if I could give 20 stars, I would. This place is truly a hidden treasure. The campground is beautiful with all full hookup sites. The bath houses are always clean. They have one of the best campground pole I have ever been to with some great waterslides. Craig the manager is super friendly and welcoming. You can tell he really enjoys his job. Brittany is the manager of the zipline and ropes courses. When no one else would do the swing with me, she did. She is great and fun. we were able to take a tour of the houses and cabins. They are all beautiful inside. Truly our favorite place for a local camping trip! And don't forget to get ice cream and swing on the almond heaven swing, after playing a game of putt putt golf!!! read more

Grand Vue Park - Parks Near Me - Moundsville, West Virginia

I visited the park just for the scenic view on a Sunday evening in mid-June 2025. First, the vista is really pretty where you can see the deep bend in the Ohio River, the town of Moundsville below, and the surrounding hills. Second, the scenic trail is easy to access from the end of the parking lot (follow signs or your Google map). Third, it was not very crowded when I visited - just 3 people hanging out. If you are in the area of Moundsville to visit the Grave Creek Mound, why not take an extra 10 minutes to drive up to Grand Vue? That said, if you are in a hurry to get somewhere, this is not necessarily worth a stop as the highlight is simply the easily accessible view itself. read more

We loved camping at this campground! Mind you it's new so there wasn't any big trees for shade, which we personally prefer, but everything else made that alright. We booked the zip line and it was great fun! The ice cream store, soooo good. The views at the overlooks, the cleanliness and overall fun that can be had there was great. Grandvue park was beautiful...a hidden gem! We tried the big zip line and the base adventure camp. They were both a blast and the zipline was my favorite of the day. The zipline took 30 minutes and base camp was two hours. I recommend being a cooler with water, snacks ect. The instructors couldn't have been more helpful,kind and informative. They really made the experience that much better! If there are kids in your party, they have to be over 70 pounds to zipline. We didn't stay but got a look at the cabins. The trees top cabins are very nice and have been recently updated. read more

This place is amazing, only a few years old. Well kept and clean as a whistle. The view of the town off the mountain in the morning is really nice as the fog burns off and rolls up the valley. Large sites, level and with stones as a base. Handles big units and smaller ones too. Blacktop drive that's nice for kids to bike ride or roller blade. Not dog park but plenty of room for them to be lead around. Poop bags and cans available and large garbage bins at both ends. Tent camping on the back end that's far enough away and yet close enough to the rv's. Security keeps a check on the place and there is a shuttle that will take you down town if you have a motor home at no extra car. Yup. That's right. A shuttle ‍. Who would have thunk. Really glad we came and with definitely put it on the must go to again list. read more

I was beyond impressed with Grand Vue Adventure Park. When I booked for my son online I was unsure what all he would actually do here. We arrived about 15minutes before our time slot and were waited on promptly. They then got my son all geared up and gave him a thorough instructions on how to use the equipment. My son(8yrs old) was nervous of the activities that were higher, but with the encouragement of Joseph & Daniel he did all activities except the ropes. They were so positive and uplifting and really made this experience 10 times better. read more

My family and I went to a murder mystery dinner at Grand Vue this evening. I left very upset with this event because of all of the hidden fees. The actors were PHENOMENAL and very entertaining. But it was outrageous that I paid $79 for 2 tickets that were supposed to be $24.99 each according to the post. But the cashier said I HAD to pay $29.99 each because that's just what their boss told them to charge (even though I showed her the price was clearly stated differently on their Facebook post-I attached the pic) and a drink (which everyone in the building assumed came with the included dinner but it was $1.99). On top of that I was charged like a $14 service fee for the waiters to take our plates away(it was a buffet style dinner.) I may have been ok with paying this total if they were transparent about the price but there were so many hidden fees that I just left unhappy. And I was not the only one. This review is specifically for the zip line tour. I purchased the recent groupon for the zip lining tour, having never been before and very eager to try the experience. I have to say the experience itself was amazing - beautiful views, a nice adrenaline pumping zip the trees - the ziplining itself honestly is five stars. Same goes for the tour guides we had - pretty funny guys, knowledgable and helpful, exactly what you want in a guide. I have to say however I am extremely disappointed in the administrative aspects of the trip. After purchasing the groupon we were told some line about taxes etc etc and had to pay $5 extra (with no previous mention of this). Next you can't take your own pictures of course but they will be happy to charge you $9 for the package. Seems like kind of a deal since there were probably 5-10ish pictures taken and nice to have. They fail to mention this is $9/person in the group- even if only one person wants/needs them. By the end of the day it felt like they were nickel and diming you every step of the way with many hidden/misleading fees/charges. Needless to say it left me with a very bad taste in my mouth after having had a great time. In short ( and congrats if you've made it this far), it's a great experience but plan on paying another $10 on top just because. read more

