I went in today and had a pedicure. The pedicure was great, and the man was really nice. I asked for a polish change on my nails and asked for the specific photo. The lady Jessica doing my nails was very rude and dismissive. I was really nice at first, her attitude was awful. It was supposed to be a good day off work and I got treated like crap. Two stars for the pretty chandeliers. Literally no one in this business speaks English...including the person at the front desk. So this led to the wrong nail shape, my toe being cut and the wrong polish color. I had to get four people involved to have the correct color done. For $46? Nah. read more

Avoid! This has happened here to me twice. The nail tech used the gel polish without curing, for my "regular" pedicure. I wondered about it at the time but since they do not speak English, I didn't ask. I sat for quite a while to dry before leaving, but an hour after I got home the polish was still soft and had been damaged. I researched my hunch and was right. I like the convenient location and if I go on a weeknight, the service is pretty fast. Saturday takes a little longer because they are managing more walk-ins. Lee gave me my recent manicure and I really like the results. They offer water and chocolate while you're receiving services. It is a comfortable and bright environment. Here is what you are seeing in the pictures: 1. I requested cuticle trim and nail bed cleaning. 2. I used two dip colors on my natural nails. Their color selection is excellent. 3. I highly recommend to avoid this salon. I was charged extra to get almond shape for my acrylic fill when they were already almond. My nails look puffy and look like cheap press ons. Everything is a up charge i have never had a nail salon charge me for already shaped nails. Wii is amazing!! He is truly an artist. Wii (aka Tony) has been doing my nails for over 3 years. I recently followed him from Neighborhood Boutique in Vistancia to his new location Grand Nail Salon in Anthem. He and Jessica are now part owners of this beautiful new salon. Grand Nail Salon has 20 super-comfortable massaging pedicure chairs. The decor is bright and cheery. Most importantly, the salon is immaculately clean -- they even run a UV air purification process overnight every night so it smells fresh (and not like chemicals). My french dip and gel pedicure were absolutely amazing. Sterile equipment and tools, and a relaxing atmosphere. I am pretty difficult to impress and never really write reviews but I want to spread the word about just how awesome my experience was with Wii at the new location. read more

UNSANITARY!! BURNED NAILS AND CUTICLES!!! I am not one to complain but I absolutely love Grand Nails and is the only nail salon I will go to in the Anthem area but today I went to get a soak off and I did not receive a soak off! I received the nail technician ripping them off with a nail tip! I have never had this happen to me at Grand Nails and is actually the reason why I go there because they are the only nail salon that will do a soak off! This nail salon is fairly new in the Anthem area which is why I rather go to Grand Nails than any other nail salons in Anthem. I've been to mostly all nail salons in Anthem which is why I am my own Nail Technician. While she was ripping them off she used a drill on the highest speed and burned my cuticles so bad that it ripped my skin off and make it bleed I continuously said "ouch". While she was ripping my nails off with the nail tip I asked if she could do a soak off because it hurts and it ruins my nail beds. She told me that it's a easier way to take them off. This is not the proper way you should be removing acrylic nails and this is the fast and lazy way. Ripping off your nails this way is very bad and makes your nail beds very thin. She seemed like she was in a rush. However there were barley any people in there! As a client we shouldn't have to pay for them to hurt us and cut us! While my nails are being taken off with a nail tip and being burned by the drill she puts my fingers in acetone so it's a lot cooler on my hands so it doesn't burn. However it was just making my nails burn even worse. The whole time it felt like my nails were on fire they were burning so bad. At the end she was shaping my nails with a filer and I realized she didn't use a clean nail filer. This is not sanitary. I am myself a home based Nail Technician so I noticed these small things that were happening and I hate taking my nails off myself which is why I get them soaked off at Grand Nails. After today I will not be going there! As a Nail Technician you should give your clients the best nail treatment and if you accidentally cut them you should at least acknowledge it. Also in no way should you be hurting ur clients. As a Nail Technician sanitation is a big thing in the industry and not using a new nail file is very unsanitary and it makes me think if they even clean there nails tools. Many people may ask why I didn't say anything but I wasn't going to make a scene I already had let her know that she was hurting me and she didn't care to acknowledge it in any way so I jus wanted to go home so I could soak my nails in ice cold water because it felt like my nails were on fire! This is why you should trust your home based Nail Technician I believe they are more sanitary and they will give you the experience you need an want when you want your nails done! This is my third time at the salon and don't think I'll be back. There are a couple women who work here who are so nice, but for the price, my last experience was not good enough to warrant a trip back. From not good cleaning practices, to a live cockroach who almost crawled into my shoe (not totally to blame, but the techs did nothing to remove it...the man who worked there finally killed it after it almost crawled into a lady's purse). The most disappointing thing was the state of my manicure. The pictures are just four days after. I originally didn't want gel, but was pressured into it. Then the man doing my nails wouldn't paint my entire nail making it look like it had already grown out (more work to remove any pain that gets on the skin). I asked him to paint the entire nail and he wouldn't. Rushed through the whole process, didn't fully care for my cuticles, and now it's fully chipping everywhere after just four days. However she received oil on her legs and feet, cuticles trimmed, and hot towel on legs. I on the other hand was done on five minutes. She was there when I arrived and there when I left. The shop is gorgeous and friendly employees and their kids. However with that said, I'm not confident about the sterilization process of their tools. I saw one of the employees kids (who help out in the shop) just run some tools under water and put them back in the tray. They were not put into a sterilization bag and autoclaved. Although the lady who did my manicure was rushed, she did a good job and followed up when I was getting my pedicure to make sure I was happy. I appreciated that. My pedicure. I didn't want to spend money on #2 I just wanted a simple pedicure ($31) so I didn't appreciate the upsell. Everything was fine up until the polish. Polish was was sloppy. The younger lady told the older lady to add another coat, because she could see the streaks. I appreciated that, however when the younger lady walked away the older lady told me that it was okay. At that point I was done. It was my first visit and I don't know if I'll be back. For $77 ($36 for gel/$41 pedi) I feel as if the services could have been much better. read more

