Brash Brewery is a best kept secret in Houston. I've been coming here for 7 years and hope to continue for many more. One thing that has been depressing to see is their beer list get smaller and smaller. I've always gone to brash for their extra hoppy West Coast IPAs, Pale Ales, and knockout stouts. I can drink a Brash stout all year round, they are that good. But with new management, I haven't seen a stout on draft in so long. Weird place. Very rustic. No air-conditioning. Very counterculture type of graffiti everywhere. The beer was decent. Small topless. When I visited, there was only six beers on tap. Someone recommended they come here further IPAs however they only had one on tap. I had the Czech Pilsner and it was delicious. They play heavy metal music. It's located right next to Black Wolfe CrossFit, which is also playing music. They have a bunch of old arcade games. Plastic cups. No food. read more

Came here this past Friday with my husband and friends. The vibe here has always been weird as this wasn't my first visit here but just my first visit in a while. The brewery is very dirty and filthy but I feel like that's the vibe they are trying to give out. They have games and arcade games. The previous few visits I had there they played metal music but this visit they played a lot of Wu-Tang Clan. Actually while I was ordering my beer I seen a possum crawling in the roof, when I left I was convinced this was a Brash Brewery pet. That possum was way too comfortable. When I took a better look at the roof there was mold literally all over the roof. The beer I got was called Ghost Gose I believe and it was extremely tasty I would like to say. The beer is a sour and it wasn't too tart or too bitter it was just right for my palate. So at least the beers they have actually taste good. They were also holding some sort of weed/THC event there that night and all I could smell was marijuana and I didn't enjoy that at all. All in all, this establishment is okay I guess but it's too dirty and rundown for me to actually say it's a great place to grab a nice brew. read more

My boyfriend's absolute favorite brewery in Houston. Really good beer (my favorite right now is the Ghost, which is really refreshing in the summertime). They play metal music from a jukebox in the corner, and the whole space is filled with arcade games. Picnic tables abound, so there is plenty of seating and space. Lots of funny signage around, but adult humor so definitely not a place I would recommend taking kids. The only reason I gave it four stars is because it is SO HOT. No air conditioning in the warehouse is pretty brutal, especially if you combine it with drinking. There are a lot of nice big fans that help out a lot, but every time I go I end up drenched in sweat. read more

I drove around in circle trying to find this place for probably 15-20 minutes until I saw a skeleton and drove through the alley. This is one of my coworkers favorite places and he mentioned that he's seen so many cool metal bands perform here before they made it big. Happy hour beer is really cheap. There's lots of seating and diversions like arcade games and a pool table. I'm not sure what the food situation is b/c I saw some random guy dragging a cooler of po-boy sandwiches. Definitely a niche place - as the name would suggest, this place has a strong personality, but not in a bad way. It just may or may not be your cup of tea (or beer). I think the beers here are good, I tried something called the Zootbeer which was a rootbeer-flavored pilsner, and it was awesome. We came on a busy night when they were holding the Obscure Oddities market inside, so the place was crowded and very loud. They have some old-school arcade games inside that look fun. Open seating at cafeteria-style long tables inside the warehouse, a few picnic tables and other seating options outside. Does not appear to be heating or A/C, so we were lucky to come on a beautiful spring day. All in all, it is worth checking out because it is very unique, but not sure I will be rushing back to hang out here again (but wouldn't say no to coming back either). read more

