I was in dire need of a new pair of glasses and I needed them quick so that I could wear them right after an upcoming eye surgery. My optometrist wasn't able to accommodate in that short amount of time but after calling around a few places in San Marcos, I talked to Miguel at Lens 4 Less and he said he could have them for me in a couple of days. It was really cheap, like 30 bucks, and the frames look great! Then, because I'm a big klutz, I sat on them and broke them. Miguel fixed them for free in about 2 minutes! This is the only place I trust with my vintage frames. They do amazing work. Look, I like to consider myself a super easy going person when it comes to conversation and whatnot with people who are working in the store so I don't consider myself one to ever complain about services, especially during the pandemic unless absolutely necessary. However, I went in yesterday (Friday January 15th) around 2/2:30 pm. I was making small talk with the guy at the counter when out of nowhere he said "you look different than the last time I saw you." (I had never seen this guy before in my life). To which I replied that I had just recently dyed my hair. He then replied that he "wasn't looking at my hair", insinuating he was staring at my breasts. He then asked if I was single, and I told him I wasn't. I feel disgusted and grossed out that this was my experience at this location when, just a week prior I went in and had a pleasant experience with the other guy at the counter. This was so inappropriate to have been said to a customer, or to anyone! Why did this guy think this was okay to say to me? I don't care if it's because he thought he was making conversation, I don't care if he thought it would be funny, it's sexual harassment. I am so, so upset over this and will never return to this location. Escondido and oceanside, sure, but not the San Marcos location since apparently I can't go there without fear of being sexually harassed by one of the staff members. The glasses came out well though, so I guess that's a plus. Could've gone without the sexual harassment on the side though. read more
