I cannot recommend Dr. Uprichard and the entire staff enough. If I could give 1,000 stars, I would!…read moreMy daughter has been a patient here since she was three years old. This past weekend, at age 16, she suffered a terrible injury and busted her two front teeth while working out. As any parent knows, this is a crisis, especially for a teenage girl. Exceptional Weekend Support: I called the office on a Sunday, completely stressed, and they immediately provided guidance, walking me through exactly what needed to be done over the weekend. That immediate, compassionate support meant everything. Unbelievable Accommodation: I was able to bring her in early on a Monday morning (today). I believe they accommodated us when they might have otherwise been off work, which speaks volumes about their dedication. Compassionate and Professional Care: From the moment we walked in, the entire staff was AMAZING. They showed incredible empathy, understanding how devastating this situation is for a 16-year-old girl needing to attend school. They were kind, professional, and went truly ABOVE and BEYOND to help us. I mean the entire staff! From the individual who took my frantic Sunday call, to the front desk when we walked in, to everyone who assisted with her care--every single person was outstanding. Dr. Uprichard and the entire team: THANK YOU SO MUCH! We are so incredibly grateful for your swift, kind, and excellent care. We appreciate you all more than words can say!

They close between 12-1 for lunch but hadn't bothered to mention that in the 8 million reminders they sent about our 1:00 appointment. All I wanted to do was sit in the waiting room with my child (who is terrified of the dentist in the first place). They refused to make an exception to their policy even though they admitted we should have been told about the closure. The stated reason given was that somehow we could access private patient information if we were in the waiting room, which they claimed was unmonitored even though the person who was sitting at reception was actually the person who let us in. I'd like to say it was just the reception person, but I actually talked to three different staff in the course of our encounter, so the stupidity is endemic. They would rather lose a patient (and any siblings) forever than use common sense. Based on their actions, I don't think they need the business so don't give them yours!

My child was recovering from surgery and got the flu, and I forgot to call to reschedule. We have SO much work we need to get done in her mouth and sorry, you can't come here anymore they say. Are you kidding!!!! Do these guys even have a heart! My daughter has been through hell (Diabetic, kidney disease survivor and a cancer survivor) and we were told sorry, hit the door. After going there once again for 9 years!! Who does that? Now I am struggling to find another dentist locally that takes medicaid. After explaining this over and over, they couldn't have cared less. I realized then we deserve sooooooooooo much better than this, and so do you! Do you not go here!! They don't care about your situation no matter what it is.

Poor Attitude Bad Work…read more July 2019 I arrived for my daughter's appointment. They did not have her appointment on the schedule. They worked her in. July 2019 my daughter was x-rayed. The hygienist said the x-ray looked great, no cavities. The dentist came to examine and said my daughter had 3 cavities that needed fillings but, they would wait and x-ray in another 6 months. January 2020, my daughter again had x-rays. I was again told she had 3 cavities. She was scheduled to have the 1 on the one side fixed separate from the other side. The soonest appointment they could get her in was April 2020. April 2020 COVID - appointment cancelled. End of May 2020 my daughter got in to have her filling done. Upstate said she had 1 cavity on the one side and two on the other, between her molars. The office said they had a COVID policy that all staff & parents would wear masks. The assistant entering & handing things across my daughter to the assistant was not wearing a mask, the receptionist was not wearing a mask, several adults accompanying patients were not wearing masks. The staff members not wearing masks had the masks on their chins. I reached out to the office in writing regarding their staff not following their own COVID-19 policy. I received a nasty response telling me to find another dentist. End of June 2020, I had my daughter's records transferred to another dentist. The new dentist looking at Upstate's January 2020 x-ray spotted an additional cavity that Upstate did not see. She had 2 cavities on each side between her molars, not 1 on the one side and 2 on the other. Upstate had missed a cavity. The new dentist also did a new X-ray finding that Upstate did not remove all of her cavity when doing the filling that they did last month. Part of the cavity is still visible on the x-ray at the filling. The unpleasant response I received telling me to find another pediatric dental office was a blessing in disguise.

Multiple times we felt uncomfortable because they would not allow the parents to watch the x-rays being taken. I did end up forcing my way there because my child was crying, but multiple times the tech was discouraging it and saying there wasn't enough room for me etc....it was very odd. And then when my child was about to have work done, they wouldn't let us back there and the entire process they were not communicating with us and after like 15 minutes, my husband finally just walked back there and grabbed her out of the seat. Then, when we tried to get her x-rays transferred to a new dentist, it was as if they were punishing us for leaving as it was literally like 30 phone calls over multiple days to try and get the images sent. At first, they FAXED a copy of them over - how archaic and not even how it works... how is a dentist supposed to read a copied digital image - they couldn't see a thing. Even our new dentist said the few times they have dealt with Mighty Mouths it has been a struggle and they are about to say they will no longer take patients transferring for them because of how difficult it is. Dr. Martin was so unprofessional speaking to me and ultimately hung up on me. She explained that she gives her staff 3 days to send x-rays. Well for one, it had been 3 days. And two, she doesn't allow her staff anything because the staff told me over and over that they don't have access to the email address and they don't have access to the digital files, which is why they faxed them. So it's odd that Dr. Martin holds information captive from her staff so they cannot properly do their jobs?! And then she was saying I could come pick up the x-rays myself (instead of her just pushing a button to send the files), but only during a certain time! Which would not be enough time to get to my daughter's appointment at the new dentist (which I had to walk out from the other day since they hadn't sent them yet). So it all seemed intentional sabotage because we were leaving their practice....it was a JOKE, and so shady and unprofessional and rude. Don't go there.
