These guys take you right into the action and do everything they can to make memories! We wanted to catch some "fighting fish" and they produced SHARKS! Never had to wait more than 5 minutes to get a bite. After the charter, they offered us drinks (not for the average person, but we were 5+ star guests), and when things went south for our group (lost rental, hospital visit,etc) these guys offered us rides, dinner, housing, etc. They arent just a charter. They're amazing humans who will literally give the shirts off their backs to make sure you're taken care of. We can't wait to go back to the Keys from Ohio, just to see them. 100000% recommend! It was clean,the Tiki Bar has very good (but expensive) food, the master bedroom bed is comfy, the 3 A/C units keep most of the boat cool and the manger was nice and answered all of our questions. Thats it for the 1 star rating now for why it should get ZERO stars. there are 2 mini fridges, neither of them is the freezer working. The older unit in the kitchen barely even keeps your food cool. Their website IS VERY miss leading. The so called beach is a rock covered area that you swim at your own risk (yes there are crocodiles in the area) although there have been no incidents we hae heard of, you shoulfd be aware. Cna't bring your own food and drinks down to it either, your supposed to buy their food and drinks. Dont think for a second that your pulling into a "resort" its maybe a Motel 6 type resort, the boat is actaully parked next to mangroves and the scenry is not plesant, very mundane. This was our first experience on a houseboat and we were not aware of the no paper going down the toliet (would have been nice to know ahead of time). The pull out couch was so uncomfortable we ran down to Kmart and bought an air mattress. The Futon was also rock hard, but the younger kids were ok with it (hell they can sleep on a bare floor), but if you have teenagers or adults NO WAY will they be able to sleep on it. Needless to say we would not recommend the Tobbie Dee, can't say I'd recommend the area either.

Instead, we ended up going out for more deep sea fishing in very rough water and multiple folks got very sea sick and were not able to enjoy any fishing. We specifically requested a more in-land experience as we wanted to avold the rougher waters out in the ocean. So beware and double check you are getting the fishing experience you booked...we sure did not.

This year, it was a sunset cruise, which far surpasses a dinner at yet another restaurant. Jill met me at Buzzard's Roost, which was great. I am local, but for folks who aren't, this is a great extra! I got to meet Suzy, their rescue, who was very sweet. Captain Glenn took us from ocean side to bay side to Nest Key for sunset. Close to Nest Key, we encountered at least 25 dolphin feeding. We sat and watched and them when we started to move away, the dolphin wanted to play in the boat's wake. Could not have imagined such a special experience to celebrate a birthday!!! My friends brought refreshments and Lucky Fish supplied reusable cups and also had a tank of water. A plus is their actual head (toilet) aboard. Their cat is a perfect size for 6 passengers. It is well appointed, spotless and very stable. Highest praise for Jill, Glenn and Suzy!

My dad and I recently got our scuba diving certification and planned to go to Key Largo for our…read morefirst open water dive in the ocean since we did our lessons in a lake. We decided not to let the pandemic spoil our 4th of July celebration and spent the holiday in Key Largo. After seeing the larger dive operations with their packed boats of 30+ people all weekend and the COVID-19 outbreak reaching an all-time high in Florida, we made the smarter decision to do a private dive with Lucky Fish Scuba. Captain Glenn and Jill took my dad, my sister and me to the perfect location for our first ocean dive. We had the best time! We were so happy to have the extra attention and instruction as new divers. It was such a stress-free experience. We were able to book the dive last minute, and all of the necessary equipment was on the boat ready for us when we arrived. The boat was beautiful and clean. The equipment was very new and in top condition. Glenn gave us tips to improve our scuba skills. Jill provided snacks and unlimited reef-friendly sunscreen. We even got a video of the dive to share will the rest of our family! I highly recommend using Lucky Fish Scuba if you plan to dive in Key Largo!
