Well, I am officially a dipper! When in Texas I experienced my first dip procedure and loved it! With that, it had been three weeks, but my nails still looked amazing, only thing is the color was growing away from the cuticle. Well, if that is the only issue with having dipped nails, then I'm on board! So, I made an appointment with Anthem Nails & Spa by Sarah. Really nice establishment. I requested the full set manicure in the dipping powder and the Essential pedicure. The pedicurist was BeBe, she did an amazing job, the hot rocks that she used while massaging my legs created such relaxation and my pedicure came out really, really nice. Theresa, was the manicurist and she created a very beautiful and clean look. I chose a lighter color this time and I was very pleased. I would recommend the nail dip procedure and I will be returning to this facility again. APrevious to my move to Arizona I had the same nail salon for over twenty years. So, I am glad to say the least to have found a new long time establishment. read more

Not even one star did I want to give this place but Yelp made me give it at least one to review. My daughter wanted her acrylic nails removed and a manicure. They did not soak the nails for removal they just tore them off of her nails. My daughter's nails are so sore she can hardly hold a pencil to write today. Once the employee tore off her nails she did a quick manicure painted the clear coat and handed my daughter her check and told her to go. Her nails were not even dry and therefore ruined every single one. When your daughter calls you crying after an appointment you know it was horrible. I'm new to Anthem I have asked around about this location and so far I have heard three similar experiences with them. read more

Have come here a few times but this last time was terrible. I get an acrylic fill in the same color every time I come in they've been decent up until this last time. Pretty much all my nails have lifted or are chipped, one completely popped off of my finger. The cuticle area is VERY jagged and very messy. Most workers are nice but one gentleman was very demeaning and was telling me that the other girls are salon don't know what they're doing which is not professional at all. I have came here a few times when visiting my mom in Anthem. I would say i've had a pedicure here about 3 different times. My mom really likes pedicures and always wants to take me! Every time we visit, they are very quick to have us seated. We usually go in the mornings of the weekday. My last visit there was an issue with my big toe nail looking strange after it dried. The shape and color was off. I went in the next day and they quickly fixed it immediately at no charge. I appreciated that they did this and would come back again next time i'm in town. The employees aren't very chatty - not a big deal i'm usually on my phone anyways. Nice selection of colors to choose from. I usually just get the basic packages but my mom loves the upgraded pedicures here. Would definitely recommend this shop. read more

Went in for a manicure over the weekend and had this happen with the cuticle cutter. I understand mistakes happen and it's normal to get a nick here or there but this was way too far. It was very painful and put me at risk of infection. The man who did it did not once apologize. The person who was doing my moms nails was nice and offered to finish my gel polish but it was a bit messy. I won't ever be going back nor would I recommend this salon. read more

I'm not sure if it's because I'm old or lazy or a combination of the two...but getting a pedicure is sure easier than bending over to clip my toe nails. (Okay...so maybe I should have added "overweight" to my list of reasons. ) I stopped in without an appointment and was served by Jenny. She appears to be one of the more mature staff....although certainly not as "mature" as my 65 year old self! Incredible, relaxing, and apparently very sanitary. Many of their tools are prepackaged and then thrown away. The metal tools are sanitized after each use. A new plastic liner is placed in the basin before each appointment. Although the guy next to me was challenging me to get color to match my shirt I opted to stay Mr. Natural. read more

