This is one of our favorite dog parks to go to. My dog loves it there! Its big enough for many big dogs to run around and play together. They also have water available for the pups and benches for adults. Theres a small dog park area which is separate. The best part is this park is free!! There is mulch and when it rains it can get muddy and your pup may require a bath afterwards (speaking from experience). read more

Okay guys. I almost don't want to brag about this place because I know how crowded good dog parks can get. But, it'd be selfish of me to not share this park with you. Hillcrest is such a good dog park!! I have a big tall hunting (in nature) hound pit mix who cannot be trusted in short fences... we've homeward bounded it a few times in his short (not even two years) of life. Lord, help me! We loved the tall fences and felt super secure in the HUGE fenced in area. There are many trees and stumps for dogs to stand on and play around. Many benches and picnic tables for comfortable sitting and resting for owners. Kind dog lovers have brought stainless steel drinking bowls that are scattered about the park. Also, there seemed to be two different fenced dog areas... I'm assuming maybe one for small dogs and one for big dogs? I highly recommend this place read more

If my dogs could have a Yelp (wait: can they?!?) they would give this place 5 stars! Located near the Hillcrest community garden, by Fulton and Fuller, is the Hillcrest dog park. Set back from the road, there is two large fenced areas for big dogs and little dogs. Covered in wood chips with an occasional dirty tennis ball hidden in, pooches can run free and sniff each other's butts in exhilarating freedom. It's free to stop by but please pick up your doggie's doo to keep it clean for others. read more

I like that the park as a little dog section; my puppy loves to go and she is so excited when we get there. People are super respectful and pick up after their doggies like they should. My only request is that the park update the lawn; it isn't very nice. read more

Close to home, and always some dogs to pal around with. Plenty of stray tennis balls. A good, enclosed run for your pooch. Make sure you bring poop bags and water! 12/26/17; My dog was attacked by a pit last Saturday. Watch out for a white/beige pit bull! Required a vet visit and meds for a bad bite! read more

Overall a great park. I give the dog owners a bad review though. I've experienced aggressive dogs with owners sitting idly. And one time someone dropped their aggressive dog off and left the park for about 30 minutes, in that time the dog hurt two other dogs and went number two and the owner wasn't there to monitor or clean up. On another occasion there was a very large dog jumping in my face and the owner was just sitting on her phone. Unfortunately this has made me apprehensive to return. read more

Nice, large fenced in area covered in woodchips for dogs to run and mingle. Split sides for bigger dogs and smaller ones. Most people are pretty good about cleaning up after their pets, and keeping them in check when things get a little too crazy between pups. There's plenty of water dishes, and jugs for refilling. But it's always good to have a travel watering bottle/tray on hand if you own one - and I definitely recommend bringing doggy bags for clean-up (I've noticed they've been out on more than one occasion). Overall a really nicely maintained park to let your pup exercise & socialize. read more

I've been twice so far, and both my dogs and I love it! The dog owners there are very courteous and clean up after their animals, refill the water bowls, and will diffuse any tense situations between dogs. The park has two areas--one for large dogs and another for small dogs. The area for big dogs is much more spacious, and usually much more full. (Note: I have a 21lb. dog who thinks he's 60lbs., and he gets along just fine with the big kids.) Lots of areas for owners to sit and chat. So far, everyone I've met there has been very nice and will even play with strangers' dogs, which makes for a very warm and welcoming environment. There's a constant stream of dogs in and out, which is great if you are trying to socialize your dog. There are also complementary doggy bags, and lots of balls left around the park. All in all, it's a great little place, and I plan on bringing my dogs every week. read more

Also, it has more tennis balls than that creepy old pro you hired to fix your daughter's service game so that hundred dollars you paid for the full-page yearbook picture of her in her tennis gear wouldn't go to waste. Poop bags are supplied by the park so you'll have to find another use for your massive collection of Meijer bags. Also, also, there're normally a few hot girls there so that's nice. Overall 10/10. This park is awesome for large or small dogs. We always take our Boxer/Shepherd mix and 99% of the time it is a great and fun experience for us both. There are endless amounts of tennis balls around and plenty of water for the pups. My dog hasn't had any problems with any of the breeds that go to the park from Pitbull's to Corgi's. Most owners know how their dogs play and what dogs they can play with. If a poor owner comes it ruins the experience completely. Hopefully when you go all of the owners will be the smart owners that typically frequent the park. The only warning I would give would be if a man with an overweight black lab is there don't bother going in. If your dog or any dog gets near his dog he will shout at them to "Get away from him" or will get very aggressive. I wouldnt recommend trying to talk with him as he is quite aggressive and isn't friendly at all and why he goes to a dog park when he doesn't want his dog to play with others I don't know. Also as an owner please just be aware and know whether your dog is playing well or isn't. It shouldn't be everyone else's responsibility when your dog is the one causing trouble. Overall I absolutely love this park and the majority of the time it is great. read more

ALWAYS nice to have a dog park in the area. This park has two, fenced-in areas. One for the small dogs and one for the larger breeds. Well shaded by large trees, plenty of sitting benches, and doggie baggies provided. Minimal grass though, almost all wood chips, so wear gym shoes/sneakers/boots as I had trouble walking the perimeter in flip flops. read more

Very very muddy this time of year! Seems like a nice enough dog park though for being free. The smaller dog side seems less muddy than the big dog side. Hopefully it dries up when the weather gets warm. read more

I do not like this place I never have a good time! This place is only good for big dogs not small dogs. The small dog area looks sad and is super small compared to the big dog area! Then the people there are not always friendly if you have a small dogs. It's like they are belittle you for this! This is a wonderful little park. Free and has bags to cleanup after your dog. The only issues I have ever had were with people not following the rules and not immediately removing their aggressive dogs. Gets a bit muddy if the wood chips get too packed in the ground but overall a fantastic neighborhood amenity. read more
