Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by this place after reading the reviews. I came here on a…read moreWednesday night as I was staying in town for work. I was exhausted so I didn't really plan to leave my room once I checked in. I arrived around 430pm and was greeted by the nice woman at the counter. She quickly checked me in and offered me two waters. She directed me to my room which was down the hall. The lobby was spacious and clean. It was organized, but not overcrowded. They had a little convenience store that you could make purchases at as well as conference rooms on the left. They also had a small gym on the first floor, not far from where I was staying. I checked in and went directly to my room. The temperature in the room was great. I usually will walk into an ice bucket so I was grateful this was not that. I set up my computer and started to work some more. The room was clean, well lit, and quiet. Even though I was right next to the parking lot, I barely heard a thing. I ordered door dash & the front desk called me to let me know it was there. They provided silverware when I needed it to. The only reason I gave it less than 5 stars was because one of the towels was a little dirty (could have just been permanently stained), the shelf in the shower also had dirt on it, and breakfast in the morning was eh. If they fixed those few things, I think this place would easy be a 5 star stay in the villages for me.

So I came back to the hotel at around 2am and the front doors were closed with a security sign that…read morestates for security use the reader on the left where there was none then on the right was a reader and did not activate with my room key. There was a phone there to call the front desk which I did and the doors opened. The woman who was at the front counter was very rude and unprofessional. I engaged in conversation with her about my experience at the front door and asked her if it was me or the signs did not make sense. As I was talking to her and being that I use hand jesters when talking she states don't point your finger at me. I was like I never pointed my finger at her but was just animated with hand jesters in talking with her but she just came out rude in the way she she told me as a guest at the hotel not to point a finger at her which I would never do and I was not in anyway accusing her of anything but literally having a conversation with her. She got up in arms like I was pointing a finger at her and I told her I did not in anyway point a finger directly at her personally. Well let me tell you she insisted that I did and that did not sit well with me because I am not that kind of person. I don't know if she was angry because I woke her out of her nap or what ever but it was in no way to treat a paying guest of the hotel. Please council this night attendant on how to engage with guests as I found that very unprofessional way to interact with a guest who was just having conversation. Again I was taken aback when she said don't point your finger at me when I was just engaging in conversation with her I'm not an accusatory manner but for her to accuse me of something I did not do perturbed and in sensed me to a point that I just had to walk away and stew in anger as the way I was accused.

I have to be honest, I don't know if Delaney's Hotel is considered a hidden gem, but hidden?…read moreAbsolutely. If you don't follow your GPS like it's the voice of God, you'll drive past this place at least 10 times wondering if you're being pranked. Once you finally find it, though, you're in for a surprise. The hotel is attached to a magnificent steakhouse and gives off this classy vineyard-patio vibe that makes you feel like you're about to attend a wine tasting, even if you're just there for work like I was. Walking up, there are beautiful outdoor tables with glass tops where guests can relax, eat, and pretend they're important. Then you walk into the lobby and BAM dark wood floors, elegant furniture, comfortable sofas, and enough atmosphere to make you wonder, Wait what did I accidentally book? I was honestly concerned I'd somehow clicked the wrong hotel and was about to max out my credit card. Nope. Surprisingly affordable. The room? Fantastic. You've got a Keurig machine ready to fuel your caffeine addiction, a nice big TV, all the amenities you need, and then there's THE BED. Listen, I don't know if it's a pillow-top, a cloud-top, a Sleep Number, a NASA mattress, or if angels personally fluff it every afternoon, but that thing is dangerous. I laid down for what felt like five minutes and woke up the next morning. I slept harder than a newborn after a bottle. Now let's talk about room service. They have this little stand where you order directly from the steakhouse downstairs. I ordered dinner, expecting hotel prices that require a small bank loan. The bill was $35. I nearly called the front desk to report a pricing error. Meanwhile, I was hungrier than a hostage, and they delivered a meal fit for royalty. For a brief moment, I genuinely felt like a VIP. The hotel also has a nice bar for those who enjoy a drink. I don't drink, but if I did, I probably would've celebrated finally finding the entrance. Bottom line: great atmosphere, beautiful property, comfortable rooms, amazing food, affordable prices, and a mattress that may have supernatural powers. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. Would I still need GPS to find it? Also absolutely.

Very pleased about the ceiling fan in the room. Honestly one of the cleanest hotel rooms we've experienced, even compared to more expensive stays. Very spacious room too. We ate at the restaurant on site which was also very good.
