This is perhaps the swankiest Granger & Co. I've been to in London. Unsurprising, given the area. The space is large, yet always packed, unless it's near closing; so, reserve away. The few downsides in terms of atmosphere are the noise and the tiny tables available when it's only one or two people. There's barely any space for the plates. The food, while seemingly more limited than the other Granger & Co. restaurants I've been to, is top-notch and well worth what you pay for it. The options range from a few salads, to seafood dishes, steak, and one of the tastiest burgers and fries you're likely to have in London. They also don't skimp on the portions, so you won't be leaving hungry, even if you go for one of their ridiculously-healthy salads. The drinks are all next-level and carefully selected to please a more sophisticated palate. The cocktails aren't overly sugary and the prices have managed to stay decent in spite of how expensive everything has become. This is more of a "special occasion" spot, in my opinion, but the food has always given me something to look forward to, as the quality has remained consistent throughout the years, and those Ricotta Hotcakes thankfully haven't gone anywhere. Went here for dinner but feel like it might come to life for brunch! I ordered a limoncello spritz to drink, but they were out of limoncello, so brought me a bergamont spritz instead. It was way too bitter for me, and they were super gracious and understanding that I didn't want to finish it. Got the seasonal bellini instead and it was STELLAR! Pear and something- so good and autumnal. They do have a gluten free menu, but you have to request it. I am gluten free and vegetarian and there were a few good options for me. I ended up getting the curry, which was good. I am very used to the thai food in Seattle so this didn't feel like anything special, but it was good. Their dessert menu looked amazing and I was tempted by the pavlova. Will definitely be back to try brunch. read more

The food was very good. The service was just ok. I feel like service in restaurants in London is never something to look forward to being impressed by so I won't particularly bash it in this instance. The loss star has more to do with how lackluster the cocktail was. I ordered mango mojito which is a pretty standard drink for a decent restaurant to do well...it was trash in a pretty glass. They just poured some kind of mango syrup in a glass and topped it with mojito, no stir, no love, no effort. I almost want to take another star away because I'm writing this and it's making me upset 2 weeks later. The food is the saving grace. Everything was fresh. They get bonus points for a great cheese on the sandwich and the fries were a level up from most places you'd visit. I like it when a restaurant can make a simple dish more memorable and the touch of the [for lack of knowing the sauce exactly] sweet and sour sauce worked well with the flavor presentations as opposed to simply dropping a communal ketchup bottle on the table. We sat on the busy outdoor patio with enough foot traffic in the area to annoy you but insulated enough from it and other tables to not mind it at all. The Aussie breakfast is good but I was surprised no toast came with it. For nearly £14, the stars are for the food sans bread: good but not great value. I didn't order drinks. The two stars are due to nonexistent other service following taking my order and wait staff embarrassing me over not giving the entire 12.5% *discretionary* tip when I settled. I decided 10% would suffice: I was seated at the bar, got water and my breakfast, but wasn't offered a refill of water or was even checked in with once after food was delivered. Lovely place! Warm and sunny and vibrant with great coffee, fresh juice, nice menu (I had the scrambled eggs with toast and avocado and mushrooms) which was so fresh and amazing in flavor!! Sounds simple but it was fantastic and a large portion! The staff are amazing and kind and friendly people who are clearly working hard to make this place run very smoothly!! Clearly a very popular place but the wait wasn't bad at all! They are on top of their game here! I highly recommend and wish I could return to try more off the menu! read more

We were staying at a hotel around the corner and came here for breakfast our first morning visiting London. The menu looked amazing on their website and it didn't disappoint. Coffees came quickly, followed by an açaí bowl (me) and corn pancakes (husband). From the website I thought it was going to be an 'order at the counter' place but it's more of a proper sit down brunch spot. Our food was delicious and the service was solid. Only issue was that they packed in the tables very tight. So tight I wasn't able to get out and I'm somewhat of a petite person. It was also hard to hear and have a conversation with my 'date'. I had the "Aussie Breakfast" gluten free prepared + added free toast. amazing and healthy. When I first got the plate I was sort of confused. I think we Americans prefer a neat presentation/concoction of a breakfast like an Omelette or breakfast sandwich where English people like to have their tomatoes and avocado separated and on a plate a la Carte. But combine the ingredients and it's very hearty and good .. coffee is great with large alternative milk options including almond milk and oat milk. read more