This was my very first time ever ziplining and I was definitely a little nervous due to my fear of heights. The main reason I give this place a 5 star is because of the staff. The ziplining was a blast but it was the staff that made it such an enjoyable experience. Upon arrival the staff asked if anyone in the group was nervous for any reason and after finding out I was a little hesitant they did everything they could to help make me feel comfortable. The tour guides we went out with, Ty and Kevin, made our ziplining tour a blast. You could just tell that they loved their job. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for something fun and different to do in the summer time! read more

Grand Vue Park deserves a million stars! We got married on 10/23/21 in the lawn and then had our reception inside the Banquet Hall. Kara Hall, the Banquet Manager was absolutely amazing to work with! The venue was never something I had to stress over which was very important in wedding planning. She answered emails immediately and adjusted her schedule to be there the night before the wedding and the entire day of! There was no need to worry about anything or hire a wedding coordinator because she was it!!! She made sure our experience was one nobody will ever forget! I truly cannot thank her or the Grand Vue staff enough for making our special day so perfect! I also need to add that we had guests stay in each of the cabins up there and every single one was clean and comfortable for our guests! Everyone needs to stay in a treetop cabin at least once! We will be back for our anniversary next year, no doubt!!! read more

My fiancé and I stayed here in the Treehouse Villa and it was amazing! Very clean and super cozy. The staff was accommodating and helpful when we locked ourselves out on accident. The hot tub on the back porch with the most scenic overlook made for a romantic and really fun evening. Plenty of anmenities to make your stay just as comfortable as home. Their ZipLine Canopy Tour is closed and no refunds. I purchased a Groupon for the 3.5 hour canopy zip line tour. I can't use the Groupon because the ZipLine has been closed due to safety standards required by the manufacturer. Grandvue has no date as to if or when the ZipLine will reopen. Groupon will not refund my money and Grandvue refuses to provide a refund. Horrible business practices by both organizations. I will never go to Grandvue again. read more

If you stay here make sure you pay cash. If they have your card information you will be erroneously charged days after your stay without your knowledge or consent. Hopefully Marshall county will address the management issues this park seems to have. As a local I am disappointed, but this seems to be the consensus around the area. read more

I went to this park for a family wedding. We rented 4 cabins for our family to spend the weekend, enjoy the park and go to the wedding. The real trouble started when we got home. The park charged my credit card 100.00 for damage to the cabin. I called and talked to the park manager and explained to him that the damage was not done by us. We would not vandulize the cabin like this. He said he would never acuse us of vandulizing the cabin but the damaged needed to be fixed and I was going to pay for it. You were the last one there so it must be your fault. It was so wrong. If you stay there take pictures of the cabin or have the manager walk through the cabin with you. Otherwise It's their word against yours and they have your card number and they will use it. So wrong to be treated this way. Go somewhere else. read more

This place is so unorganized and so unprofessional. I bought a Living Social promotion for this place on 9/24/2015 that same day I called them to make a reservation for the zip line tour for 10/16/2015. I gave them all my information the asked for and then I was told i had to wait for a conformation call closer to the date by 10/8/2015 I had not received a call, so I proceeded to call them to touch base. The rude employee I spoke to said they were still waiting for another group to confirm and that they COULD NOT "assure" me that the tour would happen that day. I explained to the rep. that I was flying in to Pittsburgh, PA from AZ and then I would have to drive about 1.5 hours to get to Grand Vue Park so I needed to know sooner rather later if I needed to change my plans and attempt to get a refund. She told me I would have to wait for them to call me. I asked when I would receive a call and all she said wad some time next week... so on 10/12/2015 I waited till 1 hour prior to closing and called once again and spoke with Heidi who was nice, but when she checked on my reservation it wasn't even in the system she how ever didn't offer another reservation or anything !!!! I explained to her once again I am flying cross country I cant reschedule I asked to speak to a manager and she informed me all the managers had left for the day except for Craig i asked to speak to him, however he has "stepped out" for a few minutes so i was transferred to a voice mail. I still haven't received a call from Craig! I called living social and was able to get a refund and I will be taking my business else where! read more