I wanted to post a positive review about Anthem Nails and Spa and was shocked to see so many poor reviews. Well if you're contemplating using this salon I will share my experiences (3 visits & one more next week). The salon is clean, nicely decorated, a lot of staff, safe and they use quality materials. I think they have around 12 stations and 12 pedicure seats. My first visit was in January of this year because my friend gave me a $50 gift card for Christmas. I made an appointment and was taken care of right away by manicurist Ken. I couldn't be happier with his work. He is friendly, positive, professional, speaks good English and does meticulous manicures, gels and pedicures. He is also an interesting conversationalist and knows his history. I look forward to each visit and wonder what the topic will be. Another bonus is that his wife work there too. They're two peas in a pod - the same in so many ways - talented nail techs. She did my nails once when I called at the last minute and Ken was booked up. I was equally impressed the gel she did for me and I asked her to select a good color for me and I loved it. She was too upset/non confrontational to say anything but this is kinda ridiculous, I'm colorblind and can barley draw a stick figure but I'm pretty sure I could've done a better job. Truly awful service. Double dipping customers and when asked about it, lying straight to my face. Your telling me your dipping my hands in this huge tub that's labeled and saying I'm the only one.. that's a lot of dipping powder for one customer. After she lied, she was dismissive of everything I asked. Other lady took over after the first one walked away in a huff after I adjusted the nail lamp from shining in my face. Just adjusting for my personal comfort ability and she didn't like that? I'm at a loss. Showed my picture and design, totally disregarded, messy lines, crooked shaping and when asked to adjust, just exhausted behavior about adjustments. Went to pay and express how I felt and she said why didn't you say... I did and the angry reactions were enough to not push further... I showed you the photo. I don't expect to walk into a professional nail shop and have to monitor every single paint stroke that it's straight and filled in evenly and all the way. The woman got angry and confrontational when we got to the cash register and I politely showed her my nails and told her I was unhappy but was on a time crunch. Again, hostile and angrily asked why I didn't say anything... I DID. I said, I don't want to be yelled at and have a huge confrontation, asked her name and she waved me away saying to get out and walked away telling. I remember her telling another customer that her name was Sarah. My sister got an infection from them double dipping customers here. Nothing wrong with adjusting your experience and making sure you're comfortable and taken care of health wise. I've never had anyone tell me out of a store for expressing my experience with service, especially when I'm entering a nail shop expecting a certain look or result. Definitely not sure why I was gaslit up and down about the experience, but if you want nail professionals who view and remember your photo and will give you what you're asking and paying for, don't go here. I should have listened to the reviews... I was at their salon on 09/19/19. I called ahead to get pricing on an acrylic mani and regular pedi. The woman on the phone (I believe the owner) said that the total would be $40. That's not too bad right? So I arrived and they started me with a young girl who did my pedicure. I noticed that she pulled her instruments from a dirty box.. So I thought, ok... Just as long as she doesn't cut me it should be ok, I don't want to cause a sene.. All was good until she ripped a hang nail without a heads up... there it was. Blood. Fast forward past the manager telling me it was going to be $52 for the mani acrylic and pedi.. to today, I have now developed an infection on the toe that they cut. Update I just went back. After making an appointment Jenny no longer works there. However they told me I would have Tracy who was also very good and when I arrived I did not get Tracy I got someone named Lo I think Pedicure was fine but when I came to the nail if I got a color that I thought was a very light pink and once it was on I did not like it and I asked for a white top coat which she said she could do and then at the end she didn't do anything and when I asked for a white gel topcoat to make it a lighter color than what it had come out as she kept saying sorry next time. It makes me mad to spend so much money and not get the result I wanted. Never going back again because she never tried to make it right. Got my nails done yesterday and just walked right in expecting a wait, however there was no wait and I was taken to the pedicure chair right away after picking my color. My technician Je was great we talked the entire time and she did a great job on my toes and then moved to do my nails. I have had the dip powder 3 times and didn't see what all the hype was about. After telling her this she said explained why she liked it and offered to do a gel top coat. When she was done I was in love with my nails and my toes were completely dry as well as my nails since the gel top coat instantly sets. Best experience I have ever had!! Me and my husband came here for 2 pedicures and let me just save you the time and money and say that NO ONE should ever come to this establishment! They are rude as hell! Then she pawned me off on a male employee to do an SNS mani. Bloody cuticles. Didn't bother to wipe the dripping blood off of one nail AND put topcoat over the blood. I come here because it's close to my house. My normal go to is in Scottsdale. The pedicures are nice and worth the price. I'm not a huge fan of their dip powders. They don't shape my nails how I ask, and they take a very long time. Not sure if it's the quality of the powder they use, but my nails don't last as long as they do being done at my normal place. Dip powder selection is OK... recently also got my eye brows waxed here & im not sure if the wax is old or unusual brand. I broke out around my brows after, never had it happen before. So that was disappointing. Not a bad place, just eh in my book. read more

