Made the trip to North York with my friends to check this place out and needless to say, I am not really a fan. Having been to other claw places such as claw and kitty and KoiClaw, the staffs are much more helpful there. The price is not easy to win, in fact you need to play like 3-4 times in order to win as the claw will just open and drop the toy randomly. This is very annoying as you are basically just having to drop like 12 coins (4 coins per play) in order to get one toy. Therefore you don't end up with many points to exchange for gifts. It just seems like there is zero strategy involved as regardless of what you do the claw will just open before it gets to the prize drop box section until you play it many times. I notice by the 4th try I had done a very bad grab but the claw held tight enough for me to win the prize. Anyways, probably won't be back again as it was not worth it. On top of all of this it was not an easy location to get to. Giving a two star is being generous IMO read more

You know what... After many more visits, I'm starting to like this place a lot more. This place is now my favourite claw machine arcade. So I started frequenting all the claw machine arcades in the GTA and now I can see things more clearly then ever before. So lets talk about OHYO 2 main competitor... CLAW ME BABY is way to popular now and their location is way too small to handle all the people. It smells like sweat with all the people in there and the queue in front of the machines is annoying. CLAW & KITTY suffers from the same problem as Claw me Baby but thankfully their location is a little bigger so it's less annoying. However if you go on the weekend when someone is hosting a birthday it's super packed!! I also don't like how they close so early. OHYO does a lot of things right. Pros - I LOVE how this place is so spacious! Ton's of room to run around and lots of available machines. - Underground parking also makes this place convenient to come on a rainy day. (Free parking after 8pm once the parking attendant goes home for the day or just buy $10 grocery at Loblaws) - Their coin dispensing machine is a time saver! Have you ever line up at Claw & Kitty? The line is like 10min long sometimes! - If you purchase a membership you actually get more value over time with all the free tokens they give you. Their promo are good deal as well. - Employees don't follow you around. When I was bad, I appreciated how the employees at the other claw machine arcade followed me and helped me. Now that I have a better understanding and feel of how the machine works, I don't like the feeling of somebody looking over my shoulder. - Pay attention to their instagram for events! Cons - They really need to get some real official Pokemon plushy. I'm not really interested in the unofficial aliexpress stuff. - Holy moly!! Their machines are rigged!! The claw is always so effing loose!! Even thou, I lose like crazy here, I'm still coming back. Good change of scenery from the other places and at the end of the day its just a source of entertainment on a boring Friday night. With a number of new claw machines opened up in GTA over the past year, I think OHYO is...not bad. For me, there's two things going for OHYO First, is their membership system. If you spend $100 in one go, you can get a VIP card. With this card, during your birthday week, they give you 80 tokens for free. Furthermore, you can also get 15 tokens a month, which is 3.75 plays on their plush machines (obviously, they made it that way). So every 4 months, you'll have enough for 15 games, assuming you physically drop by OHYO once a month to get your free tokens. As a gacha gamer, I have no problem letting my freemogems pile up and then just using it all at once. Certainly not for everyone of course, but I pass by north york centre regularly so it works for me. Second, is their redemption system. For each plushie, you get 2 tickets. However, if you redeem 20 or more plushies, they are worth 4 tickets each. I usually like to bring a group to go for some claw machines as a social event, so for $10 or $20 per person, we should be able to collectively turn in enough plushies to get the double redemption. And you can keep the tickets on your VIP card for future use, so you can just save up your points for something bigger. They are also opening up a new location downtown in Spring 2024, and the membership system applies to both locations, which makes it a bit more accessible for more people. Overall, it's still cheaper to just buy plushies on aliexpress, but as a venue for claw machine socials, it's pretty convenient. read more

Looking for a fun place for kids of all ages.... This is the place to go. This claw machine arcade is so much FUN! It has a variety of different machines with cute plush toys. The plush toys are actually good quality. The price for tokens is pricey.. but what do you expect from an arcade right? You can choose to become a member and bank your left over tokens or plush toys for the future. There are a few attendants who can help you out if you need assistance or have questions about the place. You can even redeem some cool prizes if you win lots of plush toys. We kept on playing one machine because my son really liked the plush toy.. but I kept failing in getting the plush.. this really nice attendant opened up the machine and helped me out.... I think he felt sorry for my son LOL! Thank goodness because I was about to loose it on that machine. Overall a great place to pass the time and have some fun. Highly recommend visiting! read more

This place is probably the worst of all the the claw games type places in the GTA. The reason I say this is purely from experience. At other places my kids have gotten the prize or missed them. I don't expect 100% accuracy here as they are running a business. What's shady is this place allows the grabbing to happen but once the claw moves the prize/toy is dropped. Pretty much rigged. And again I say this only because at other places we"ve been able to get the toys/prizes at about 30-40% success rate. Staff is meh. Decor is roomy and clean. read more