Went in on Saturday with some family from out of town to have a variety of beers they have to offer. I was blown away by their selections of IPA's! The bartenders made us all feel at home. This place have a pool table, fooseball table and a wide variety of arcade cabinets. Love the decor and the dark humor. If you're a Christian, you may be offended but seriously grow up. In a city that is getting more and more breweries all the time, Brash didn't make much of an impression! First of all, when I go to a brewery, I want to drink the brewery's brews. Seems obvious, right? Well, when we got to Brash yesterday afternoon, they only had three of their own beers on tap - an IPA, a black IPA, and a pale ale. Not a lot of variety. And they had more non-Brash beers on tap than Brash beers. I didn't go to Brash to drink a B-52; I can get a B-52 beer a million other places in Houston! I did try their IPA (I think it was called Green Cali?), and it was fine. But nothing special. My fiance tried their Black IPA and wasn't a fan (he does not prefer hoppy beers, but Brash didn't leave him with many options if he wanted to try one of theirs). And, while Brash is a big place with tons of space, I wasn't really feeling the ambiance at all. I was excited to see their had arcade games, but the metal playing loudly in the tasting room meant that I wasn't long for Brash. All in all, not a horrible place, but it really didn't stick out positively - especially compared to local breweries with more of their own brews on tap. read more

Brash Brewing Company is exactly that. Brash with a distinct personality. If you love IPAs, classic arcade games, and punk/metal music, then this is your place. Pretty much just IPAs and stouts on tap so not the place if you're looking for something lighter. Besides the smaller selection on brews, the beers are slightly more expensive than other breweries. However, points for nostalgia with the retro games. Easy to miss on the main road, you have to turn into what looks like a residential complex to find the brewery. First off, I'll say I've heard a lot about this brewery. We are from Dallas and are just now getting to check out the Houston brewery scene--we were excited abuout this one. Little hard to find, the GPS just drops you off in the middle of the main street with no brewery in sight, but we found the sign later (see photos from other reviewers). Love the ambiance...then again I'm an ex-emo kid so of course it was my vibe. Music was appropriately loud and fit the feel (IMO), not such that I couldn't talk over it. Not very kid friendly, but then again that's probably part of why it's my vibe--haha Didn't play the games, you know, COVID...but they looked awesome and vintage. Maybe next time! Beer was good, little less variety than some other breweries with a few variations on the core beers as well. Luckily we love stouts and IPAs! Bartenders were super friendly and welcoming. As an addition: The brewery down the street recommended we pick up the new release (see photo) which they allowed us to have a little early. Thanks guys! Music is just distasteful. They definitely should move locations... and be considerate of neighboring residential areas... it's smack dab in the middle and secluded by nothing but residential property.. there's better brewing companies out there like St Arnold's Brewery. read more

This isn't a comfortable place to hang out in- for some reason, the vibe here feels stilted and weird to be around 10 minutes in, and it's really warm- I was sweating through my shirt, while my allergies were being triggered by how dusty it was. The foosball table has a wonky leg too. The selection of beers seems interesting at first glance, but as you look at it, you start to realize that it's the same three beers with different names and abvs. Seriously not worth it. read more

Love this Brewery!! Husband and I came here on a date and had a blast! They have a great selection of beers, our favorites being stouts. We like visiting different breweries in Houston and this one by far is one of the best I've been to. We have been here a few times and always awesome service, people here are really chill. We went to one of their events and had so much fun, even got to watch a live metal band and take pics with the singer. Every time we've ordered food from one of the food trucks it's even really good. One of the best things I love about this place is their arcade games and foos ball that we can play. Not only can we come and have delicious beer but I can play old school arcade games. Not really my kinda place. Beer is pretty good, but it's an old warehouse - no air conditioning - and in the Houston heat that is ROUGH. There are a ton of arcade games which is pretty cool if that's your thing. It's metal-themed with devil shit everywhere which isn't my style, I think the decor would've scared my son if he would've been awake. Music was all metal and LOUD but luckily it didn't last too long before it shut off. The old dust in there made my husband's allergies act up as well as the girl next to us, both of them couldn't stop sneezing which is unappealing. Probably my bottom 3 breweries in Houston and we've been to over 40. Good beer but I can find that anywhere that fits my style a bit better read more