Every time I come in with an appointment they sit you at a chair, even though they are too busy to take you. They sit you for 30 plus minutes instead of saying come back, or not scheduling the appointment to begin with. This time, again, you could easily see people waiting and waiting, and not enough staff to manage it. This has happened several times for me, and I'm not going to sit there endlessly, when it is obvious you haven't managed appointments. This time I didn't bother waiting long, left and I'm not coming back. Quit being greedy and tell people you can take them when you clearly can't. read more

Absolutely do not go here. This was the most unfriendly and unpleasant experience I've ever had!!! I just wanted a toe polish change on my toes, was upsold a pedicure, then got a completely rushed pedicure with absolutely no effort put into it. There was no point in even getting the full pedicure, they just wanted me to pay more. Not to mention, the lady that did my toes burned me with hot stones & didn't even say sorry: she didn't say anything! She was extremely unfriendly. Another lady was doing my nails at the same time. I asked as soon as I walked in if they could do what I was wanting (flames) & they said yes. They turned out sooo bad & nothing like the picture. She also proceeded to tell me when we were about done that I needed to have longer nails for what I wanted & a different shape. That would have been nice to know before she started doing them?! This was the worst nail experience ever if I could give a zero I would! I honestly think my 11 year old sibling could do a better job at giving me a full set. The whole experience was just awful from the start. I showed the guy that did my nails a photo of what I wanted, shape and everything. He started by just applying the tips, he didn't even cut my cuticles down. Then after he applied the tips he started to apply the gel and it was so runny. He had to put like 3 layers on each finger because he couldn't get it right. While he was filling down to make it smooth he then cut my finger and it wouldn't stop bleeding. At this point I was so over it. Once the nails were ready for color he started to apply the white and it was clumpy as shit but he just kept applying. It looked even worse because he did no shape to the nails. I asked for square nails with rounded edges and I got fucking Easter eggs‍ at the end of it I made him redo the white and it was awful again and super bumpy but I was already there for 2 hours and fed up by this point so I left. Classic pedicure is pretty good! I decent massage and loved the hot rock (wish it was longer). Not very impressed with how they painted my toes. Paint was on cuticles and she didn't fully remove dark polish from before and I got a light color so is showing through. The lady next to me noticed though so they went bad and fixed all of them. If I could give negative stars I would. My 14 year old daughter got her acrylic nails here, which were fine, so when she needed them taken off for volleyball we went back to have them removed. HUGE MISTAKE!!! Instead of soaking them off like a reputable salon they pried them off with another acrylic nail!!! Of course this caused a lot of pain and damage. Her nails were totally ruined. The nail they used to pry them off cut her actual nail on several fingers, causing them to bleed. Unfortunately I wasn't watching what they were doing, I assumed they would be soaked off because that's how I read the nails would be removed. I was charged $10 for something that should have never been done. As soon as we walked out my daughter burst into tears because her nails hurt so bad. I called several other nail salons and found one that could fix her nails, thank goodness. Hopefully this review can save someone else the pain of what we went through. read more

Went in for a basic manicure. I have naturally strong nails so didn't want the gel. I told them just the basic and they asked me 4 times if I wanted the gel. I know it's an up sale for them but it was getting rather annoying. Anyway, if you're looking for a relaxing experience don't go here. They rush you thru so fast I started to feel anxious. They don't take their time on the polish so I had gaps, spots where they didn't brush the top coat down to the sides of the nail. My wife and I were quoted a price for my daughter's nails. We left her and they charged her twice the amount quoted. I went back to speak with the owner and he said that he needed to call the owner. He pretended to call someone. I waited for him to finish his pretend conversation and I asked to talk with them. He then admitted that he was the owner.
