I had fairly new glasses about three months, dropped them and scratched them real bad. They took them replaced with new lenses at no cost.

I've been going to the eye doctor since middle school for glasses and this place is by far the best office I've been to. Super lux office space. Super friendly and helpful staff. Super nice doctors. They honestly go above and beyond the call of duty here. This has been my place for a few years now and they have not disappointed. Last year they got me in last minute when my baby poked me in the eye and they saved me! (All good now btw lol) This last time when I went in for new frames and prescription the lady worked magic on my prescription sunglasses that I totally jacked up from like 2017. Like, they were completely smashed and she made them like new in 5 min for free (didn't even get them there). She also offered to clean and fix up my older pairs for free. So kind. They have a really wide range of frames to choose from too. Can't speak to their other location since I've only been to this one. But yeah. No complaints. read more

I called Grand Vision Optometry to check on the status of my contact lens order placed about a week ago. I mentioned needing trial lenses in the meantime but was told they don't carry trials for prescriptions as high as mine. I disagreed, as I've never had an issue getting trials in my 15+ years as a patient. I then called the Los Posas location, and Jose was incredibly helpful--he answered all my questions thoroughly and went above and beyond to find a solution. Sometimes, you just need the right person. First time getting glasses but second time at an optometrist. Dr Lam is great, nice, and and takes her time. Ordered glasses waiting to get them in 2-3 weeks. Will update quality and how they fit. Came for the second time to look for glasses and Ashley* who sits at the front door is welcoming, pleasant and when she assisted me with my glasses she was very helpful and knowledgeable. This place not only has a good good assortment of frames but getting the attention to figure it all out is amazing and excellent customer service. Myself and both kids had regular and contact lens exams last summer with no issues. My husband had a contact lens exam a month ago and they refused to refill the contact lenses he's had for years encouraging him to try newer technology. He tried multiple brands and didn't like them and has had to call multiple times to try and get the rx for the lenses he likes and has used for years. The person who answers the phone continues to tell him they'll email it and he still does not have the RX in hand. It's been two weeks. read more

Today, October 25, 2023 I went for my yearly exam at Grand Vision Optometry in San Elijo Hills, San Marcos. I saw Dr. Lam who was so friendly, knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. I've been seeing Dr. Fu for several years at their office in San Marcos by Nordstrom's Rack ( how convenient for me!). But when the San Elijo Hills office opened I went there since it's close to my home. I can tell you honestly that this practice is helpful, professional and caring. Their prices are lower than any place I've been to in the past and they deal with all that annoying insurance paperwork. And they know their stuff! They carry all levels of eyewear from inexpensive to the latest designer trends. And the office customer service clerks are patient and give honest feedback if you ask about eyewear selection. And they do not try to upsell you which I find refreshing. Good Optometrist are hard to find, so when I found Dr. Fu and now Dr. Lam, I was elated!!! So it has been 5 years since I got my eyes checked and finally made it back to getting my exam. Just want to say how amazing the staff is here and how comfortable it was to get my eyes checked. From the moment I walked in and being greeted by AJ, I felt welcomed. So I started with Lupe who did my eye check up and helped me fill out some paperwork. She was so friendly and made the exam easy and quick. Dr. Lam was awesome, she took time to go over what she is going to check and answered any questions I had. She made the experience so easy and exam so smooth. But the best part of the day was the customer service and attentiveness that I received from AJ, who went above and beyond to get me fitted for my frames, contact lenses training and also explained to me what my insurance covered and gave me pricing. The front desk staff and Dr. Lam were friendly, professional, efficient, and explained procedures and costs clearly. Daisy helped me choose two new frames (sunglasses and distance) and figure out the best combination of insurance and discounts to bring the cost down. She was patient and friendly. The space is clean and welcoming. They have an upscale decor. They offer water and there is a TV with actual entertaining shows. Even if you have to wait a few minutes, you are comfortable. The most important piece is their costumer service. They go above and beyond. The staff take their time with you and help guide you in finding the best pair of eyeglasses for your face shape that are stylish. They constantly communicate how long it will be when you will be seeing the optometrist. When you get your glasses they put it in a cute gift bag with a case, glass cleaner and cloth. WOW! New business and I can tell they are here to stay! I hadn't been to an eye doctor in a long time and the equipment seemed top of the line. Prices were incredible and so many selections. The office itself was very inviting and beautiful. The owner must have taken a lot of time into the decorating. The employees were phenomenal, made me fee very comfortable. I decided to get a pair of glasses for in front of a computer /blue light. I'm very picky cause my face is rounder and it's hard to like a pair of glasses. David was so patient and really helped me pick out a great pair. I must have tried on at least 20 different pairs. After not finding the right fit but loving sunglasses, David suggested popping out the frames to a pair of sunglasses and use those frames! SUCH A GREAT IDEA FOR ME ! The team here was so in sync - so friendly, and very competent. Sofia is a very welcoming receptionist/admin - her customer service is top notch. The tech and Dr. Lam were thorough, listened to my particular requests and had good suggestions of things to try (specs vs lenses). They were very patient with me as I tried to and remember my vision history, as well as putting in my tester contact lenses. They accept my VSP insurance, and Sofia was very knowledgae with her explanation of what is covered and the final costs.