I read the reviews and thought this was a good place to come and now I regret it. I usually go to 2 different salons but this was closer. I called ahead of time to set an appointment and arrived 5 minutes early. I walked in and was not greeted. The receptionist just looked at us and then Then I was told to go around the counter and sit and the nothing. I asked the older man where do we sit and he pointed to a few seats next to him. There was someone's purse there and he kept telling us to sit where the purse was. Then the lady whose purse it was , she asked me to move her bag and Instead of the nail tech getting up to move the bag. So we sat and waited 15 minutes and no one had said anything to us. There was 2 girls sitting behind me and one didn't even get her nails done because it was slow service. So they left. On their way out they stopped they told them they could do the nails now but they still Decided to leave. Finally someone asked us about our nails. And we just decided to leave. On the way out he is asking to stay so he could do them almost. I won't ever come back they are rude and for more than 4 people to walk out is unacceptable read more

If I could leave a negative 1 star review I would. I went in asking for a specific number(color) and she grabbed the wrong one. I told her again which color I wanted but she continued to proceed with the one she initially grabbed. i'm pretty new to getting my nails done, and when they do a good job here, it's great. however, it's almost always left to one tech to fix the others mistakes. on top of that, it's not cheap, the quality of work should be more consistent for the price point, but it's incredibly hit or miss. BUT the main reason i won't be returning is because after i went with my mom, a tech walked out and literally drove away after she asked him a question about her nails. i understand having a bad day at work, it happens to all of us, but he made my mom cry and that's not okay. read more

I called a few days in advance to make appointments for pedicures for my friend & I. We arrived on-time, & ended up waiting 30 minutes l before we were even seated. After that, it took an additional 10 minutes for me & 15 minutes for my friend to even have someone come over to start. My person did a decent job, while my friend's experience was awful. Fast forward 2 days - I look down at my big toe to see that it's extremely swollen & red. Hopefully soaking my foot in Epson salt & using bacitracin will fix it. I came here with my mom. She got a pedicure and I requested a manicure (dip). The guy who did my mom's pedicure was kind, funny and very engaging. Her pedicure looked great! The THREE women who finally finished my "manicure " were exactly the opposite. Despite their advertising television at the check in desk, I did not get a manicure, I got a polish change. The woman who removed my polish didn't speak (to me) except to ask what color polish I wanted and handed me a chart. After she started the process, a second woman showed up. She finished removing the polish using a nail file grinder or whatever it's called. It not only takes off the polish but also the top of my nail, leaving it thin and vulnerable. Then she started polishing my nails. The third woman took over. While polishing she had me use the UV lamp. Their advertising also says "dip polish" without UV.These women all talked among themselves and never to me. If I go back I'll find the guy who knows how to speak English and does his job exceptionally well! Meanwhile, if the rest of the staff can't (or won't) speak English, maybe they should put a sign on the door to warn folks. read more

Treated horribly. Pedicurist slammed my feet in water, on the foot pad, was bossy and condescending, and dumped the callous removals INTO MY WATER where my feet were!! The scrub for my lower leg lasted just over a minute and she only scrubbed my ankles. Then she "tossed" the glass bowl of extra scrub right on top of my feet in the water. Did I mention my friend and I had an appt yet were seated 35 minutes late? Took another ten minutes for someone to start working on my friend. Mine took another ten minutes before she decided to come over- only when I briefly walked out to the parking lot to get something from my car. Too expensive for that kind of treatment and a mediocre pedicure, at best. Do not waste your time or money to be treated this way. read more

My mother in law and I went here for full sets for a wedging, we both had a great experience. This was the first time in a long time that didn't have to touch my nails or fix anything, they were perfect. On top of that our tech, who I believe may be one of the owners did amazing nail art at no cost for trying them out. She was kind, professional and took great care of us.