One of my favorite breweries in Houston. Great beer, dope divey venue. Tons of arcade games if you feel like playing. They always have water and cups out for the customers. When you're navigating here, go slow when you're close and look for the sign. It's really not *that* hard to fine, but tucked away enough that the people who are here, actually came here on purpose. Brash Brewing is just the best! Don't expect to find anything small at this awesome brewery. The beers are big and yummy, especially the stouts. The people are larger than life. No small minds here. All are welcome. They adore being the bad boys of Houston here so insults and criticism only fuels their passion. Their social media platforms crack me up! Two walls of arcades and loud music add to the atmosphere. Super dog friendly. Unisex clean bathrooms. Large picnic tables inside and out. Before I write a 1 star review (especially for a brewery) I would normally come back to this place and give it another shot to make sure what I experienced the 1st time was common rather than an outlier. I feel pretty confident here tho that the probs with this place are endemic and so another visit isn't necessary. I'll start with finding the place. The address seems straight forward, fed it into Google and it gave a location. Went to the location and didn't find the actual address. I'm not from Houston but I'm also not someone who can't find an address. Drove around the immediate area for at least a half an hour trying to find some signage or ANYTHING that would tell me where this place was. Finally I parked at the carwash that would actually match the address and started walking around. Sure enough on Cross Street there was a very small sign that was face down on the ground and it was for Brash Brewing. Followed what looked like an alley between two residential buildings and lo and behold there was the brewery. It should have been easier for me to CALL this place and get the pertinent info to find the brewery but they have NO PHONE. They also only have a Facebook page with no helpful info on it as their website. Finally walked into the place and it's as grungy as the other reviews pointed out with some loud metal music playing. That isn't an issue for me so I walked in to try their product. Got the Pussy Wagon IPA which wasn't bad but not outstanding. Drank about 1/2 of one of their stouts which also wasn't standout. The music shut off all of a sudden and then nada for a long time. That is because they have a half assed jukebox that depends on their customers money to work. I decided at this point I had had enough of this place and went to tab out and buy a crowler of the IPA for my son back home. What really chaps me about this is that their crowler is the ONLY one I've ever bought that LEAKED out the cap. I get it home a day later and the sack I put it in was all wet because the beer was leaking out around the cap. This place is more like a few highschool pals got together to brew some beer in their garage or shop and they decided to charge other people to come in and drink and hang out. This place is just not customer friendly and their beers aren't so great that you should waste your time trying to find it. read more

Brash is definitely one of the heaviest hitters in the Houston beer scene. You can always count on them for a strong, bold beer. I've tried several of their brews, and loved them all. I especially love Milk the Venom and Vulgar Display of Power. Basically, all of their stouts. SO GOOD. Pussy Wagon is also delicious, and I'm not even a huge fan of IPAs. Their taproom/brewery is fun with lots of room. It's kind of in a weird location, but worth the venture out there. read more

Stopped in with 2 friends this afternoon. I'm having a hard time with this review because they only had 2 of their own beers, both stouts which are not my thing. They had 5 or 6 other beers on the board, but were out of all of them. So we drove all the way over here hoping to try their beer only to find out we were basically in just a bar. The bartender was nice and let me sample 2 of the choices (B52 Pils and a Live Oak hef). Both good, but again, easily available at other bars. Beers were reasonably priced ($6 each). The inside has tons of arcade games and some basic picnic tables. One person had his dog so dogs maybe allowed and lots of people had kids so I'd say surprisingly kid friend for a place with F*ck You" written on the wall. I'd come back to try again when they actually have their own beer to taste. read more

This place is great. It's tucked away in a nondescript industrial complex. Very similar to how St. Arnold and Karbach started off. When you walk in the place is pretty dark and the juke box is playing some form of heavy metal. To the right are half a dozen picnic tables, the bar, and a wall lined with classic video games. To the left is a crapload of open space (I assume for expansion possibilities) and what can be described as Brash's flux capacitor of of fermentation tanks (see pic). As for the beer they only serve IPAs and Stouts. Great opportunity to make your girlfriends/spouses to suck it up and try something different! Good variety and extremely tasty. Bartenders were also friendly and helpful. The only dig I have was the lack of signage from the road. We had to drive by three times to find the driveway.
