Ten of us had great dinners. The blackened ahi Tuna was the best I've ever eaten. Came with two sides

The septic is one flush away from failing entirely, and backs up into the bathrooms of the rentals quite often. I'm talking raw sewage in your bathtub folks. Maintenance is a joke, the guy spends his days riding around on his golf cart with a travel mug full of beer, trying to look busy so he doesn't actually have to work. When he does actually do something, after having to ask upwards of ten times, it's half assed and done improperly and takes him several attempts over several weeks time to finish, and that's when he's not hiring and paying some idiot $10 to do it instead. The manager is a rude, uneducated, witch. She will knock on your door to cuss you out, accuse you of things you did not do. She talks badly about all the residents, telling everyone's business to anyone who will listen. Her and the maintenance guy lie and steal money from the office/store. They go behind the owner's back, collecting rent money and putting it in their pockets. Then they tell the owner that person didn't pay, and they get evicted! The store/office is horrendous. 90% of the products on the shelves are out of date. The manager is aware, but refuses to take them off the shelves. They chain smoke inside the store all day long, so everything you buy smells and tastes like an ashtray. It's a shame because the actual owner is very nice and tries to keep the place looking nice. Management tells him what he wants to hear to pacify him, but if he really knew what went on, I'm pretty sure I know 2 people who would be out of a job.

There isn't a complimentary breakfast, which would greatly improve the hotel amenities. The hotel has very friendly & accommodating staff. The hotel's lobby, restaurant and pool/hot tub are all very nice. However, the rooms are SO outdated! Especially disappointing for the nightly $$$. Even the suites weren't updated. They appear to have an old design and don't think they have ever been updated! Our room didn't have any clothes dressers, so we lived out of our suitcases. The bathroom had a nice large mirror and the shower water pressure was wonderful with a double headed shower-head. However, the bathroom didn't have a bathtub or a bathroom fan, so the bathroom gets extremely foggy when taking a shower. The magnifying mirror in the bathroom has a very low wattage bulb, so you can't see very well when using it. In summary, the hotel is in a good location, nice pool & hot tub, good Caribbean food in the restaurant and friendly staff. For the cons, outdated rooms without dressers, no bathroom fan, & no breakfast served onsite.
