The ladder on our 40' fifth wheel got ripped off just before the gate. The state is working on the road and it's got a real deep valley....be careful. All the sites are paved and you have plenty of room. We like the pool and hot tub and the kids liked the clubhouse. They have a nice playground and horseshoes pits. Now for the bad, there are no heaters in the bathhouse which names taking a shower at 48 degrees really fun. I had issues pulling into my spot because a resident likes to park in the road. After that, I noticed the park didn't like to enforce its own rules. Definitely units over 10 years old that look bad, lots of junk or "stuff" stored outside the units and then people parking in the road all day. We didn't have to deal with the noisy neighbor. We did hear the cart racing, but it was during the day so not an issue for us. read more

Grand Texas RV Resort is a great place to stay. I was here twice for long periods of time....6 months or more at a time. All in all I was here for 1 to 1 1/2 years between 2021-2025. I watched as this place improved themselves time and time again. Expanding pads, improving swimming pool, adding RV canopy's and cabins. You will not find better staff. I stayed at other RV parks before I found these guys and they beat them all hands down. They keep you up to date on things going on like bad weather, power outages really anything that concerns the RV park. You are 20-30 min from Spring, 30-45 min from Huntsville and 1 1/2 hours to Galveston. For me it was close to each one of my projects and easy access to 59. The water park is right across the road and the Go Cart track is next door. This area is growing more and more with the Food Court, McDonald's, Dominos Pizza, and Taco Bell. All of the food places were not here a year ago. This place is pet friendly, kid friendly and family friendly. There are rules they expect everyone to follow such as vehicle speed, quiet time, and leash for your animals. Again, I can not say enough about the people here. Just an all around great place to stay.....I will be back when I get another project in this area. read more

Very disappointing.. we drove in after driving 4 hours, arrived a day late due to a storm and they put someone else in our spot without calling us. We tried to call the evening before but their office hours end early. I paid for the spot and they didn't have the decency to call us before giving our spot to someone else. Then the lady on the phone hung up on me and said it was all my fault for not getting ahold of them. We had to wait for an hour to get a spot. Terrible customer service! read more

Wonderful resort. Staff is super friendly. We just love the pool area with covered tables for shade and their amazing twist tube slide. There is a water park across the street and a speedway track next door. Lots of fun stuff for the kids to do including the games in the community room read more

Have stayed here the past two winters , so few managers come and go, the current staff is amazing, they went out of their way to helps find a site so we could charge our Motorhome batteries after being in a shop for a part replacement. Would recommend staying here long or short term, close to Houston and Galveston also NASA space center. read more

This is the worst RV park I've ever stayed at. I was at an RV park for three and a half years prior to this one and no issues. The manager Melinda Mellegaard is the rudest and most manipulative person you'll ever come across. The manager and staff will pretend to be nice to your face but then talk smack and lie about you and start drama with everyone else. If I were you I would save yourself the stress and money and find a better park to go to. They change the rules as they go. People's vehicles get stolen or damaged and they do nothing but put the blame on everyone else. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else but here. They like to cause drama for everyone because they have nothing better to do in life and an IQ lower than my dogs. read more

1.) The concrete pads are only 11x56foot(back in), not 30x60foot(back in)and the 30x75foot(pull thru) spots are not they are only 11x66 foot(pull thru) 2.) The WiFi DOSE NOT work, so plan on getting your own account with suddenlink or whatever provider you use... 3.) The pool IS NOT heated, it is open all year round just not heated. 3. Pool is also never clean or has way to many chemicals when cleaned. 4.) The dog run they have is ok...it would be better if people ACTUALLY picked up after their dogs!!! And people just let their dogs poop all over the park, so watch your step as you come out your camper you just might have a surprise your not wanting. 5.) The bathrooms are always out of toilet paper, paper towels, soap and ALWAYS FLOAD. The bathrooms are always dirty and stink like must and wet dog since people wash their dogs in there since no dog wash like site states. 6.) The propane, ya its on site but NO ONE is authorized to do it so you CAN NOT get propane...you have to go to town to get it at Mr.Browns or wherever you want to get it. 7.) For the MONTHLY(s) you CAN NOT get your mail here anymore...the excuse they gave us was ALL THE RESORTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DEAL WITH THE MAIL...which is a fib cause weve asked around to local and around houston and they still handle your mail and said they aint making any changes to the mail. 8.) With all the road construction going on on 242, if you have a 40ft or longer trailer you WILL drag! And if your vehicle is to low youll drag there too! Just be warned. 9.) The 3-8 yard dumpsters they have, dont get dumped all the time, so plan on holding your trash or just pile it on the ground around the dumpsters. 10.) They have NEW owner(s), not to sure about the guy thats always on the grounds, he says one thing and does another...they dont let you know of any changes etc... you have to find out on your own and then when bring it up all they say is we emailed you! But when they want to notify you on stuff for the holidays they go around and post notes on your door...why cant they do the same for the changes going around the park like HRs, policies...etc?...crazy i think. When first got here THAT was our due date...now they say EVERYONE is due on the 1st!, that includes your ELECTRICITY that YOU pay ($0.14 per kWh) NOT $0.13 per kWh like site states. They choose when they check the meters and guesstamate what some spots will pay cause there isnt meters at couple spots. 11.) If you have a big rig or long rv be cautious when coming around the corners cause they are not wide enough, so if all the extra parking is full you will hit the vehicles unless you can actually drive. NO one actually drives the 5MPH around the park and people dont watch for kids playing they just fly around the park so beware of that as well. 12.) It states per website that its big rig friendly....no its not, anything but your personal vehicle(s) and RV are allowed in the park. If you have extra cars or trailers of any size you will have to pay to have it across the street at the storage units and now they are no longer 24HR access, it closes at 10PM now. 13.) Also they make you pay your rent to move in but when you try to leave at the end of the month they say u have to pay your rent AGAIN when you are already ahead for lot rent. 14.) The "fitness room" is also like 3 things and the treadmill DONT work! ZERO shade on the playground as well. read more

The people here are very rude and unprofessional. The first thing that was said to me when I approached the counter wasn't hello or anything it was "we don't allow popup campers but because you're already here and your camper looks nice you can stay." They told me it was posted on their website that they don't allow popups there but when I made my reservations there is a drop down menu for you to choose what type of camper you will be staying in and obviously I chose a popup because that is the only type of camper that we own. On my reservations it specifically says a popup camper but they wanted to make me feel like they were doing me a favor by letting me and my family stay there. The dumpsters were overflowing so bad the trash was piled up on the ground and around the cabana area where we were trying to hang out the trashcan was full all weekend. We asked several times if it could be emptied and that was never done so of course we were swarmed by flies the whole time. The place was trashy and I'm not sure what they meant by their comments to me about our popup because by the looks of some of the campers out there ours was in much better shape. I called a couple of weeks prior to our visit to see if we could get a spot closer to the showers and was told they don't reserve spots but when we got there we were told all the spots close to the showers were reserved! This place is a joke!! Out of all the resorts we've taken our family to we have never been treated so bad! My kids vacation was almost ruined by these rude inconsiderate people who have no business running a resort! read more

The park was very clean, nice, and quiet. The only reason I'm rating it as a 3 star is because the park was clearly designed for Class A RVs rather than all RVs. The way the sites are designed we stepped into the grass each time going in and out of the camper. I wouldn't have thought anything about it, if I hadn't noticed that several long term campers had added pavers to their sites to assist with the site design. With so many great attractions developing near the resort I would suggest making alterations to the sites to accommodate all types of rvs. read more