Located right at the entrance to the TTC inside Empress Walk, you definitely will not miss it. The inside ambiance and lighting reminds me of old school arcades. We walked around but did not try any of the claw machines. There were lots of staff walking throughout helping patrons and explaining how the tokens and machines work. We found in the back corner of the arcade, they have a shop called Spare Time. You can redeem tickets for items or just purchase them outright. They have a big selection of blind boxes including LuLu the Piggy. They also carry Studio Ghibli merchandise and paper theatre items!! The prices are market price same as elsewhere but they have nice stock. Will be back for more blind boxes! And maybe try a claw machine or two. Everyone we saw there were winning prizes so the machines should not be too rigged :) read more

Been to this claw machine arcade a couple of times since it's in a pretty convenient location at North York Centre. However that's the only good part as the claws at this place are so weak and does not matter how good your claw machine skills are. The claw releases just before it goes above the chute and takes around 6-7 tries to get the actual plushie based on my own experience and from watching other people playing. An awesome spot for a date night, with instagramy vibes and cute prizing. OHYO Fun opened up their doors around Fall/Winter of 2022. At the time, I had seen their Instagram posts promoting their open and decided to visit as I was always interested in going to a Claw Machine Arcade. When you first visit, the location is kind of hard to find so I'll instruct you how to find it. When you enter Empress Walk on the street from Yonge, on the main floor you'll want to go to the right, into the hall that has an escalator going down. When you go downstairs and take a left you'll see the bright OHYO Fun sign. Upon entry, you'll be met with what I can describe as an exceptionally designed arcade. From the light fixtures, to the decor, to the art installations such as the Silver Mouse character as well as an awesome KAWS-esque Astronaut that you can sit next to and take photos. The process to play games is simple, you go to the cashier where the prizing is in order to purchase a card and load with tokens. I forgot to take a pic of the pricing for tokens but I can say that it isn't the greatest value and can be kind of expensive. I went with the option around $100 that grants you a lifetime membership that offers 15 free tokens every month. An FYI, you must visit every month to get the free tokens as they will not automatically load on. Each game ranges in cost but most are 4 tokens each. As for the machines, it's a claw machine arcade. There will be times you will be outright played by the machine where it'll automatically drop your prizing before getting to the chute. I recommend searching up tutorials on how to win at claw machines before coming, because if you understand prizing placement and claw mechanics you can be like some of the people you'll see at these arcades with carts full of prizes. A little piece of advice, if you win a prize in a machine but want to swap with another prize in that same exact machine, ask an employee and they'll gladly swap it out. Speaking about employees, service here is great, they're well staffed and always willing to help with machines and reorganizing prizing. When you're all set and done, you have the option to swap out the prizes you won from machines, of which each prize is equal to 2 tickets. Prizes for trade-in range and can get pretty high for things such as Anime Figures, Pokemon Plushes, and general jumbo plushies. They also sometimes have specials on trade-ins, such as for the Kirby and Hello Kitty plushes I won as gifts for friends of which only cost me 4 tickets each which is really low compared to other popular characters. Overall, although it might be pricey, I think OHYO Fun is an amazing spot for a date that will makes for an awesome surprise for the person you're taking out if they're into this kind of thing. read more

The staff is pretty non-existent, and unlike other claw machines places, the staff don't really help or move away from the main counter. They just huddle around the front desk and talk amongst themselves. Machines are really difficult to win any prize. The one prize I did manage to win was a toy lamb, but it had a hole in it... Really convenient location at the Empress Walk. It's on the last floor next to the Tim Hortons. They have a lot of prizes which is nice, but honestly I do not think any of it is worth it. It comes out to around $1 per coin, and then each machine is 4 coins per play. It's expensive compared to other crane game places. They started adding food to their crane machines which I thought was interesting. In terms of the figures you can exchange for, be careful because it is a mix of replica and authentic figures. read more

My new favorite arcade. It's a GACHA arcade! Very unique concept. Every stuffed animal you win you can trade it in for points to get bigger prizes! The reason why this place received a 3 star for me is because they charge quite a bit to play one single game, it costs FOUR TOKENS to play and on top of that the cranes seem to drop the stuffed animal seconds after grabbing it securely making it very frustrating to actually win a prize. The prizes are very unique especially for anime lovers but some of them cost WAY TOO MUCH for what it's actually worth, luckily they give you the option to just outright buy the prize with money instead. Overall a fun place but it's a very money hungry business and I don't think it will last too long with the way they charge things. read more

When I spoke to staff back in October why the claws would suddenly open (not the plushie falling on its own), the guy explained that the claws are made that way that you will win every like 3rd time or something. Beware if you are paying by debit. Yesterday I was charged twice within 5 minutes of $22.60 each after the person serving me switched machines, I was under the impression that the first transaction didn't go through . When I realized after checking my account today, it was an experience trying to get that back. I was asked multiple times if I had a credit card to perform the refund despite the original payment method was debit and I didn't have a credit card anyway which I expressed. Apparently it's harder for them to find debit payments than credit card payments in their system, if I didn't have a membership card it would have been impossible to prove that I only asked for $20 worth of tokens. They did refund me in cash in the end but that experience will not be forgotten even with the apology. read more
