This is our first time visiting the SE location, but we have been going to Dr. Fu's other office in the Grand Plaza of San Marcos for several years now. We came to the SE location for my son's contact fitting (closer to us), and we were extremely pleased with the customer service from the moment we walked in. Also, the place overall is very inviting and bright as is their other location, just a bit smaller in size. David had assisted us from the beginning, and he was very patient and knowledgeable. His patience especially with my 11 year old (1st time contact wearer who took almost 3 hours to put on the contacts) was above and beyond. We are happy the location is very convenient for us, and the staff- exceptional! We came back for his 1 week trials, and Dr. Fu was amazing. She gave him several helpful tips and even connected with him (this time, it took him about 5min for both eyes). read more

I work all day on the computer and found that my eyes would become fatigue for staring at the screen all day. Grand Vision Optometry was top rated on yelp and I thought I'd give them a try. My experience with Dr. Wong was quick, easy, and I contained knowledgeable information that would help me determine which lens would ease my eyes. She then gave me an eye exam that would help determine which lens would fit my needs. Once the eye exam was completed, Dr.Wong then handed me to one of their optician names Leana. she put me on some frames that would suit my extremely large dome. The hardest part was picking which frames would match me. But with her skills and effort, Leana put me in frames that would make me feel confidence with my new look. I've never worn glasses before but with the experience that I've had with Grand Vision Optometry, I wished I walked into the shop sooner! We had an amazing experience here with getting my teenage daughter to wear contacts. AJ was extraordinarily patient with my daughter, spending an hour with her to get her contacts in. My daughter had a terrible experience a year ago with another optometrist and was very scared about the appointment. They were kind and encouraging while assisting her. I live nearby and stopped in to get a quote for a pair of RayBan frames, I had with me the product number and size of frames I wanted. Grand quoted me $50 higher than what my optometrist sells them for. Through RayBan the frames are $140, my optometrist sells them for $179 and they will price match RayBan. Grand in San Elijo wanted $229 and didn't offer to price match when I told them what my optometrist sells the frames for. The office is beautiful and they had an equally beautiful selection of frames but their price was too high. I would have loved to buy from a new local business that's within walking distance to my house, but unfortunately I won't be back. I really want to support the new businesses moving into the San Elijo Town Center but I just justify paying a premium for convenience. read more

I've been busy all year and didn't have the time to schedule my annual eye exam until December. I was worry I wouldn't get an appointment before 2019 but when I called I was very please they were able to accommodate me at their new office on San Elijo Rd on a Saturday. The new office is beautifully decorated and I was greeted by some of the same staff from the Las Posas office so it also felt familiar. And I saw my regular doctor...YEAH! As usual, they have a large selection of frames. Thank god the optician helped me find a frame that suits my petite face. I highly recommend getting glasses here especially if you're hard to fit like me. read more
