Mango mojito
Keilon L.

The food was very good. The service was just ok. I feel like service in restaurants in London is never something to look forward to being impressed by so I won't particularly bash it in this instance. The loss star has more to do with how lackluster the cocktail was. I ordered mango mojito which is a pretty standard drink for a decent restaurant to do well...it was trash in a pretty glass. They just poured some kind of mango syrup in a glass and topped it with mojito, no stir, no love, no effort. I almost want to take another star away because I'm writing this and it's making me upset 2 weeks later. The food is the saving grace. Everything was fresh. They get bonus points for a great cheese on the sandwich and the fries were a level up from most places you'd visit. I like it when a restaurant can make a simple dish more memorable and the touch of the [for lack of knowing the sauce exactly] sweet and sour sauce worked well with the flavor presentations as opposed to simply dropping a communal ketchup bottle on the table. We sat on the busy outdoor patio with enough foot traffic in the area to annoy you but insulated enough from it and other tables to not mind it at all. I'd come back here for lunch and beer.

classic section - toasted dusty knuckle sourdough, avocado, lime and coriander + poached egg

amazing breakfast, less than an hour wait on a Saturday morning. Large portions, they definitely don't skimp on the avocado or tomatoes, etc. Was nice to have matcha lattes for a change. Service was eh to be honest, but they did our best. Wouldn't knock it because of this.

Pancakes

The banana ricotta pancakes were delicious, service was lacking but that's quite common from my experience in London thus far. I would say it's a nice place to eat and quite cute inside, but would not go out of my way to recommend it

the food was amazing since i'm vegan the waitress took the menu from me and said that they have another seperate menu just for vegans (which is AMAZING) i felt welcomed because of the helpful staff and the manager was amazing, she catered to my special requests and was really nice. the ambiance/vibes were so good.

Aussie breakfast. Conspicuous lack of comp'ed toast.

The Aussie breakfast is good but I was surprised no toast came with it. For nearly £14, the stars are for the food sans bread: good but not great value. I didn't order drinks. The two stars are due to nonexistent other service following taking my order and wait staff embarrassing me over not giving the entire 12.5% *discretionary* tip when I settled. I decided 10% would suffice: I was seated at the bar, got water and my breakfast, but wasn't offered a refill of water or was even checked in with once after food was delivered. To be honest, I wish I'd given less.

Solid - a very good joint for breakfast. Stick with the basics and it's not too pricey. Friendly staff

We visited for a pre-"Hamilton" (the musical playing around the corner at the Victoria Theatre)…read moredinner after searching on Yelp for some well-rated restaurants in the area. My son made a reservation and must have been asked about his birthday, because after being seated by the friendly maitre d' (I think his name was Alex), the maitre d' returned to the table to note that he had been informed that it was someone's birthday. We confirmed that it was my son's birthday the following day, at which point the maitre d' left and came back a few minutes later with a card for my son. The card wished my son Happy Birthday from the various wait staff and said we were being given a 20% discount off our meal (typically, the gift is 20% off your next meal, but the matter d' recognized we were from the US and were unlikely to be making regular visits to the restaurant). After this wonderful greeting, we ordered food from the pre-theatre menu, and we loved all of the food except the tempura broccoli, which was very heavy and too salty for my taste. My son and I especially liked the Longhorn sirloin steak with an egg on top, and my wife was happy with her king prawn salad. My only disappointment was that we ate too much that day and, therefore, we decided to forego dessert, which meant no sticky toffee doughnut. Overall, an excellent meal!

Stopped in on a rainy day to grab lunch after reading other Yelp reviews. I will add that we are…read more~American~ so our tastes may be different than others, but that being said we loved the food! We ordered the Chicken Bun (which is a Chicken Sandwich) and it was super good! The chipotle Mayo really makes the dish. The lamb lettuce bowl was good as well, heavy on the raisins. Skewers were tasty as well. We got artichoke dip to start and it was really great, has a hint of lime. The only food that wasn't exactly what we expected was the mac&cheese, it could use a bit more cheesy cheese. Overall super cute ambiance, great food & kind people! Would come again!!

Reasons to go to Crussh:…read more 1. Lean green juice 2. Green goddess juice 3. Beetroot & apple hijiki salad 4. Superfood salad (good food that's probably good for you that tastes good too). Also, I'm constantly amazed by the service here - when you're picking up 10 different lunches and 10 different juices for work, it's a miracle that someone can actually keep up!

Hello new favourite soup place!…read more You see, it's wintery now. And when it's wintery I hibernate a little. So wrapping up all cosy and eating homemade soup is going to happen for the next few months. Unfortunately, my office doesn't have a microwave so I have to make do with shop soup. But that's OK! I have Crussh! Seriously. I love. We somehow managed to make ordering very complicated - we had four different fivers from four different people, we ordered everything wrong and we were a bit annoyed by the whole experience. And we'd only gone in becuase our local changed the soup to something a bit rubbish at the last minute. But then we finally got things sorted (half an hour this took us - why?) and tried the soup. Oh my god the soup. Chorizo, bacon and lentil goodness to make us all full up and warm and happy. Yummy yum yum yum. yay! There's about ten choices a day too - simple, gournet and 'stew' if memory serves. In my head, I'm giving them five star, but really, it shouldn't cost over four ounds for large soup and bread. Plus, due to the previously mentioned mix up, i only got a small soup, and well, as filling as the soups are the size was pretty stingy. The cups have that raise bit in the bottom so they're even smaller than they really look. Was a bit annoyed and stole some of my friends. You need a large. And you need to love soup to be willing to spend that much, but it's oh so yummy I fully intend to go back tomorrow.
