In his defense, he didn't know that it was included. Baked cod was hard and tasted awful. Fast forward to last night's order (same order as the previous one but I got the cod battered). I walked into the dining area to pick up since getting a bartender to acknowledge me was fruitless. I told the waitress my name after waiting nearly 10 minutes and she rudely told me to go pick it up at the bar. I told her I ordered online and already paid so she told me to hang on. Another good 5 minutes goes by and a different waitress brings me a pizza and 1 Styrofoam container. I checked it and told her it was supposed to come with a salad. She rolled her eyes and finally ended up bringing it out. Well, the battered fish was doughy so I only ate the actual fish. They have certainly lost my business. So much for trying to support local businesses.

The Brie had some limp, mixed lettuce as a garnish (that should have been a clue as to the level of attention the kitchen pays to presentation). Further, there wasn't any melted Brie in there, but there was Brie rind. The onion mushroom soup was salty, and all the onions and mushrooms were invisible, having been pulverized into the broth. The servers brought the food out like they were dropping a book on the table. One of the salads ordered, was not delivered with the rest of the food- not sure if the waitress of the kitchen screwed that up. The drinks were okay- they were the only thing not sub-standard. I'm giving this 2 stars because the building interior is historic and beautiful, the chairs were comfortable, and the cocktails were fine. It would be a nice place to have pre-dinner cocktails, but I strongly suggest you go somewhere else for your dinner.

A holiday staple Living in the Rockford area…read more My Family has been visiting for as long as I can remember and we always have a good time. We always meet our close friends and their family. A tradition that started with 4 or 5 of us and has grown to 8. We have not actually bought a Tree from there in years (They're Overpriced) but our friends always do, they love the tradition of cutting their own tree, their oldest son has taken on the responsibility, something he is very proud of. There is obviously MUCH MUCH more than just trees though, Our kids love the animals, santa, snacks, and shops. We always bring a few adult beverages to chat around the outdoor firepits, spend quality time together roaming the property, petting the animals, indulging their delicious foods and making new memories. Seems like the majority is Frazier but we went pine this year for the first time. Loved the different areas spread all over to cut your own. They even have atvs driving around to take your cut tree to the shake station. If you have little kids there's some fun stuff and they have drinks and food. Happy we ventured here. We rented the facility for my daughter's wedding and reception. We had 175 guests. It was perfect! The wedding was outside in the lawn surrounded with beautiful oak trees. Our guests enjoyed the outside patio. Our caterer served dinner in the beautiful dinning room and porch. Later we had a dance and reception in the spacious downstairs area. A Mat, not needed, put pressure on the Bride to just agree! The Bricks had a Monitor Woman cruising our Wedding all nite, included herself in our reception. Felt businesslike instead of OUR PARTY. Honestly, we picked up inside & outside, cigarette butts, papers, anything to prevent not getting our deposit back. It was as nice as when we arrived. The monitor helped pick up, so we did NOT Receive our $1500 deposit. Ms. Monitor made sure! Beautiful Venue, but signer beware! The $1500 was our Wedding gift to our Bride & Groom for their Honeymoon. Very very Disappointing. Nothing we could do.
