This place is THE BEST. This might be my favorite dog park ever. There is a very large, small dog section where there are lots of small dogs for my boy to play with on the weekends. There's also a other side where all dogs are welcome. Both sections are huge, grassy, and have a little bit of shade. My favorite part of this dog park though is that there are enclosed trails where you can hike and have your dog off leash. My dog goes crazy and has the best time ever running around like a silly goose in this area. People are really friendly and do a good job of watching their dogs and cleaning up after them from what I've seen. It's only a 20 minute drive from downtown Grand Rapids and is absolutely beautiful. read more

I love this dog park! I take my dogs here just about every weekend. Lots of room for them to run around and a great drinking fountain for them as well. Grass and path are groomed well. Double gate to enter and exit. Tons of parking available and a bathroom on site. There is also a dog washing station which is such a great perk! read more

Grand Ravines is an incredible dog park in the Grand Rapids area. This is our go-to dog park for when we're out on the west side of the state because of how clean, organized, and functional it all is. Definitely beware of the spring/fall times and/or any times soon after a rainy day or two though, dogs will DEFINITELY get muddy here. But what's awesome is that there is a whole dog washing station right at the front of the park as well where you can go and wash your dogs before having them get in the car, so I really can't complain! This park is free and split into both a small dog and large dog area. Both the small and large dog areas are MASSIVE though. Normally there's like a drastic difference in size between the small and large dog area, but at Grand Ravines, there is literally no difference, and I appreciate that for my medium-sized dog. :) The landscaping is always pristine and there are also additional walking paths that go around the fenced in play areas and go into the woods behind the dog park as well if you want to do that with your dogs too. I can't rate for a dog but it looks like a fun place to meet and make new dog friends! I do know the trails behind the dog park are my go-to place for a peaceful walk! Today I completed a 4.5 mile walk/run along paved and unpaved paths through lush green trees and rolling fields. The breeze rustled the leaves and made the wildflowers come to life as I ran past. The suspension bridge over a deep ravine sways and moves underfoot and transports you out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Keep following the trails and you'll find interesting informative overlooks discussing local foliage and the history of the area. I particularly enjoyed the path following the river complete with a covered bridge! What a lovely getaway! The bathrooms are clean and there are benches to rest throughput the trails. Do be prepared for some muddier areas after a rain. read more

One of the nicest dog parks I've ever been to. The facilities are immaculate. Everything seems to fresh and new. There is a large field for dogs to go off leash, and then trails to walk outside the fenced in area. We did the 1 mike loop that goes to the suspension bridge. It was awesome! If in the area, I'd go back in a heartbeat. For how nice it was, it wasn't overly crowded either! read more

For the most part there are responsible owners. It's a large and well kept park. It does get muddy easily but there is a shower station.

The best dog park there is. Water dog fountains, cleaning stations that are reasonable, and a fenced in off lead wooded trail. Cant find a better spot! read more

I'm certain that this will be a five-star destination when it's complete. Right now--it's badly in need of some shade. The construction trucks were also a bit loud. The off-leash trail (on the right) was fun--I was careful to check for ticks when leaving, though! The grass was so high. We'll try again in fall when it's cooler. read more

This is by far the nicest public dog park in the GR area! They have great upkeep and great amenities. There is so much space for our pups to run around and enjoy their time off a leash. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because some people need to read the rules posted outside the park before they bring their pups in. We gladly donate to this dog park. REMEMBER FRIENDS- your dog should be done with all parvo shots before you bring them into any public place! Protect your puppies! read more

We love coming to this park. We also like the trails behind it that lead to the grand river. We are willing to make the 40 minute drive, The issue is the last four times we've been here over the last couple months it's awful. They have the option to alternate play areas but don't switch often enough. We were there for about five minutes and I'm covered in mud: my coat, shoes, leggings and of course my doggo (no big deal there). I just don't understand why they don't alternate parks more often. The best park I've ever been to. They have multiple closed off areas for big and small, as well as a great off leash trail area for you and your dog to explore the woods. This is an absolutely wonderful place to take your dog for a walk or to let them get some energy out. There are indoor restrooms and vending machine and even a dog wash station. There are drinking fountains, benches, and pavilions around the property. There's nice paved areas to walk and also extensive nature trails nearby that are dog friendly. I went here for my prom pictures and they ended up looking great! There is a cute red shed right near the entrance, and then in the back there is a long bridge as well.
