cant wait for the continued growth here. Would be nice to see them expand all the way into York University area. It was a long walk to the Indy from DTM with nothing to view along the way on either side of Enterprise Rd. Could use more stores and more variety. All the stores brand new and well maintained.

I go mainly for lap swims, and have found it often very busy. The fast lane is one single lane, medium a double and the slow lane another single lane (4 total). The fast lane tends to get busy quick, and not always the most generous or co-operative people swimming. I find that the morning swims are a bit less congested, and by the evening swims (especially in summer) the pool is quite cloudy and very busy. Not much else in the area for lap-swimming unless you want to get a membership at the YMCA (at bayview and sheppard). So I'd recommend it solely on that basis. If the location makes sense, I'd recommend checking out the 50m Douglas Snow Aquatic Centre at Sheppard and Yonge. It's in a fairly good location - mainly if you can drive. Getting there by bus is difficult (I'd recommend McNicoll bus over Leslie for frequency) Hope this helps!
