Hampton Inn has a Free Continental breakfast from 6 AM to 10 AM. Hilton Honors members can grab a "to go bag" if you're in a rush and don't have time for breakfast. They also have complementary coffee, hot chocolate, hot tea in the lobby area. There are plenty of restaurants nearby for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Description says check in anytime after 3 pm and "will be greeted by front desk." There is no front desk. There is a doorbell outside a window that no one answered. After driving over 9 hours with my child and arriving after 11 pm there was no one available to check us in. Tried calling the hotel and did not get and answer. Tried calling the OYO 800# and they attempted to reach someone at the hotel and did not get an answer. No solution offered by OYO. Tried to find somewhere else to stay, but there was nothing nearby. There were not even any open gas stations/bussiness nearby where we could safely park. We slept in our car overnight. I knew I did not book the Ritz. I knew it was a "no tell Motel." I did not expect much in the way of quality as far as the room/facility was concerned, but I did expect to be able to check in and have a safe place to stay.

The smell was very bad too. I decided to take a shower only to find that the drain did not work right , the toilet almost overflowed and was of no use and the toilet paper dispenser was broken. I got a drink and sat it down only t to see a line of ants coming through the cracks in the wall close to the air conditioner to get into my drink. I started itching and wanted to see why. I unfolded the blankets to see they were disgustingly black in spots, had some other stains in other spots, had hairs that were definitely not mine, the pillows were very old and stained, and rat droppings existed on the bottom mattress. The ventilation was bad, the lighting was terrible, the microwave did not work, the small refrigerator made a humming noise, the carpet was stained and could smell the muskiness of it, mold existed on the bottoms of the walls, wallpaper was peeling, and the staff was obnoxiously rude and degrading

At sunset we grilled out and star gazed when it got dark, while making s'mores. The cottage was decorated so cute and girly, I loved all the details that were put into it. The hospitality we received was excellent! Ileaka and Papa Phil went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. We hated to leave, and would love to come back again soon.
